The height of moral decadence of adolescent is a worrying development that may degenerate to uncontrolled situation if not checked. The crime rate and other civic problems in the society cannot be clearly linked to any particular cause, hence, the need to explore the underlying principle behind this horrible fashion. This problem prompts this study on factors with teachers’ implementation of civic education curriculum in secondary schools in Cross River State, Nigeria. The study adopted cross sectional survey design approach. A total number of all the 510 civic education teachers in public Secondary Schools in Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State in 2019/2020 academic session were used for the study. A self-developed 60-item Questionnaire was used for data collection. The data analysis was subjected to Structural Equation Modeling using Analysis of MOment of Structure to generate a path analytical model and data analysis at .05 level of significance. The result revealed that there were significant direct predictive effects between teacher’s supervision, teacher’s knowledge of subject matter and teachers’ attitude and the implementation of civic education curriculum. It was recommended among others that teachers should advance their knowledge by enrolling further in academic programmes as well as engage in in-service training to update their knowledge for a better academic outcome of the students.

This study aims to provide insight to PPKn teachers because it is part of the research on citizenship development studied through the perspective of cosmopolitan values. In this era of globalisation, the Indonesian people are faced with global forces that go hand in hand with cosmopolitanism. The main problem is how much Civic Education (Civics Education) is influenced by cosmopolitan values? The research locations are spread in Cimahi Tengah, Utara, and Selatan totaling 45 schools. The study population totaled 20,702 with a sample of 400 students. The study used the Cross-Sectional Survey method. Retrieval of data through a questionnaire. Data analysts were carried out with Structural Equation Modeling competency tests. The results showed that the impact of cosmopolitan values on Civics learning was significant (with R2 = 0.6971 or 69.71%), indicating the process of harmonizing cosmopolitan values in secondary school students in civics learning. Cosmopolitan values have a higher effect (31.44%) than Civics learning, which shows that the cosmopolitan values studied in Civics affect middle school students in Cimahi even though only 13.42%. Cosmopolitan values are an important factor in developing Civics learning amid the swift currents of globalisation. This has implications for the government to review the Civics curriculum by paying attention to the phenomena that exist in society, namely the strengthening of globalisation and cosmopolitan values that are increasingly widespread in all aspects so that it is feared to have an impact on student behavior into global culture so that there is a shift in the mindset and lifestyle of students in Cimahi City. Thus, through this research, at least PPKn teachers or relevant researchers can minimize the phenomena and the negative impacts arising from globalisation.

Cyberstalking is a growing anti-social problem being transformed on a large scale and in various forms. Cyberstalking detection has become increasingly popular in recent years and has technically been investigated by many researchers. However, cyberstalking victimization, an essential part of cyberstalking, has empirically received less attention from the paper community. This paper attempts to address this gap and develop a model to understand and estimate the prevalence of cyberstalking victimization. The model of this paper is produced using routine activities and lifestyle exposure theories and includes eight hypotheses. The data of this paper is collected from the 757 respondents in Jordanian universities. This review paper utilizes a quantitative approach and uses structural equation modeling for data analysis. The results revealed a modest prevalence range is more dependent on the cyberstalking type. The results also indicated that proximity to motivated offenders, suitable targets, and digital guardians significantly influences cyberstalking victimization. The outcome from moderation hypothesis testing demonstrated that age and residence have a significant effect on cyberstalking victimization. The proposed model is an essential element for assessing cyberstalking victimization among societies, which provides a valuable understanding of the prevalence of cyberstalking victimization. This can assist the researchers and practitioners for future research in the context of cyberstalking victimization.

AbstractStress is concomitant with students’ life and can have a significant impact on their lives, and even how they go about their academic work. Globally, in every five visits by patients to the doctor, three are stress-related problems. This study examined stress and its impact on the academic and social life among students of a university in Ghana. The descriptive cross-sectional survey design was employed. Using the stratified and simple random (random numbers) sampling methods, 500 regular undergraduate students were engaged in the study. A questionnaire made up of Perceived Stress Scale and Students’ Life Satisfaction Scale was used to gather data for the study. Frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviation, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), with AMOS were used for the analyses. It was found that majority of the students were moderately stressed. Paramount among the stressors were academic stressors, followed by institutional stressors, and external stressors. Stress had a significant positive impact on the academic and social life of students. It was concluded that undergraduate students, in one way or the other, go through some kind of stress during the course of their study. It was recommended that the university, through its Students’ Affairs, and Counselling Sections, continue to empower students on how to manage and deal with stress in order to enhance their academic life.
