An integrated approach was used to analyse the quality of a Miocene reservoir in the Moesian Platform, Romania. While this paper goes through all the main components of an integrated study (seismic, petrophysics, reservoir engineering), the main focus was on well data. This research focused on modelling the structure using mainly well data. The reservoir is associated with an alluvial cone structure and a canal system NNW-SSE, with the lithological traps in the southern part [1]. The reservoir pressure and the behaviour during production indicates a gas expansion is the main displacement mechanism, alongside a low influx of water. The results of this paper show that the performance of the reservoir is influenced not only by the available energy (the elastic gas expansion and a low influx of water), but also by the spatial distribution of different facies in relation to the well locations. Gas production started in 1962 and continues to this day. However, the Miocene reservoir was chosen for gas storage (UGS-Underground Gas Storage) due to its relatively large thickness, good porosity and large surface area [2]. The purpose of a reservoir characterisation is to incorporate existing data from petrophysics, geophysics, geological and reservoir engineering, so that the results obtained by the multidisciplinary team can be used to create a reservoir model which will improve economic results.

In summary, a resilient urban food system requires that healthy and sustainable food items are produced, that consumers can attain them and that they actually wish to purchase them.ConclusionsThis capstone paper found that the interconnected nature of the different sectors in the food system means that to improve environmental sustainability, equity and population health outcomes, action should focus on the system as a whole and not just on any one sector.

Abstract Often, the production of oil and gas from underground reservoirs is accompanied by produced water which generally increases with time for a matured field, attributable to natural water encroachment, bottom water ingress, coning effect due to higher production rates, channeling effects, etc. This trend poses a production challenge with respect to increased OPEX cost and environmental considerations of treatment/handling and disposal of the produced water considering the late life performance characterized by low reward margins. Hence, produced water management solutions that reduce OPEX cost is key to extending the field life whilst ensuring a positive cash flow for the asset. SK field is located in the Swamp Area of the Niger Delta, with a capacity of 1.1Bcf gas plant supplying gas to a nearby LNG plant. Oil and gas production from the field is evacuated via the liquid and gas trunk lines respectively. Due to the incessant tampering with oil delivery lines and environmental impact of spillage, the condensate is spiked through the gas trunk line to the LNG plant. Largely, the water/effluent contained in the tank is evacuated through the liquid line. Based on the availability of the liquid line (ca. 40%-60%), the produced water is a constraint to gas production with estimated tank endurance time (ca. 8 days at 500MMscfd). This leads to creaming of gas production and indeed gas deferments due to produced water management, making it difficult to meet the contractual supply obligation to the LNG plant. An interim solution adopted was to barge the produced water to the oil and gas export terminal, with an associated OPEX cost of ca. US$2Mln/month. Upon further review of an alternate barging option, this option was considered too expensive, inefficient and unsustainable with inherent HSSE exposure. Therefore, a produced water re-injection project was scoped and executed as a viable alternative to produced water management. This option was supported by the Regulators as a preferred option for produced water management for the industry.

حاولت الدراسة، استكناه حقيقة مصطلح (objective correlative) المعادل الموضوعي، ورصد ترجماته المختلفة إلى اللغة العربية، حسب تسلسلها الزمني، وتتبع الاختلافات والائتلافات في هذه الترجمات، وتعليل أسباب هذا وذلك، وبيان إشكالات الترجمة في فهم معنى المصطلح ودلالاته. ومن ثم شرعت الدراسة في كشف طبيعة هذا المصطلح، ومفهومه ومكوناته الأساسية، وجوهره القائم على إيجاد معادلات موضوعية حسية لمكنونات عالم الشاعر الداخلي المجرد، ومحاولة تجسيد هذا العالم المجرد عبر صور وأشكال فنية حسية قابلة للمعاينة، وفي الآن نفسه قادرة على إثارة حالة شعورية في المتلقي تشبه إلى حدٍ كبيرٍ تلك الحالة التي يعانيها الشاعر نفسه. وقد اتكأت الدراسة على معطيات المنهج التكاملي، واستعانت بكثير من وسائله، وآلياته في الوصف والتحليل في مقاربتها لموضوع الدراسة، استجابةً لطبيعة الموضوع نفسه الذي تمتدّ أوصاله وشرايينه في سراديب مسائل عدة؛ فمنها ما يتصل بلغة (المصدر) اللغة الأجنبية، وإشكالات الترجمة. ومنها ما يتصل بلغة (الهدف) اللغة العربية، وقضايا الترادف والمشترك اللفظي، وقضية الاختيار. ومنها ما يتصل في الجانب التطبيقي لبعض النصوص الذي تضمنتها الدراسة، وما يستدعيه النص الشعري من نظرة تكاملية شمولية. وخلصت الدراسة إلى نتائج عدّة منها: أن مفهوم هذا المصطلح يتبأّر حول إيجاد معادلات حسية خارجية لحالات الشعور الداخلية للشاعر، وأن الممارسات العملية المختلفة لمعطيات المعادل الموضوعي، تتمحور حول استقطاب أدوات فنية وأسلوبية قادرة على التعبير والتشكيل والتصوير في آنٍ واحدٍ، وما إلى ذلك من استعمالات اللغة، استعمالًا خاصًا قادرًا على تجسيد المجرد الداخلي للشاعر، عبر صور حسّية تبوح بعواطف الشاعر وأفكاره، وترسم لها صورةً مشابهةً في وعي القارئ. This study tries to find out what is meant by the expression "objective correlative" and to follow its different translations into Arabic according to its chronology. It also tries to show similarities and differences in those translations by giving reasons for each of them، and the obstacles that face readers to understand the meaning and semantics of the expression. Then، the study proceeds to discover the nature، the conception، and the main components of this expression، and its main aim to find out objective and sensitive correlative for the hidden feelings of the poet’s world through art and sensory images and forms that are reviewable and which are able to stimulate an emotional state for the receiver which is similar to that of the poet himself. The study depends on the data taken from the integrated approach and borrows many of its means and procedures to describe and analyze the data in this study in response to the nature of the subject whose components stretch to contain matters. Some relate to the source language (English) and obstacles in translation، others relate to the target language (Arabic) and the issues of tandem، verb al joint،echoic and its effect on translating the expression. Some relate to the practical aspects of some texts which were included in the study and the integrated and comprehensive view needed for poetry. This study comes to some conclusions، such as: The expression "objective correlative" focuses on the external sensitive correlative of the inner feeling of the poet. The different practical experiences are polarizing on constructive and stylistic forms that are able to express forms، and give images at the same time. The uses of language for certain propose are able to represent the inner abstract feeling of the poet through sensitive images that reveal the poet’s feelings and thoughts and to draw a similar image in the reader's awareness.

The Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, situated in the north-east Brazilian margin, has a long tradition of oil and gas production and the presence and distribution of evaporites play an important role in petroleum systems in the basin. However, little research has focused on the structural evolution of the older, synrift evaporitic sections of the basin. We have focused explicitly in the detailed subsurface structural characterization of the rift in the Alagoas subbasin and the distribution of the Early Aptian evaporites. To accomplish this objective, we interpreted selected 2D and 3D seismic and well data located in two areas known as the Varela Low (VL) and Fazenda Guindaste Low (FGL). We identified diverse deformation styles in those two basin depocenters. Our interpretation indicates that VL consists of a half-graben with a significant rollover structure, controlled by two listric northeast–southwest border faults. The deformation in the hanging wall is also accommodated by release faults and minor antithetic faults. In this depocenter, we mapped in the seismic and the well data an older evaporitic sequence within the Coqueiro Seco Fm., known as Horizonte Salt. This evaporitic section occurs in the internal part of the VL half graben, where it is limited by release and antithetic faults. Significant salt strata growing toward the antithetic fault is observed. Whereas, the FGL represents a graben elongated along the north-east direction and is controlled by several types of structures. We recognized normal synthetic and antithetic faults, transfer zones, release faults, and rollover anticlines in the seismic throughout this depocenter. We mapped an evaporitic section within the Maceió Fm., known as Paripueira Salt, which consists of disconnected salt bodies, restricted to the hanging walls of synrift faults.

Summary In ultralow-permeability reservoirs, communication between wells through connected fractures can be observed through tracer and pressure-interference tests. Understanding the connectivity between fractured horizontal wells in a multiwell pad is important for infill well drilling and parent-child well interactions. Interwell tracer and pressure-interference tests involve two or more fractured horizontal wells and provide information about hydraulic-fracture connectivity between the wells. In this work, we present an integrated approach based on the analysis of tracer and pressure interference data to obtain the degree of interference between fractured horizontal wells in a multiwell pad. We analyze well interference using tracer (chemical tracer and radioactive proppant tracer) and pressure data in an 11-well pad in the Permian Basin. Changes in pressure and tracer concentration in the monitor wells were used to identify and evaluate interference between the source and monitor wells. Extremely low tracer recovery and weak pressure response signify the absence of connected fractures and suggest that interference through matrix alone is insignificant. Combined tracer and pressure-interference data suggest connected fracture pathways between the communicating wells. The degree of interference can be estimated in terms of pressure response times and tracer recovery. An effective reservoir model was used to simulate pressure interference between wells during production. Simulation results indicate that well interference observed during production is primarily because of hydraulically connected fractures. Combined tracer and pressure-interference analysis provides a unique tool for understanding the time-dependent connectivity between communicating wells, which can be useful for optimizing infill well drilling, well spacing, and fracture sizing in future treatment designs.

Abstract The objective of this study is to explore the opportunity to improve the design and sizing of mudmat for subsea structures, such as Pipeline End Termination (PLET). This is done by comparing the traditional approach following the limit equilibrium methods in API RP 2GEO with a more rigorous simplified integrated analysis approach that involves a single finite element analysis (FEA) model that includes both the pipeline and jumpers together along with the soil-mudmat interaction modeled as non-linear springs, and to quantify any conservatism inherent in the traditional approach. A mudmat design with aspect ratio of 1:2 was considered for detailed analysis. Initially, jumper and pipeline loads were determined by imposing artificial boundary conditions at the hubs and end terminals. Using analytical methods and considering a total dead (submerged) weight of the mudmat and superstructure, a mudmat size was determined per the American Petroleum Institute (API) approach. Factor of Safety (FOS) for bearing and sliding loads were also determined. Thereon, using this mudmat size, the FOS for bearing and sliding were determined using the simplified integrated approach with nonlinear springs representing soil-mudmat interactions. The FOS values using the simplified approach were observed to be higher than those obtained using the traditional approach. This provides an opportunity for a “leaner” design, especially as new high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) fields are made feasible where the mudmat size, if designed with conservatism in API RP 2GEO, may be impractically large for installation.
