Pelatihan Menulis “Descriptive Text” di Kelurahan Manguharjo Kecamatan Mayangan Kota Probolinggo

This community service was a training in writing descriptive text for junior high school students in Joboan village, Probolinggo city. The method of this community service covered four stages: a) analyzing, b) planning and developing the content, c) implementing and d) training. In analyzing stage, the writer found problems faced by the students in writing descriptive text. In planning and developing the content stage, the writer developed method to write descriptive text by utilizing picture and guided question. With this pandemic situation, in implementing stage, the writer gathered 10 participants by applying health protocol suggested by the Government. Training stage was done for three days, 20-22 of July 2020. In the first day, the writer gave explanation related descriptive text. In the second day, the participants started to practice writing descriptive text by using picture and guided question. Feedback was given in the third day. The results of this training were shown by the presence of all participants three days in a row, they also gave responds and asked questions enthusiastically in the training process. The participants no longer faced difficulty in writing descriptive text since they knew that picture and guided question can help them write descriptive text better. The research is an inventory aimed at identifying and categorizing the character values in the English package books for students of Islamic Junior High School or Madrasah Tsanawiyah by considering their relevance to Islamic character values in the Quran and Hadits. The method used was content analysis following Bogdan and Biklen model by analyzing, grouping, sorting, and synthesizing the values taken from the package books to draw the patterns.  The patterns were discussed to conclude the final findings to be disseminated as the list of inventory.  The main data source was the English package books published by the government and the supporting data were the Core Competencies taken from Curriculum 2013 for Junior High School (SMP) and Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) or Islamic Junior High School students. There are 10 values inserted in the package books that are relevant to the Islamic religious characters. The result showed various English expressions relevant to Islamic character values which have a long-term and sustainable effect as a reference for character building by English teachers in developing English supplementary materials for Islamic Junior High School students.

This study was aimed to investigate the implementation of Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model applied by Christian religious education teachers in improving grade 7 students’ learning creativity at SMP 3 Sipoholon. The participants were 23 junior high school students. Observation sheet was used to collect data. The following data analysis was conducted, namely data reduction, data exposure, and conclusion. The result of study revealed that students’ learning creativity has increased in the first cycle, reached 26.96%. It was applied 64% of the expected and was in the sufficient category. In the second cycle, students’ learning creativity reached 64.35% and had increased 37.39%. it was applied 80% of the expected and was in the strong category. Finally, students’ learning creativity in the third cycle reached 80,87% and had increased 16.52%. It was applied 96% of the expected and was in the stronger category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model can improve the creativity of Christian religious education learning among junior high school students.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Jigsaw oleh Guru PAK Untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas Belajar Siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Sipoholon. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII yang berjumlah 23 siswa, dan objek penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw. Dalam pengambilan data, teknik yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dengan reduksi data, paparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari data hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I kreativitas belajar siswa mencapai 26,96%, pada siklus II kreativitas belajar siswa mencapai 64,35% mengalami peningkatan 37,39%, dan pada siklus III kreativitas belajar siswa mencapai 80,87% mengalami peningkatan sebesar 16,52%. Untuk penerapan model pembelajaran jigsaw yang diterapkan oleh guru PAK mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I diterapkan 64% dari yang diharapkan dan berada pada kategori cukup. Pada siklus II diterapkan 80% dari yang diharapkan dan berada pada kategori kuat. Pada siklus III diterapkan 96% dari yang diharapkan dan berada pada kategori kuat. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw oleh guru PAK dapat meningkatkan kreativitas belajar Pendidikan Agama Kristen di kelas VII SMP Negeri Negeri 3 Sipoholon, Kecamatan Sipoholon T.P 2017/2018 dan mencapai 70-90% dari yang diharapkan.Keywords: Cooperative jigsaw learning model; student learning creativity; students

The government has set 2013 curriculum as learning curriculum to replace previous curriculum in order to improve education in Indonesia. This article is aimed to increase education quality in Arabic learning and to create qualified education in very aspect. This research shows that: 1) the implementation of scientific approach in Arabic learning in MAN Lab UIN Yogyakarta has run well based on the steps of scientific approach i.e. observing, questioning, gathering information or experiment, associating, and communicating. 2) the advantages of implementation of the scientific approach in Arabic learning are: learning activity can be implemented smoothly, the use of various learning media and adequate learning sources help student to learn actively. While the disadvantage of implementation is when this approach is implemented in a class that consists of students from various background inputs especially from SMP (Junior High School) students in which they do not have Arabic basis. So that if the learning centered on students, it can not be run well and the input result will be different.

The purpose of the service to high school/vocational high school, and junior high school students in malagusa Village, Aimas Distric, Sorong Regency is to provide knowledge and understanding to students about waste and plastic waste, types of plastic waste, the solution ecosystem. The method used is a lecture and demonstration method with sxhool students in Kelurahan Malagusa about waste and its handling. The results of the implementation of this community service where students attending Malagusa Village were(1) appreciation of the local government in this case the Malagusa village Government in this case the Malagusa Government regarding the seminar activities carried out (2) the high motivation of the community service seminar participant coming from Vocational, high school and junior high school students the whole village of Malagusa with liveliness asking questions at the discussion session guided by the activity organizing committee. (3) Increaasing students’ understanding, knowledge and ability in understanding about waste and increasing waste for the environment.

In 2017, the government announced the course of study guidelines. It showed the necessary qualification and ability for junior high school students and guidance on junior high school technology education. Because new content is included there, training of incoming teachers at junior high school is required. This paper proposes a training curriculum on measurement and control of junior high school technology. This training was practiced for junior high school teachers in Ehime. These members showed high evaluation. This training will enhance educational practice for junior high school students.

Japan’s national education policy puts importance on children learning to program. In fact, course guidelines published by the government in 2008 made the programming of the measurement and control compulsory in junior high schools, and learning programming will be made compulsory in elementary schools in 2020. This research studies robotics classes for elementary and junior high school students. The tasks set for the robots used in each class are familiar to children, and they were set with the aim of inspiring a proactive learning attitude in the children. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of robots in teaching programming to children.

<p>The aims of this research are:(1) to find out whether the multiple-choice items of English summative test for the third grade junior high school students in Surakarta have fulfilled the criteria of good test or not; and (2)To describe whether the multiple-choice items of English summative test for the third grade junior high school students in Surakarta have fulfilled the criteria of good test item viewed from difficulty level, discrimination power, and distractor evaluation or not. The data were taken from 100 students‟ answer sheets in five schools in Surakarta. The test item was analyzed by using item analysis technique seen from the score and the language content analysis. The analysis was considered by using three aspects i.e. index of discriminating power, level of difficulty and the distractor evaluation. The research finding shows that (1) the difficulty level shows 13% for very difficult item, 22% for very easy item, and 64% for satisfactory item; (2) only 35% of all test items have appropriate index of discriminating power; and (3) only 49% of the distractors are effective since they were selected by the students. Based on the three criteria of a good test item above, there are only 46% of multiple choice items fulfilling the criteria of a good test items.</p>

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan (1) Pengetahuan siswa SMP tentang cara perawatan wajah yang tepat sesuai jenis kulit wajah dan perawatan kulit kepala, (2) Kemampuan siswa dalam pengaplikasikan perawatan wajah dan rambut sesuai dengan kondisi kulit dan kulit kepala masing-masing siswa, (3) kebermanfaatan dan kepuasan peserta melalui pelatihan. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, demostrasi dan praktek. Hasil kegiatan (1) terselenggaranya  kegiatan pelatihan sebagai bentuk pengetahuan penampilan diri yang tepat untuk usia pubertas; (2) Para peserta dapat mengaplikasikan keterampilan tersebut dirumah agar menambah rasa percaya dirinya dalam sebuah pergaulan baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun masyarakat maupan sekolah. (3) Evaluasi terhadap  pelaksanaan kegiatan  dapat dilihat pada respon peserta terhadap tingkat kebermanfaatan  kegiatan pelatihan menunjukan  kegiatan pelatihan bermanfaat dengan rerata skor 3,42 dan respon peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan adalah puas dengan rerata 3,47. Kepuasan peserta terlihat pada setiap aspek, yaitu aspek penyamapaian materi, aspek materi, aspek fasilitas yang diperoleh, dan aspek hasil yang diperoleh. AbstractThe community service aim to improve (1) Knowledge of junior high school students about facial care according to the type of facial skin and scalp care, (2) Students ability to apply facial and hair care according to the skin and scalp conditions of each student, (3) participants usefulness and satisfaction through training. The method this training are lectures, demonstrations and practices. The results of the activity (1) implementation of training as a form of knowledge of proper appearance for the age of puberty; (2) Participants can apply these skills at home in order to increase their confidence in an association both in the school and the community; (3) Evaluation of the implementation of activities can be seen in the responses of participants to the level of usefulness of the training activities showing that the training activities are beneficial with a mean score of 3.42 and the participants' responses to training activities are satisfied with the average of 3.47. Participant satisfaction is seen in every aspect, namely the aspect of material achievement, material aspects, aspects of facilities obtained, and aspects of the results obtained.

<p align="center"><strong>Abstrak</strong><strong> </strong></p><p><em>Masalah yang dihadapi oleh Panti Asuhan Harapan Remaja adalah kurangnya motivasi dan inspirasi anak asuh siswa SMP untuk belajar bahasa asing. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah menumbuhkan motivasi dan inspirasi belajar bahasa asing untuk belajar bahasa asing.</em><em> Salah satu cara untuk menunbuhkan motivasi dan isnpirasi belajar bahasa asing adalah dengan dilakukannya pengenalan bahasa asing dengan konteks yang dekat dengan keseharian anak asuh/siswa. Untuk itu telah diadakan program penumbuhan motivasi dan inspirasi berbahasa asing terutama bahasa Jepang dan Inggris masing-masing selama 2 kali. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah munculnya ketertarikan siswa terhadap bahasa asing dan ketertarikan untuk belajar bahasa asing terutama bahasa Inggris dan Jepang. Selain itu terlihat juga peningkatan motivasi belajar bahasa asing selain pelajaran sekolah. Akan tetapi tidak ada peningkatan ketertarikan untuk berinteraksi dengan orang asing. This orphanage has a problem dealing with foster children’s motivation in learning foreign languages. The result of this activity is the emergence of an interest in foreign languages and learning those languages, especially English and Japanese. After the activities, the result shows that the learners’ motivation is still low. However, the activities related to foreign languages increased the participants’ interests to learn foreign languages, in this context, Japanese and English.
