Job satisfaction plays a vital role in the overall commitment and productivity of the school organization. It is more about individual attitude, an internal state which can mean different things to different people.  Job satisfaction can be a positive emotional state resulting from a personal appreciation of a person's work experience.  Recently job satisfaction has been cited as a possible cause of the current educational crisis among private catholic schools in Antique, which results in teacher turnover and absenteeism issues that lead to poor quality education. Hence, the paper describes the level of job satisfaction and the teaching performance of basic education teachers in Antique Diocesan Catholic Schools (ADCS) for the School Year 2019-2020. Likewise, it explores the relationship between teachers’ job satisfaction and their teaching performance.

Basic education teachers play a vital role in the attainment of quality education in the country; they build the educational foundation of young minds. This study determined the teaching performance of basic education teachers in the Division of Nueva Vizcaya using the NCBTS framework as an evaluation tool. The descriptive-inferential design was employed in this study. Data were statistically analyzed through frequency counts, means, t-test, f-test, post hoc test, correlation procedures and multiple regressions. Teachers with family responsibilities manifest a higher teaching performance in dealing with diverse learners, the community and their own personal and professional advancements. Teachers with higher teaching position demonstrate a higher teaching performance in providing a safe learning environment, addressing individual differences, communicating learning goals, and evaluating learning outcomes. Teachers with higher salary grade reflect a higher teaching performance by serving as a role model to their pupils, establishing standards of learner’s behavior, designing instructional activities for diverse learners to attain high standards of learning, and maximizing learning through appropriate evaluation procedures. The remarkable teaching performance of teachers in domains of social regard for learning, learning environment, diversity of learners, curriculum, and planning, assessing and reporting was strongly predicted by their high salary grade. One of the basic essential questions that many thinkers ask is whether values are teachable or not. Values essentially play a significant role in people's behavior, attitudes, perceptions, and motivations. Accordingly, these are manifested in the practice of their work. In this context, the workplace values are concerned with an individual's belief towards performance and evaluative standards relative to their professional duties and responsibilities. The fact that the integration of these values is the best predictor of organizational commitment. In the Diocesan schools of Antique, the teachers seem to have inadequately assimilated and minimally imbibed the practice of Christian and work values, which compromise their commitment to the profession. Thus, the paper assessed the practice of workplace values and the degree of organizational commitment of basic education teachers in Antique Diocesan Catholic Schools (ADCS) for the School Year 2019-2020. Likewise, it determined the difference in the two variables when teachers were grouped according to their age, sex, length of service, and educational attainment. Also, it analyzed the correlation between their practice of workplace values and the degree of organizational commitment.

The Pharmaceutical sector plays a vital role in underpinning the economic development of a country. This study attempts to evaluate job satisfaction of employees in different pharmaceutical companies. It focuses on the relative importance of job satisfaction factors and their impacts on the overall job satisfaction of employees. It also investigates the impacts of pharmaceutical type, work experience, age, and sex differences on the attitudes toward job Satisfaction. The result shows that salary, efficiency in work, fringe supervision, and co-worker relation are the most important factors contributing to job satisfaction. The overall job satisfaction of the employees in pharmaceutical sector is at the positive level. The nature of business operation, the work culture and the level of job satisfaction have undergone sea change for the pharmaceutical companies. As a business proposition initiated huge investment whereas majority of their stocks is going down bringing a high level of apprehension related to job security among its employees. This research paper highlights some of these problems and presents a picture of level of job satisfaction among employees of pharmaceutical companies. It also identifies unique issues of job satisfaction in the companies. Pharmaceuticals Companies are selected for the research because they are currently undergoing continued expansion. In order to gain competitive advantage and adapt to the dramatic changing environment, it is important for them to achieve management efficiency by increasing employee satisfaction in the organisation. Hence this research was mainly undertaken to investigate on the significance of factors such as working conditions, pay and promotion, job security, fairness, relationship with co-workers and supervisors in affecting the job satisfaction. This paper presents a comprehensive diagnosis of job satisfaction indices of pharmaceutical business, the factors causing the dissatisfaction & suggestions to improve them.

The principals play a vital role in the success of the schools. The leadership style practices of the principals can have a wedge on the commitment of employees. Keeping committed teachers is a challenge faced by educational leaders.  Hence, the paper describes the extent of leadership style practices and employees' organizational commitment profile in Antique Diocesan Catholic Schools (ADCS) during the school year 2019-2020. Likewise, it explores the significant difference in principals' leadership style practices as perceived by the employees when grouped according to demographics. Also, it determines the relationship that exists in the extent of leadership style practices and organizational commitment profile of employees.

Nurses’ preparedness has been very important for them to treat patients effectively during the COVID-19 pandemic and serve the community. Nurses provide a vital role in mitigating the effects of health crises. In order to help nurses better understand their skills, abilities, and knowledge, as well as the actions that they should take to manage care, the research aims of this study are to (1) investigate the level of preparedness, readiness, and anxiety among nurses during the COVID-19 outbreak in Sabah, Malaysia; (2) examine the effects of various differences in preparedness and readiness among nurses; and (3) examine the effect of COVID-19 preparedness on anxiety among nurses. The results revealed that the nurses were moderately competent in managing the COVID-19 care situation. Each of the 3 differentiating characteristics (age, work experience, and previous disaster experience) did not predict how nurses would manage COVID-19 preparedness significantly. Besides, we also found only 2 dimensions of preparedness (familiarity with epidemiology and surveillance and familiarity with psychological issues) significantly predicted nurses’ anxiety levels. Familiarity with epidemiology and surveillance predicted nurses’ anxiety positively; in contrast, familiarity with psychological issues negatively influenced nurses’ anxiety.

The issues are considered related to providing mining enterprises with the engineering personnel capable of managing mining and blasting operations. At present, not all the mining enterprises have a full staff of specialists and managers who are legally entitled to manage mining and blasting operations. Some employees who previously had such a right, after changes in the legal framework, ceased to meet the new requirements. The analysis is presented concerning the competencies required to perform these production functions, as well as educational programs that allow acquiring these competencies. The importance of professional retraining programs for solving these problems and the imperfection of the modern regulatory framework, which practically excludes the possibility of obtaining the right to manage mining and blasting operations, even after professional retraining for persons with a higher technical education in a non-mining profile, are shown in the article. An integrated approach is proposed for resolving the issues of the admissibility of obtaining the right to manage mining and blasting operations by these persons considering a number of factors: basic education, work experience and positions held at a mining enterprise, completed training in programs of additional education and professional retraining. Such programs should be developed and implemented by the organizations with experience in training mining engineers and having a license from Rosobrnadzor for the right to implement programs not only for additional professional education, but also for higher professional mining education. The need is substantiated in developing professional standards for managers of mining and blasting operations at the enterprises for the extraction of solid minerals. Recommendations were developed for amending the federal rules and regulations in the field of industrial safety in order to ensure the possibility of using professional retraining programs for training and final certification of the managers of mining and blasting operations.

En este artículo se expone un análisis sobre las representaciones que construyen docentes en torno al significante “reforma educativa” en el contexto de la educación básica, se presenta como ámbito de estudio la Escuela Primaria Colegio Cristóbal Colón en el estado de Veracruz, México, durante el ciclo escolar 2010-2011. Las preguntas centrales de esta investigación giran en torno a los significados construidos por las docentes respecto del término “reforma educativa” en la institución mencionada. En este abordaje se exponen los recursos procedentes de la teoría de las representaciones sociales, además de las dos categorías intermedias construidas en esta investigación: la primera se denomina reforma regional en perspectiva; la segunda, efecto de cambio y progreso. En este sentido la investigación permite conocer que las docentes significaron la interpelación de la RIEB 2009 como un llamado a la modificación de sus estrategias didácticas, identificando la reforma educativa como cambio curricular. AbstractThis article presents an analysis of the representations that teachers make about one term “educational reform” in the context of the basic education, in the Elementary School Cristóbal Colón in the state of Veracruz, Mexico; during the 2010-2011 school year. The core questions of this research are looking for the meanings given to the term “education reform” by the teachers in that institution. In this approach we take resources from the Theory of the Social Representations adding two mezzo categories created in this research: the first is called regional reform in perspective; the second is the effect of change and progress. Introduction: Chicken meat is a source of protein in the human diet. Protein content and values define the quality of chicken meat. This research aimed to analyze variations of protein profiles in chicken breast muscles from different slaughtering houses by using proteomic strategies. Methods: Total proteins of chicken breast muscles from three different slaughtering houses (Sample A, Sample B and Sample C) were extracted and quantified by using Bradford assay. Then, the proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE to monitor the quality of extracted proteins. Protein profiles in different samples were compared by 2D-GE analysis. Results: The most highly expressed protein band was located between the molecular size of 37-50 kD in all samples and it was expected to be betaactin. While resolved in 2D-PAGE, differences in protein expression were observed between samples. There were three spots expressed with highest intensity in Sample B compared to others. The protein spot detected at pH 5.28 and the size range between 50- 75 kD was predicted to be NADPH-cytochrome P450 reductase (CPR), at pH 6.45 and molecular weight between 37-50 kD was expected to be creatine kinase M-type (M-CK) while at pH 6.78 and molecular size nearly 25 kD was expected to be αB-crystallin. Conclusions: It can be mentioned that these proteins could play a vital role in mechanisms that contribute to the poor quality of chicken meat.

English learning has changed its role in Mexican Education throughout the years. Recently, in 2011, but with initial proof programs since 2009, the Federal Office of Public Education in Mexico proposed the National English Program in Basic Education, which included K-9.National English Program was new for some states, while others had to migrate and adjust the ones they had. Recently in 2017 some adaptations were made, the most important was the name of the program, but maintained its essence. In Zacatecas state, there was not a background regarding English learning, at least for K-6 students. In middle school (7-9 grades) most of the schools have teachers. Currently there are still some struggles in Zacatecas, English teachers for K-6 have not been hired to cover all schools, although its number has been increasing since 2011.This situation has broadened the proficiency levels of English commonly obtained by students. The study was carried out in Middle School #48 in the city of Zacatecas considering three 7th grade groups. The research is a mixed study, which considered different information gathered during the 2017-2018 school year, the intervention was based on Vygotsky’s theory, and planning according to the National English Program, at the end of the school year, results were collected, demonstrating the importance of effective planning based on context and students’ abilities.

Job satisfaction is positive emotional state, which is result of evaluation of some work experience. It is a multidisciplinary phenomenon, which is influenced by multiple internal and external factors. In this paper, employee satisfaction or job satisfaction was observed as a dependent variable, while interpersonal relationships are defined as influencing factor, i.e. independent variable. Interpersonal relationships imply establishment of social relations and connections between individuals at work. Interpersonal relationships can be defined as the subjective experience of employee in interaction or connection with another person (colleagues or superiors). Factors such as gender, age, education, work experience and job position are included in the analysis as control variables. Main hypothesis in this paper states that positive interpersonal relationships have impact on employee satisfaction. The independent variable is divided into three segments, namely: communication and work climate, relationship with superiors and relationship with colleagues. Each segment of interpersonal relationships was separately tested in relation to the dependent variable. The base of this paper is an empirical research conducted in 2019. Based on the survey questionnaire, data from 143 employees in the surveyed company were collected. Data processing was performed on the basis of statistical software for social sciences-SPSS. Descriptive and correlation analysis were applied in the data analysis. All hypotheses tested were confirmed. Testing the hypotheses confirm that there is a statistically significant relationship between observed variables and that there is a moderate positive correlation, which implies that interpersonal relationship is a factor of job satisfaction. Main limitation of this research relates to the observation of relationship between variables in a single business entity. However, the coverage of all employees in the conducted research and the high response rate of employees (82%) provide a good basis for data analysis and giving some general conclusions. Detailed description of research methodology enables its repetition in other organizations.
