ABSTRACT Objective: to characterize the profile, the level of knowledge and satisfaction of the nurses for emergency services and emergency pre-hospital in Foz do Iguacu city, Paraná, Brazil. Method: this is about a descriptive and exploratory study. It was drawn up a questionnaire with 10 questions applied to 17 individuals, the answers were analyzed, tabulated and displayed in figures with frequencies and percentages. Results: eleven (64,7%) are female, with average age of 33 years, ten nurses (58,8%) are graduated in less than five years and all of them have or are doing postgraduate studies, but only three (17,6%) of these individuals studied specific for emergency area, and fifteen (88,2%) of those interviewed felt happy with their work. Conclusion: observing this representative sample of all the emergency services/emergency the council concluded that the qualifications of the nurse providing this assistance is far short of the needs of the sector, and it is up to all involved the practice of this process of change framework, or users, universities, classes of entities, employers, and especially the professionals, seeking higher quality and demanding bribes for the best. Método: estudo descritivo e exploratório, utilizando-se de entrevista individual, para a coleta de dados junto a enfermeiros de unidade de urgência e emergência, pré ou intra-hospitalar. Foi elaborado um questionário e aplicado a 17 enfermeiros, cujas respostas foram analisadas, tabuladas em gráficos e demonstradas em freqüências e porcentagens. Resultados: onze (64,7%) são do sexo feminino, com média de idade de 33 anos, dez (58,8%) estão formados a menos de cinco anos, todos já possuem ou estão realizando pós-graduação, mas apenas três (17,6%) buscaram formação especifica na área de emergência, e que quinze (88,2%) referiram sentir prazer pelo serviço que praticam. Conclusão: a qualificação do enfermeiro que presta esta assistência está muito aquém das necessidades do setor, e cabe a todos os envolvidos praticarem o processo de mudança deste quadro, ou seja, usuários, universidades, entidades de classes, empregadores, e principalmente os profissionais, buscando maior qualificação e exigindo melhores gratificações por estas. Método: estudio exploratorio, descriptivo, para el cual se ha realizado entrevista individual, con cuestiones semi-estructuradas para recoger datos de los enfermeros en la unidad de emergencia y rescate, o unidad pre-hospital. Se ha elaborado un cuestionario con diez preguntas, aplicado a 17 personas, cuyas respuestas analizadas se muestran por medio de gráficos organizados de acuerdo a frecuencias y porcentajes. Resultados: la mayoría de esas personas encuestadas son mujeres -  once mujeres (64,7%), con edad media de 33 años.  Diez de ellos han concluido la carrera de enfermero hace cinco años o menos.  Todos ya completaron o están realizando estudios de posgrado, pero sólo tres (17,6%) de estos buscaron formación en el área de emergencia hospitalar. Del total, quince (88,2%) de los entrevistados se declararon felices con la actividad profesional que desarrollan. Conclusión: la  calificación profesional del enfermero es inferior a las necesidades requeridas en este sector, cabe, por lo tanto, a todos los profesionales del sector el compromiso de cambio de este estado, es decir, usuarios,  universidades, sindicatos laborales, entidades, empresarios, y profesionales en general deben exigir mejor calificación profesional y deben pensar también que el enfermero debe ser mejor recompensado por su trabajo. ABSTRAK Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Klungkung sebagai rumah sakit yang sudah menerapkan Pengelolaan Keuangan Badan Layanan Umum terus meningkatkan dan mengembangkan mutu pelayanan, terutama mutu pelayanan kegawatdaruratan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan petugas di Instalasi Gawat Darurat dan Penunjang Pelayanan Kegawatdaruratan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Klungkung tentang Standar Pelayanan Minimal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh petugas yang bekerja di Instalasi Gawat Darurat dan penunjang pelayanan kegawatdaruratan. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini 94 petugas dengan teknik pengumpulan sampel yaitu total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis univariat.  Hasil penelitian ini adalah mayoritas petugas memiliki pengetahuan baik mengenai SPM yaitu sebesar 86,17% sedangkan 13,83% memiliki pengetahuan kurang baik. Dilihat dari tingkat pengetahuan berdasarkan karakteristik, pengetahuan baik sebagian besar pada umur umur ?30 (88,14%), jenis kelamin perempuan (96,23%), pendidikan DIII (87,93%) dan masa kerja >10 tahun (88,46%). Saran yang bisa diberikan kepada Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Klungkung, sebaiknya rumah sakit memberikan sosialisasi kepada seluruh petugas mengenai SPM dengan rutin dan terjadwal sehingga petugas mendapatkan informasi mengenai SPM merata. Kata Kunci: Tingkat Pengetahuan, Standar Pelayanan Minimal ABSTRACT Klungkung Regency Regional General Hospital as a hospital that has implemented Financial Management Public Service Agency continues to improve and develop the quality of services, especially the quality of emergency services. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of officers in the Emergency Installation and Supporting Emergency Services of the Klungkung Regency General Hospital on Minimum Service Standards. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all officers who worked in the Emergency Installation and supporting emergency services. The number of samples in this study were 94 officers with total sample collection techniques. Data collection techniques in this study are by distributing questionnaires and data analysis used is univariate analysis. The results of this study were that the majority of officers had good knowledge of MSS, amounting to 86.17% while 13.83% had poor knowledge. Judging from the level of knowledge based on characteristics, good knowledge is mostly at the age of ?30 (88.14%), female gender (96.23%), DIII education (87.93%) and years of service> 10 years (88, 46%). Suggestions that can be given to the Klungkung Regency Regional General Hospital, the hospital should provide information to all officers on MSS routinely and on a regular basis so that officials get information about SPM evenly. Objetivo: o estudo buscou conhecer quais procedimentos/aspectos/situações relacionados aos serviços de urgência/emergência foram objeto de regulamentação pelos conselhos de Enfermagem. Metodologia: estudo descritivo exploratório com abordagem qualitativa e documental, realizado em setembro de 2013. A fonte constituiu-se das Resoluções/Pareceres/Decisões do Sistema dos Conselhos de Enfermagem. Foram selecionadas três resoluções, 51 pareceres e sete decisões. Resultados: os dados foram agrupadas em três categorias temáticas: procedimentos que são e procedimentos que não são de competência legal do enfermeiro na urgência/ emergência; e procedimentos que são de competência legal apenas em risco iminente de morte. Conclusão: o exame da legislação apontou a necessidade de uma maior regulamentação do exercício profissional e formação nessa área.Descritores: Enfermagem, Legislação de Enfermagem, Emergências.LEGAL COMPETENCE OF EMERGENCY NURSESObjective: the study aimed to know which procedures/issues/situations related to urgency/emergency services were subject to regulation by the boards of nursing. Various studies show that the level of knowledge achieved by pupils is influenced by the level of knowledge of their teachers. In this article, we focus on geometric thinking and the solutions for geometric tasks through a study of future teachers of primary education. The research sample consisted of 59 master’s students from the Teacher Training for Primary Education (TTPE) program. To determine the level of geometric thinking of TTPE students, the van Hiele geometric test was used. Two geometric multi-item tasks were proposed and the students’ solutions to these tasks were quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated. The main goal was to analyze students’ misconceptions while solving tasks and to compare and reveal the connections between their solutions and their achieved level of geometric thinking. A statistical implicative analysis was used for a deeper analysis, namely the statistical software C.H.I.C. The research findings show that more than 40% of TTPE students in the research sample did not reach the required level of geometric thinking. The achieved level of the geometric thinking of students is also influenced by the type of high school education. We observed problems with understanding the concept of the triangle and square in TTPE students. The connections between the solutions of two geometric tasks and the achieved level of geometric thinking were also revealed.

The author in this study presents the new term called “Quadruple Change” as a framework for delivering high-value digital transformation in organizations. The quadruple change consists of technical, organizational, social, and global change during digital transformation. The author conducted a qualitative exploratory study to explore strategies that leaders need to adopt to cultivate transformation agents during digital transformation toward establishing sustainability. The study revealed that for successful digital transformation, organizations need to empower employees, engage them in the process of change, and develop the culture of transformation in the dynamic environment. Toward this achievement, cultivating transformation agents based on quadruple change is one of the significant steps. The study findings identified seven factors contributing to cultivating transformation agents in organizations, including vision creation, mindset change, knowledge improvement, innovation development, motivation increment, leadership support, and collaboration.

Abstract Aims: With the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in most centres postponing the non-emergency services, there is a potential risk of under reporting of uncomplicated cholesteatoma cases, due to lack of symptoms and awareness. This study aims to assess the level of knowledge about CSOM, especially cholesteatoma and related harmful practices among general population. Methods: All consenting adult hospital visitors, irrespective of their purpose of visit were invited to participate in this questionnaire based, cross sectional study at the preregistration point of the tertiary care teaching hospital. Data was collected and analyzed using appropriate methods. Results: Among 350 respondents, majority exhibited poor level of knowledge about general perceptions about ear infections [295(84.3%)], perceptions about cholesteatoma[246(70.3%)]; knowledge about intratemporal complications[244(69.7%)]; knowledge about intracranial complications[247(70.6%)] and harmful practices in ear disease patients[279(79.7%)].Multivariate analysis of socio-demographic and ear disease history related characteristics with overall ear disease related knowledge has shown that unskilled workers and unemployed respondents have poor knowledge levels compared to their counterparts, but at the same time the study has found that respondents with higher level of education also exhibited poor levels of knowledge in contrary to the existing evidence. Conclusion: This study highlights the lack of awareness about CSOM, especially cholesteatoma and its complications, harmful practices mainly in rural population, even in well educated groups, and the need for health education measures to create awareness among the general population regarding various areas ofconcern, to prevent a potential increase in the incidence of complications, especially during and post COVID-19 pandemic.

Este trabajo fue elaborado como producto de una investigación más amplia, donde uno de los objetivos de la indagación fue reconstruir y comprender el proceso de integración que vivieron los académicos que dieron origen al Programa Único de Posgrado en Pedagogía, como consecuencia de la reforma al Reglamento General de Estudios de Posgrado de 1996 en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). La reconstrucción histórica de la reestructuración del posgrado requirió identificar y describir el entramado de relaciones que se entretejieron durante este periodo de cambio, a partir de la experiencia y relato de los académicos, por lo que, se utilizó la entrevista semiestructurada como dispositivo metodológico para acercarme a informantes clave y reconstruir la historia de la creación del Programa Único de Posgrado en Pedagogía de la UNAM, sus objetivos, directrices, orientaciones, actores, estrategias, ideas centrales, conflictos, posicionamientos, acuerdos, desacuerdos, etc. Esta etapa de transformación es analizada desde la perspectiva de la teoría de los campos de Pierre Bourdieu, por la lucha de poder que enfrentan los protagonistas, se analizan los elementos que les permitieron su incorporación al campo, los haberes que pusieron en juego para posicionarse dentro del Comité de Reestructuración y la disputa de poder por pertenecer al nuevo programa de posgrado; fue un proceso de reforma, rivalidad, conocimiento y desconocimiento entre las distintas entidades, donde finalmente se puede develar cómo cambió la correlación de fuerzas durante la integración académica. This work was elaborated as a product of a broader investigation, where one of the objectives of the investigation was to reconstruct and comprehend the process of academic integration experienced by academics, postgraduate professors from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters (FFyL), the Center of Studies on the University (today IISUE) and the National School of Professional Studies Aragón (today FES Aragón), all academic entities of the National Autonomous College of Mexico (UNAM), in the creation of the Postgraduate One Program in Pedagogy as a consequence of the reform’s provisions to the General Regulations for Postgraduate Studies of 1996. A semi-structured interview was conducted as a methodological device to approach key informants, members of the 1997-98 Postgraduate Restructuring Committee, and members of the Academic Committee, who would help me to reconstruct the history of the creation of UNAM’s Postgraduate One Program in Pedagogy, its objectives, guidelines, orientations, participants, strategies, central ideas, conflicts, positions, agreements, disagreements, etc. The reconstruction of the reform process required identifying and describing the framework of the relations that interweaved during this period, and that allows us to build and rebuild the process of change, based on the academic’s experience and story. This process is analyzed from the perspective of Pierre Bourdieu’s field theory for the power struggle that the protagonists face. Analyzes the elements which permit their incorporation to the field, the abilities brought into play to position inside the Restructuring Committee and the power dispute for belonging and conforming the new Postgraduate Program; a process of rivalry reform, knowledge, and ignorance between their participants, where it can finally be revealed how the correlation of forces in the academic integration process changed. The study started from the assumption that the institutional intentions of the 1996 postgraduate reform were one thing, regarding the integration of entities with related fields of knowledge with the purpose of potentiating resources, specifically enriching the academic establishment, through its permanent interaction between schools, faculties, centers, and research institutes; and how they assumed it, how they understood it and what implications the articulation of these academic entities had.

The central aim of this paper is to examine the relationships and implications of the education-employment nexus for recent university graduates in Italy by analysing the main elements that influence college graduates' employment probabilities three years after graduation. In addition, it provides a comparison among Italian macro-areas regarding graduates' region of residence in 2010. In this sample, continuous work experience during undergraduate studies, further postgraduate studies, older graduation ages and being married or divorced are characteristics that increase the probability of being employed compared to being unemployed three years after graduation. We used micro-data from a nation-wide survey carried out by the Italian Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) in 2011 on a representative sample of 33,696 graduates belonging to the 2007 cohort. The results confirmed the existence of significant differences in graduates' employment among Italian macro-areas. Graduates who were employed in the South in 2010 have shown a strong marked profile that is unfavorable to women and is distinguished by the oldest ages of graduates at the time of graduation and in post-graduation pursuits.
