The aim is to study the effect of the presence of free alkalis and acids on the properties of the complex lithium greases and the choice of the optimal dispersion medium, which provides the required physicochemical characteristics of the developed grease. The dispersed phase of lithium greases studied in the polyalphaolefin oils media. It was found that the use of a mixture of polyalphaolefin oil-4 and polyalphaolefin oil-40 as a percentage of 23/77 with a total content of 83.0% provides a relatively low effective viscosity of the lubricant at low temperatures and a relatively high tensile strength at high temperature.

Basalt filament yarn is a new type of high-performance fibers, which is formed by the direct drawing of basalt rock at high temperatures. It is a natural and environmentally friendly textile material. This paper mainly focuses on thermal resistance research of basalt filament yarn that is heated at various temperatures. The change of color and appearance of heated basalt filament yarn was described. The mechanical properties of heated basalt filament yarn were tested. The results showed that although the mechanical properties of basalt filament yarn decreased with the temperature rising, still remained high tensile strength within a certain temperature range. Basalt filament yarn possess higher tenacity under 325°C. Basalt filament yarns still possess certain tenacity when they were placed at 500°C condition. So basalt filament yarn can be used as heat-resistant materials, such as filtration materials for high-temperature gas and liquid, fire-proof fabrics and so on.

Ti3Al based alloy has performed a comprehensive properties of low density, high tensile strength and excellent oxidation resistant at high temperature, which results in a good potential application in aerospace areas. In this paper, technologies relevant to preparation of Ti-23Al-17Nb expansion part for nozzle have been studied, and main properties of the part have been test and evaluated. The result revealed that Ti3Al based alloy prepared by powder metallurgy can replace nickel based alloy to be a candidate materials for high temperature structures.

In this paper, we suggest PCH as a method of joining alloys. The temperature distribution in the samples during the joining process was analyzied. From the temperature distribution profiles in PCH joining, it is concluded that PCH for the joining has two advantages: (1) There is a temperature distribution peak along the sample. The contacting surfaces which need high temperature happen to obtain the highest temperature; (2) The parts to be joined at relatively lower temperatures can avoid the damage of heat attack. The optimal joining conditions were discussed. The PCH and HP techniques were compared for the joining of alloys. It was found that the high tensile strength joined structure of alloys can be fabricated by PCH method at lower joining temperature, shorter holding time, and lower pressure, compared with that by HP method. The PCH process was considered to be an eco-friendly process compared with the traditional heat diffusion joining methods.

Fully dense Ti3SiC2-64vol.%SiC(0.5m) composite materials are successfully fabricated by in situ synthesis under hot isostatic pressing. The high temperature flexure, tension and creep of Ti3SiC2-SiC composites were studied, and the results indicated that the composite had a high tensile strength under high temperature. Above 1000°C the composite were displayed a good high temperature plastic. The creep behavior is characterized by two regimes: an initial transient regime, where έ(dε/dt) decreases with t (time); a secondary creep regime in which έ is more or less constant with time.
