The problems that occur in chef selection have been carried out by the Head of Chef and most likely not all criteria for lexis are made judged, sometimes only a few criteria are assessed. A good restaurant certainly needs to reconsider the chef who will be accepted according to predetermined criteria. The success of a restaurant business in the background of pengelolahan in it, including the selection of a good chef will encourage the success of the restaurant. In dealing with chef selection problems conducted by the Head of Chef, a decision support system can be developed in the face of chef acceptance selection problems, namely by using the Composite Performance Index method. The criteria that will be used as an assessment are the taste of cuisine, experience, speed, creativity, education, and cleanliness. For this reason, the author hopes that the application system for receiving chef selection decisions using the Composite Performance Index method can facilitate Fishermen's Restaurant in the chef's reception selection. Keywords: Decision Support Systems, Chefs, Restaurants, Composite Performance Index

Evidence-based assessment relies on research and theory to inform the selection of constructs to be assessed for a specific assessment purpose, the methods and measures to be used in the assessment, and the manner in which the assessment process unfolds. An evidence-based approach to clinical assessment necessitates the recognition that, even when evidence-based instruments are used, the assessment process is a decision-making task in which hypotheses must be iteratively formulated and tested. In this chapter, we review (a) the progress that has been made in developing an evidence-based approach to clinical assessment in the past decade and (b) the many challenges that lie ahead if clinical assessment is to be truly evidence-based.

The current study attempts to explore the attitudes of the auditors towards the level of knowledge of Information Technology (IT) and its importance in Kuwait. To achieve these objectives, structure questionnaires were distributed among these auditors. The analysis covers 5 technology categories namely General Office Automation (GOA), Audit Automation (AA), Accounting Firm Office Automation (AFOA), E-Commerce Technologies (ECT) and System Design and Implementation (SDI).It is found that the view of auditors to IT knowledge degree is lower than their view towards the importance of the technologies. The auditors have satisfactory knowledge only in GOA category and unsatisfactory knowledge for other four categories. It is also found that auditors rank AFOA category is the most significant category in terms of IT importance and knowledge and rank (ECT) the lowest category in terms of both importance and IT knowledge.

The main objective of this paper is present a novel method to choice a certain wind turbine for a specific site by using normalized power and capacity factor curves. The site matching is based on identifying the optimum turbine rotation speed parameters from turbine performance index (TPI) curve, which is obtained from the higher values of normalized power and capacity factor curves. Wind Turbine Performance Index a new ranking parameter, is defined to optimally match turbines to wind site. The relations (plots) of normalized power, capacity factor, and turbine performance index versus normalized rated wind speed are drawn for a known value of Weibull shape parameter of a site, thus a superior method is used for Weibull parameters estimation which is called Equivalent Energy Method (EEM).

Purpose The selection of security configurations for complex information systems is a cumbersome process. Decision-making regarding the choice of security countermeasures has to take into consideration a multitude of, often conflicting, functional and non-functional system goals. Therefore, a structured method to support crucial security decisions during a system’s design that can take account of risk whilst providing feedback on the optimal decisions within specific scenarios would be valuable. Design/methodology/approach Secure Tropos is a well-established security requirements engineering methodology, but it has no concepts of Risk, whilst Constrained Goal Models are an existing method to support relevant automated reasoning tasks. Hence we bridge these methods, by extending Secure Tropos to incorporate the concept of Risk, so that the elicitation and analysis of security requirements can be complimented by a systematic risk assessment process during a system’s design time and supporting the reasoning regarding the selection of optimal security configurations with respect to multiple system objectives and constraints, via constrained goal models. Findings As a means of conceptual evaluation, to give an idea of the applicability of the approach and to check if alterations may be desirable, a case study of its application to an e-government information system is presented. The proposed approach is able to generate security mechanism configurations for multiple optimisation scenarios that are provided, whilst there are limitations in terms of a natural trade-off of information levels of risk assessment that are required to be elicited. Originality/value The proposed approach adds additional value via its flexibility in permitting the consideration of different optimisation scenarios by prioritising different system goals and the automated reasoning support.

The selection of the best lecturers gives recognition to lecturers who carry out tridharma higher education activities, whose results can be proud of and are useful for advancing academic and institutional quality. Educational institutions, especially the Ganesha Medan Polytechnic, annually select the best lecturers by conducting assessments by distributing questionnaires to their students. However, the assessment process is still done manually, so it takes a long time to process the data. In addition, the assessment is still not relevant to the actual situation because it only uses one assessment criterion, namely a student assessment questionnaire. Based on this, in this study, a decision support system design was used to select the best lecturers at the Ganesha Medan Polytechnic. Decision support systems built on a web basis using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The decision making method used is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. This method is used to perform the best alternative ranking process from a number of alternatives.
