In certain situations, conflicts in the organization are not only possible, but also desirable. Their role depends on how effectively they are managed. Managers, as subjects of conflict management, must determine the strategic line of behavior and program of action, as well as the tactics of influencing this complex object of management. This requires making effective management decisions, checking the results of their practical implementation, adjusting if necessary, promptly obtaining information about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of the measures taken in order to find the optimal option for overcoming (resolving) the conflict.

The purpose of writing the article is to determine the conceptual foundations of household management, the practical implementation of which will help increase their role and importance in the socio-economic development of the state and society. The main indicators, that characterize the state and development of households, were reviewed and analyzed in the article. The definition of economic activity of a household is given, in the context of which the economic functions it performs are analyzed. It is established that the economic activity of the household is realized through the functions of production, consumption, savings and investment. The main components of economic activity are studied, the understanding of which will ensure the adoption of effective management decisions by households. The main components include legal, production, marketing, commercial, financial, infrastructure and investment activities. External and internal factors, influencing the activity of the household, are established. External factors include conditions that do not depend or weakly depend on the actions and decisions of households. Internal factors are divided into macroeconomic (household size, turnover of household funds, the degree of their depreciation and the potential for renewal) and microeconomic (level of education, age, number of household members, level of employment and efficiency). The conceptual bases of household activity management are defined: the purpose, tasks, principles and functions. It is indicated that the purpose of household management determining the future state of the household is aimed . The principles of management include: purposefulness, consideration of needs and interests, dynamic balance, efficiency, activation, interdependence. The functions of household management, which include planning, organization, motivation, analysis and control, are defined. It is established that the relationship of all elements of the conceptual framework in their use in practice, taking into account the rules of state regulation will ensure effective management decisions that will increase household income and, consequently, their well-being.

Studies of the response to nuclear emergencies with the release of gaseous and dispersed radioactive substances into the atmosphere allowed us to develop a procedure for the practical implementation of this method. The emergency response method is aimed at depositing hazardous radioactive substances from the atmosphere that enter the atmosphere during man-made accidents at nuclear power plants and other facilities for the storage and processing of radioactive materials. The developed procedure with the proposed algorithm of actions operates within the framework of a unified state system of civil protection. The presented procedure allows solving three main tasks on the elimination of emergency consequences: monitoring of the affected area, taking effective management decisions and direct influence on the affected area. The basis for making effective management decisions is to predict the dynamics of radioactively contaminated areas, predict the intensity of precipitation with various methods of artificial deposition and predict the effectiveness of deposition effects on the dynamics of changes in contaminated areas. In order to expand the capabilities of available methods for predicting contaminated areas, their modification has been proposed taking into account deposition features. The use of this procedure allows minimizing the scale of major emergencies at regional and state levels. Due to the use of artificial deposition methods, as provided for in the procedure, there is the possibility of depositing dangerous radioactive substances from the atmosphere from a height of several kilometers, which cannot be implemented by other known methods. The developed algorithm of actions and the procedure for implementing the emergency response method by artificially initiated deposition are the basis for the development of a procedure for practical emergency rescue units during emergency response at regional and state levels. Thus, there is a reason to believe that the use of the proposed procedure will improve the efficiency of response to man-made emergency with the release of hazardous radioactive substances to the atmosphere.

The essence of effective management of each business entity depends primarily on transparency and disclosure of information about its financial and economic activities. The financial report itself covers all important information about the state of the enterprise and provides an opportunity to obtain financial status with it by the interested user for further analysis and decision-making on further activities. As a rule, investors of creditors, state bodies, representatives who are preparing in construction with the business entity are interested in financial reporting. In order to provide more detailed and informative financial reporting to users, it is necessary to compile it with international standards, which act as tools for globalization of the economy and contribute to the development of global economic relations. During 2020–2021, the activities of enterprises took place in extremely difficult conditions, which is why the pandemic significantly affected the financial reporting indicators. Today, there is an appropriate use of intelligent technology and computer technology in the formation of financial statements. Financial statements based on taxonomies of financial statements for IFRS are prepared and presented in a single electronic format using Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). XBRL is a generally accepted international standard for presenting financial statements in accordance with IFRS in electronic form. With the help of IFRS, Ukrainian companies have more effectively solved the following tasks: attracting investments and loans from the world's largest companies and banks, the ability to service financing from foreign banks and other organizations; placement of shares on international stock exchanges; providing the company's management with reliable information for making management decisions, as well as evaluating their adoption. Thus, today the economy of Ukraine depends on the choice of IFRS as a conceptual basis for accounting and its practical implementation. After all, the financial statements are fully open to internal and external users to make informed management decisions regarding cooperation with the relevant entity.

The article substantiates the theoretical and methodological principles of forming a methodological platform for diagnosing the economic activity of a trading enterprise as a basis for implementing a diagnostic process focused on the formation of special information used for making management decisions. It is noted that the diagnostics of economic activity of a trade enterprise as a component of management is a set of actions aimed at providing information support to management that requires from management staff systemic theoretical knowledge and applied skills of instrumental methods of identifying economic activity, trends, assessing causes of change, forecasting and the practical implementation of the identified opportunities to increase it, taking into account changes in the business environment and the needs of stakeholders. It is proved that the efficiency of diagnostics of economic activity is ensured by the appropriate methodology, which normalizes the organization of the diagnostic process, procedures and operations into a holistic system with clearly defined prerequisites, component composition and process of their implementation. The methodology framework is determined and the problem tree analysis of the formation of the methodological platform for diagnosing economic activity of trade enterprises is carried out. The architectural structure of the system of diagnosing economic activity of a trade enterprise through a combination of functional and support components, which are defining for productive functioning of the mechanism and efficiency of the diagnostic process, is considered. The sequence of stages of the diagnostic process and procedural aspects of verification of each of them is determined. It is proved that the efficiency of the process of diagnostics of economic activity is provided by an appropriate mechanism, which through a set of rules, special tools, methods and techniques launches and maintains a diagnostic study, thus ensuring the integrity of the diagnostic system. A conceptual model of the methodological platform for diagnosing economic activity of trade enterprises is developed, which integrates the identified preconditions and component composition of the methodology on the basis of systematicity and ensures the effectiveness of the process of obtaining information for management. The developed model allows to deepen and expand understanding of the essence of the system for diagnosing economic activity of the enterprise, its structure, regularities, the purposes and tasks of functioning, to provide high-quality instrumental support of the realization of diagnostic procedures and operations, to streamline the process of reception of the information for making management decisions focused on achieving target parameters of development of economic activity taking into account the dynamic changes in the business environment and consumer preferences.

Purpose of research. This paper is a description of the methodology for regional socio-economic system management based on the principles and concepts of management theory. Methods. A methodology for regional socio-economic system managing has been developed, taking into account the impact of National projects and the influence of the external environment. The methodology consists of six stages and fourteen techniques that allow describing the regional socio-economic system management in terms and tools of the management theory: the region itself is considered as an object of management experiencing a controlling action formed under some affecting influence. The methodology also assumes the formalization of a negative feedback system and a control system in the developed model of regional socio-economic system management. Results. The methodology of managing the regional socio-economic system can be used in the management process. Those who make management decisions at the regional level usually rely on their own professional skills, past experience, and intuition. However, the heuristic approach to regional management can be extended by the capabilities of the developed methodology, the practical implementation of which can be presented as a decision support system. This will allow regional governments to improve the effectiveness of management decisions based on monitoring the state of socio-economic systems. Conclusion. The methodology for managing the regional socio-economic system provides a complete management cycle: from the formalization of basic concepts to the description of the control and feedback system. The information implementation of the methodology is presented in the form of an automated product – a decision support system - that can be used in the formation of an automated workplace for civil servants.

ABSTRACT Successful oil spill response requires effectively managing the level of effort devoted to response operations. This includes choosing appropriate technologies and implementing them to achieve optimal environmental benefit, while controlling costs. At the end of the response, effective management requires resolving the “how clean is clean” issue to ensure a smooth termination of the response effort. Various approaches to making these management decisions are reviewed, based on experience in the Exxon Valdez, American Trader, and Morris J. Berman spills. The advantages and constraints of these approaches are summarized, along with suggestions about how the process might be facilitated.

The paper hypothesizes that the dynamic digitalization of the economy, based on the benefits of using Big data, accelerates the use in management and production processes of technologies offered by this market. However, it is noted that the acquisitions of the Big data market also exacerbate the socio- economic contradictions between countries with developed market economies and institutionally underdeveloped countries, which include Ukraine. The authors of the study proposed to identify the Big data market with such key indicators as total revenue, number of Internet users, losses of Big Data market participants from data leakage. Thus, the high rates of development of the Big data market in terms of growth of total market income in 8,03 times during 2011 — 2020 were witnessed. The main segments of the Big Data market (service segment, software segment and service segment) were identified. It is established that the largest share of the Big Data market is occupied by the services segment (37,5% in 2020). From 2021, the growth rate of the software segment is expected to exceed other segments of this market — hardware and services. The results of the analysis of the Big Data market by M. Porter’s five forces model show that the most important of the competitive forces in the market is a high level of competition, in which market participants are encouraged to focus on potential needs and expectations of their customers to strengthen bases of differentiation and clear positioning of the services. According to the results of the SWOT-analysis of the Big Data market, the following strengths were identified: business expansion due to the increase in the amount of information it owns; increasing the number of customer reviews through social networks; establishing strategic partnerships with suppliers, dealers and other stakeholders through the use of Big Data; permanent training of employees to maintain the competitiveness of organizations; established IT system of the enterprise, which promotes faster adoption of effective management decisions; high incomes due to effective management decisions, possession of market research results through Big Data technologies. The identified market opportunities are: population growth, which means an increase in the number of potential consumers and the amount of data collected; growth in the number of enterprises that implement e-commerce in their activities; growth of active consumers due to the integration of Big Data into social networks; increasing the share of automated processes, which helps reduce costs; growing popularity of IT specialization in universities; globalization of the economy, which allows companies to expand their activities to other countries. On the basis of identified strengths of the market and its capabilities, the following strategic directions of development are proposed: entry of enterprises into new markets due to market globalization and effective implementation of Big Data technologies; use of social networks to collect consumer data and involve them in Big Data processes; improvement of the e-commerce system of enterprises due to the capabilities of well-established IT systems of the enterprise with the capabilities of Big Data; reduction of product prices due to cost optimization and effective interaction with contractors. The results of the research allowed to identify the following main risks of the industry: destruction of data confidentiality; collection of false data, infringement of intellectual property of a third party, etc. The formed risk matrix indicates that the most significant risks of this market are the reduction of information security of the entity due to hacker attacks (probability of 50%, significant damage) and the destruction of data confidentiality (probability of 25%, significant damage). Qualitative interpretation of risks in the Big Data market allowed to characterize the impact of adverse factors of internal and external environments, namely: insufficient unreliability of cloud storage for data storage; high level of distrust of data carriers to companies using Big Data; high staff turnover in the market, etc. Assessing the risk of data loss due to hacker attacks allowed to identify it as a risk of a high level of importance (6 p.). Based on the obtained result, it is concluded that the activities of Big Data market participants are vulnerable to possible hacker intrusions and require more effective measures to ensure reliable data protection of enterprises and their customers.

Peer mediation is a process whereby students learn how to manage conflict for themselves. Peer mediation theory recognises that some conflict in young people’s lives can be resolved with the help of other students and so provides the tools of conflict resolution without imposing solutions. Implemented correctly, peer mediation can promote positive influences on school cultures, improve learning environments and enhance student development. This article aims to provide an overview of the practical implementation aspects involved in setting up a peer mediation programme. It will outline some theoretical concepts of peer mediation, describe the curricular context in Ireland through which programmes can be integrated and the types of programme suited to primary and secondary schools. It will also make some key recommendations for future research and the development of peer mediation in Ireland.
