College Management system is Salesforce CRM based application which is the new technical way to manage all department related jobs. Collage management system is helpful for students as well as the colleges. In the existing system all the activities are done manually. It is very costly and time consuming. In our proposed system, students can view results using phones. The data will be stored in the Salesforce. The Admin, Faculty or the student should be a register user. The faculty can login into their college account through the application itself and update the academic result like internal exam marks obtained by the students. In this system students have easy access for viewing the marks; the application will check user authentications. Students are not permitted to manipulate any data. The proposed work has two modules: A. Student B. Teacher C. Admin. In the student’s module, students need to register their university registration number, college registration number, student name. Admin module maintains the student’s marks of internal college exams. Other than this the advanced features are: In case of natural calamities such as floods, etc. notification to students will be sent from admin office through application directly. Any new notice for a particular semester will be uploaded by professor through application notifying to respective semester students. The students can download different subject notes according to their departments. The faculty of particular department is responsible for updating the assignments, updating the attendance of every student, updating the notification related to department.

The developed Record Management System for Guidance and Counseling Center of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology aimed to provide software application that will manage the recordof student and provides fast and easy access of personal information of students. The functions focused in adding and updating students’ information/profile by using the application. The user can produce a printed copy of the record of student. The development of the Record Management System underwent the phases for System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as: Stage 1 –Planning; Stage 2 –Analysis; Stage 3 –Design; Stage 4 –Coding; Stage 5 –Testing; Stage 6-Implementation; and Stage 7 –Maintenance. The system took three months to be developed was accomplished using Visual Basic 2017 programming language and Microsoft SQl Server 2017 database. Record Management Systemhas been strongly accepted by the respondents based on their assessment on these five criteria: functionality, usability, efficiency, portability, and security. The suggestions given by the group of respondents may be considered for future enhancement of the system.

Open educational resources just supply potentials to help equalize the access to worldwide knowledge and education, but themselves alone do not cause effective learning or education. How to make effective use of the resources is still a big challenge. In this study, a technical mode is proposed to collect the open educational resources from different sources on the Internet into a campus-network-based resource management system. The system facilitates free and easy access to the resources for instructors and students in universities and integrates the resources into learning and teaching. The technical issues regarding the design the resource management system are examined, including the structure and functions of the system, metadata standard compatibility and scalability, metadata file format, and resource utilization assessment. Furthermore, the resource collecting, storage and utilization modes are also discussed so as to lay a technical basis for extensive and efficient sharing and utilization of the OER in Chinese universities.

Taxi as a means of transportation has been emerging as a handy option for people of any age for any occasion if they need to travel. Thus, this study aims to analyze challenges on taxi management in Kathmandu valley, Nepal, from the perspective of taxi drivers. A descriptive method is applied in the survey, and qualitative analysis is made among 386 taxi drivers of Kathmandu valley. The study's findings revealed that 77% of taxi drivers face challenges in the valley. Significant challenges arise from increasing private vehicles and easy access to public transportation, emergence of online vehicle service providers, government rules and regulations, and parking difficulties. Therefore, the study concludes that policymakers and responsible authorities should consider the strategy to improvise the overall taxi management system in the valley. This study can be useful to concerned authorities in taxi management services to make strategies for the betterment and to mitigate the challenges in the field. If the taxi management system got effective, that would be encouragement for other vehicle management.

This article describes in detail the “IMAS-Fish” web-based tool implementation technicalities and provides examples on how can it be used for scientific and management purposes setting new standards in fishery science. “IMAS-Fish” was developed to support the assessment of marine biological resources by: (i) homogenizing all the available datasets under a relational database, (ii) facilitating quality control and data entry, (iii) offering easy access to raw data, (iv) providing processed results through a series of classical and advanced fishery statistics algorithms, and (v) visualizing the results on maps using GIS  technology. Available datasets cover among others: Fishery independent experimental surveys data (locations, species, catch compositions, biological data); Commercial fishing activities (fishing gear, locations, catch compositions, discards); Market sampling data (species, biometry, maturity, ageing); Satellite derived ocean data (Sea surface temperature, Salinity, Wind speed, Chlorophyll-a concentrations, Photosynthetically active radiation); Oceanographic parameters (CTD measurements); Official national fishery statistics; Fishing fleet registry and VMS  data; Fishing ports inventory; Fishing legislation archive (national and EU); Bathymetry grids. Currently, the homogenized database holds a total of more than 100,000,000 records. The web-based application is accessible through an internet browser and can serve as a valuable tool for all involved stakeholders: fisheries scientists, state officials responsible for management, fishermen cooperatives, academics, students and NGOs.

BackgroundE-scooters have emerged as a frequently used vehicle in German cities due to their high availability and easy access. However, investigations about the causes and mechanisms of E-scooter incidents and their trauma-specific consequences are rare.MethodsWe analysed all patients involved in E-scooter incidents from June to December 2019 who presented to four inner-city EDs in Berlin. The prospective data included patient-related and incident-related data, information on injury patterns and therapy, responses in a voluntary questionnaire concerning E-scooter use and general traffic experience.Results248 patients (129 males; median age 29 years (5–81)) were included: 41% were tourists and 4% were children. Most incidents (71%) occurred between July and September 2019, the majority occurring at weekends (58%). The injury pattern was mostly multifocal, affecting the lower (42%) and upper limbs (37%) and the head (40%). Traumatic brain injury was associated with alcohol consumption. Inpatient admission was recorded in 25%, surgery in 23%.ConclusionThis study has defined the incidence of injury related to E-scooter use in a major European city. Stricter laws governing the use of E-scooters, the wearing of helmets and technical modifications to the E-scooter platforms might decrease E-scooter-associated incidents and resulting injuries in the future.Trial registration numberGerman Clinical Trials Registry (DRKS00018061).

This study focuses on developing a computer-based information system that helps the Research and Publication Center of the University of Mindanao in managing the institutional research records of the University’s teaching and non-teaching personnel. It explores the software requirements of the Center in order to efficiently store research-related data and to conveniently retrieve pertinent reports that the office needs to provide. It then describes the proposed software named Institutional Research Records Management System or IRREMS. The software provides a systematic way of managing records of institutional researches conducted by both the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the University. It keeps track of researchers’ information, as well as organizes the researches in a way that allows for easy access and retrieval through the use of search keywords. The study presents the requirements specification, software process model, software design, and the software development methodology used to create the technical output, which was successfully deployed in the Center.
