This article evaluates a sustained monologue speaking production test to validate its link to the CEFR model. The monologue test is a low-stakes production test that engages the test taker in sustained monologue tasks targeted at B2-C1 of the CEFR levels. The evaluation of the test included determining the extent to which the monologue speaking tasks and the single assessment criterion-related rating scale developed for the test are valid and reliably aligned to CEFR benchmarked descriptors. The socio-cognitive framework for test evaluation was adopted, and an explanatory sequential mixed-methods research design was implemented. The evaluation revealed some contentious points of contrast between the test items and the language demand that each item prompted in production. Consequently, selected items were improved or deleted to ensure the appropriate competency levelled at B2-C1 are correctly prompted. Additionally, the findings underlined the imperative need for test developers to adhere to five inter-related sets of procedures in the justification of a claim that the monologue speaking test is aligned to the CEFR. These include familiarisation, specification, standardisation and benchmarking, standard-setting, and validation. It emerged that thorough familiarity with the CEFR by test item writers and examiners is a fundamental requirement for a test closely related to CEFR construct and levels. Thus, familiarisation training of CEFR and its illustrative descriptors is a mandatory prerequisite for ensuring test items and assessment of the elicited production correspond to the levels and ratings described in the CEFR model.

Abstract In the assessment of the tool wear state for the spiral edge of milling cutter based on machine vision, the traditional assessment criterion is often inaccurate due to the problem of information missing or incomplete especially near the tip area. In order to deal with this problem, different lighting-condition setting and additional non-image information compensation techniques are needed . In view of this, an integration tool wear detection method combined line laser edge detection and machine vision is proposed. Subsequently, the combined data acquirement experimental system is designed and built, which can simultaneously acquires two types of parameters: diameter and images under the same detection condition. Then, based on the above information, a multi-dimension series assessment criterion is proposed consisting of three dimensions index: The one-dimensional assessment index gives the average wear value of the spiral side, which mainly used as data ordination and characterizes the rule of tool wear degradation; the two-dimensional assessment index describes the contour of the wear region and calculates the area value, which can predict the change of the tool wear stage more precisely; the three-dimensional assessment index gives the 3D morphology by adding depth information within the wear region and quantified the volume of the worn-off part, which provides clues for early warning of the deterioration caused by the tool worn. Experiments proved that the multi-dimension series assessment criterion is helpful to reflect the trend of tool life and give a more accurate assessment of the tool wear state for the spiral edge of milling cutter.

Ardhi Karya Teknik is a company engaged in construction, painting, cooling engineering and information technology. This company has difficulty in making decisions to buy equipment, especially for goods with a high enough value, because the goods purchased must meet certain criteria and be able to help the company's operations effectively and efficiently. This research was conducted to overcome the above, the method chosen in this study was SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) with the general stages: first entering data, second determining the weighting of each assessment criterion, third determining the best value of each criterion. , fourth calculates the value of the normalization matrix, fifth Calculate the final value for each data input by multiplying the normalized matrix with the weight matrix. The selected data is the data with the largest final value. Another method used in making an application is Waterfall. The SAW method is quite effective in assisting in decision making to purchase company operational support equipment.

Fog is a natural phenomenon that affects scene visibility, it reduces the contrast of the image and causes color-fade. While various works in the literature have addressed this issue, a fast effective model is still lacking. In this paper, a single image fog removal based on Geometric Mean Histogram Equalization (GMHE) is proposed. In particular, the proposed method is composed of three steps. The primary step is to adaptively tune the performance of GMHE according to the properties of the color histogram of the foggy image. The obtained result then enters two levels of chromaticity enhancement using the Hue Saturation Value (HSV) and rotors color transformations, respectively. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed method attains high performance compared to the state-of-the-art methods in terms of quality and execution time. The evaluation is performed qualitatively by visual assessment, and quantitatively using a set of full reference and no-reference-based measures. As well, we suggest an assessment criterion to combine the results of the standard measures in a single score to facilitate the comparisons between the different fog removal methods.

For the time being, moisture effect to the useful quality of coals has been researched comprehensively in detail. Herewith, there are a lot of unsolved problems related to the safety working out of coal layers. Presence of different forms of moisture in fossil coals essentially influences the coal layers hazardous characteristics manifestation during the mining activities. The Article deals with the results of analyses of more than thousand samples of the Donets Basin coals from different deposits, to research the relationship of total moisture and organic matter components in the coal carbonizations during the metamorphic processes. The researches have allowed separation of 3 stages for the fossil coal conversions. It is noted that at the initial stage, the carbon content is about 80%, moisture proportion in carbonization is rather high—0.36; but it decreases abruptly down to 0.12, in case of the carbon content increasing up to 86.5%. And the proportion of components (hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulphur) total increases essentially up to 0.88. At the next stage, at 86.5÷91.5%, the components proportion in carbonization changes insignificantly. At the final stage of coal metamorphic conversions, 4-time growth of moisture proportion takes place in carbonization. It is found that moisture proportion in any form to be found in the coals shall be considered as a rank index, which is necessary to determine the coal layers hazardous characteristics.

Design standards of preventing “plastic collapse” and “excessive overall plastic deformation” for pressure vessels are given in the ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 2 and EN 13445, respectively. These two aspects are both taken into account in the dual criterion, which could avoid the two failure modes at the same time. And the dual criterion has been adopted as Appendix B in the forthcoming revised version of Chinese JB-4732-1995 “Steel Pressure Vessel-Analysis and Design Code”. In order to realize engineering application for the dual criterion, two feasible schemes to determine quasi-limit load is proposed in this paper, and the APDL (ANSYS Parametric Design Language) is used for the programming. A dual assessment criterion module is embedded in ANSYS finite element software. On this basis, a design example of the dual assessment criterion program is analyzed. The ANSYS dual criterion assessment module is used to conduct the assessment of different material models, different quasi-limit load determination methods and different levels of design loads. The results show that the dual assessment criterion module is effective for engineering practice.

The selection of the best lecturers gives recognition to lecturers who carry out tridharma higher education activities, whose results can be proud of and are useful for advancing academic and institutional quality. Educational institutions, especially the Ganesha Medan Polytechnic, annually select the best lecturers by conducting assessments by distributing questionnaires to their students. However, the assessment process is still done manually, so it takes a long time to process the data. In addition, the assessment is still not relevant to the actual situation because it only uses one assessment criterion, namely a student assessment questionnaire. Based on this, in this study, a decision support system design was used to select the best lecturers at the Ganesha Medan Polytechnic. Decision support systems built on a web basis using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The decision making method used is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. This method is used to perform the best alternative ranking process from a number of alternatives.

The complex of technical means for optimization synthesis of assembling of a packing machine of separate functional modules has been developed. The method of synthesis of a packing machine, based on criterial assessment of separate functional modules (FM), combined by two main assessment groups, has been offered. FM may be selected and calculated by the program of consumption, based on the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) criterion. An example of synthesis, based on the offered method, takes into account variants of choice of ready functional modules, based on the hierarchic structure of a module of roll packing material supply. The method takes into account the systemic approach to analysis of equipment constructions for packing fine-piece and piece food products in a consumption package. The synthesis of FM assembling as conceptual models, abstract ones, reflecting the construction structure and connections between separate elements – functional devices (FD) – has been offered. The optimal assembling of the functional device in the structure of the functional module of roll packing material supply has been determined. As a result of solving this problem, a FM1 prototype has been created. At conducting the comparative analysis with the existent equipment, the automatic functional device has been modeled. The use of the OEE criterion with joint properties that reflects the generalized assessment of a packing machine or functional module with a maximin (minimax) criterion by the compromise principle has been substantiated. The analysis is grounded on the idea of optimality of each module or device of the machine for packing food products at adding each next functional module to its composition. The program of assessment calculation of the package equipment with the complex assessment criterion OEE for different assembling of FMi machines for packing piece and fine-piece products has been developed. The FM of roll film material supply with using a microprocessor managing device that maintains a sinusoidal law of movement of a stretching roll of the packing machine has been developed. Optimal characteristics of the technical system have been determined. Results, obtained at processing experimental data, confirm adequacy of the offered method for assessing assembling solutions
