The article is focused on an analysis of educational attainment of an individual and income situation of their household. At the beginning, a compendious summary of secondary sources is introduced. It resumes data supporting and contradicting the hypothesis about education as a determinant of an income situation. The preliminary theses analysis is performed by results quantification of a project called European Union – Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC). Aim of the paper is to verify the input thesis assumed from secondary resources. The thesis concerns the direct proportion between a level of education achieved and level of financial income. An introduction of a methodology and research summarized data forms a basis for particular analyses which are based on a conjunction of obtained information on household average monthly income and the educational attainment of their leading member. Analyses are sustained by contingency which characterizes social groups, i.e. spheres in which leading members are mostly involved with regard to income.Research results proved the validity of the preliminary thesis about correlation, respectively direct proportionality of educational attainment and monthly income amount. Education is consequently identified as one of income situation determinants. The authors anticipate specificity of the selected point of view. Results are therefore presented only as a partial argument and a possible base for further enquiries.

The present study was carried out with a view to explore the proportion of mothers vaccinated by Measles Rubella (MR) vaccine and to assess their knowledge level regarding MR vaccine in Natore Sadar Upazila. This study was a cross-sectional type of descriptive study. A total 153 mothers were selected purposively as respondents. Of them 140 were pregnant. The present study showed that 40% of the respondents were in the age group of 20-24 years with mean age of the respondents being 25.2 ± 4.5 years. The respondents were predominantly Muslim (94.1%), literate (96.1%) pregnant (91.5%) and belonged to nuclear family (55.8%). Over three-quarters (75.2%) of the respondents had monthly family income of up to Taka 10,000 with average monthly income being Tk. 9975 ± 9112. Out of 153 respondents, about 44% were farmer. The respondents were invariably familiar (94.8%) with MR vaccine and were aware about the total number of MR vaccines to be received to develop full immunity against measles and rubella. Majority (91.5%) of their children received MR vaccine. Over 80% of the respondents knew the dose schedule of MR vaccine. However, approximately 95% of them did not know that MR vaccine is required during pregnancy. As association of demographic characteristics of the respondents with their level of knowledge on MR vaccine was analyzed, none of the demographic characteristics (age, educational status of the respondents, husband’s occupation and monthly income) were found to be associated with their knowledge level (p > 0.05). The study concluded that mothers, particularly pregnant mothers, know that there is a vaccine known as MR, but majority of them do not have adequate knowledge about target groups of this vaccine. This gap in knowledge should be minimized through health education to make wider coverage of the vaccine. TAJ 2019; 32(1): 1-8

This study was carried out to determine some socio-demographic characteristics of freshwater amateur anglers who are social media users in interactive area. Fishers were surveyed using an online questionnaire. The survey comprised 24 questions. The first set of questions collected demographic data and was compatible with other major recreational fisher surveys. The survey was conducted with 2045 people. The online questionnaire applied in this study has participated in 71 different provinces of Turkey. A very important proportion of amateur fishers participating in the survey was male (99.9%). When the occupational distributions of fishers are examined, unemployment was the most common with 41.7% and followed by self-employed (26.3%), civil servant (16.2%), retired (8.1%) and student (6.2%) respectively. Although the angling fish is generally regarded as a retired occupation, their rate was very low due to the application of the questionnaire interactively. This finding is supported by the fact that 76.7% of the respondents are between 25-46 ages. The majority of angling fishers are single (76.7%) and the average monthly income of them is 2845 TL. The average monthly income of 51.2% of participants was found between 1500 and 3000 TL. 40.6% of amateur anglers are high school graduates and 41.5% of them had university (pre-undergraduate, undergraduate and graduate) education. It can be said that the education level of amateur anglers participating in this study is higher than Turkey's commercial fisheries in many lakes and dam lakes.

AbstractThe aim of the current study is to assess the level of satisfaction towards pharmaceutical services among Romanian customers. Moreover, we were interested in building the socio-demographical profile of a Romanian satisfied customer. The study has a transversal design and uses a quantitative approach. Data was collected at the national level in June 2012 by using Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) and resulted in 1,478 valid questionnaires. Descriptive statistics were performed in order to properly present the sample of interest according to socio-demographic characteristics, as well as general attitudes towards pharmaceutical market. According to our analysis, only half of the respondents have a favorite pharmacy (50,4%). Regarding their level of satisfaction, the majority of respondents (53%) declared themselves as being quite satisfied with the pharmacy that they usually collaborate with, whereas 42% of respondents are very satisfied with their favorite pharmacies. According to our analysis, the most satisfied customer has the following socio-demographic characteristics: female (N=351), aged between 56 and 70 years old (N=259), having high school as the highest level of education (N=184), living in an urban area (N=343), having a monthly income of 501-1000 RON (N=217), married (N=396), having no chronic disease (N=312), having a family composed of two members (N=185). Customer’s satisfaction represents a personal evaluation on the pharmaceutical services and providers and is an essential part of the quality of health care. Therefore, it is vital to assess the customer’s expectation and satisfaction in order to ensure the success of the pharmaceutical company.

In the article the reflective competence is seen as an integrative personal formation which develops in the process of acquiring of the reflective experience, when the subject is using various forms of the reflective activity for the solving of specific reflective tasks. In the structure of the reflective competence the value-motivational component performs such functions: an evaluation of forms of the reflective activity and its results, a prediction of the possible changes in the process of solving of the problem-conflict situations, a determining of the priorities for further development of himself as a subject of the reflective activity. The system of the criteria of an evaluating of the reflective activity`s forms functions on the cognitive level of the reflective competence. The level of the cognitive complexity is the basic feature of this system. The predictive abilities` system, that allows to form the expectations of the activity`s results, presents the value-motivational component on the metacognitive level. The system of the life tasks for the self-development, which stimulates the subject to make efforts to develop his own qualities, to form specific skills and knowledge, functions on the personal level. The fragmentation of the elements is an indicator of the incompleteness of the formation of the internal structure of the value-motivational component. The low level of integration of the separate elements does not allow effectively to compensate the functioning of the unformed elements of the system. The index of the formation of the abilities to predict his own activity has the greatest meaning in the internal structure of the value-motivational component. These data confirm the hypothesis about the system-forming function of the metacognitive structures that unite other structures. Thus the development of the predictive abilities will promote the increase of the abilities to the prediction of the others` behavior. An adequate assessment of other people significantly reduces the inconsistency of his own expectations and estimations of others. The development of the predictive abilities creates favorable conditions for the formation of the life tasks for the self-development to increase their value in the system of other tasks

There are a wide range of options for individuals to choose from in order to engage in aerobic exercise; from outdoor running to computer controlled and self-propelled treadmills. Recently, self-propelled treadmills have increased in popularity and provide an alternative to a motorized treadmill. Twenty subjects (10 men, 10 women) ranging in age from 19-23 with a mean of 20.4 ± 0.8 SD were participants in this study. The subjects visited the laboratory on three occasions. The purpose of the first visit was to familiarize the subject with the self-propelled treadmill (Woodway Curve 3.0). The second visit, subjects were instructed to run on the self-propelled treadmill for 3km at a self-determined pace. Speed data were collected directly from the self-propelled treadmill. The third visit used speed data collected during the self-propelled treadmill run to create an identically paced 3km run for the subjects to perform on a motorized treadmill (COSMED T150). During both the second and third visit, oxygen consumption (VO2) and respiratory exchange ratio (R) data were collected with COSMED’s Quark cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) metabolic mixing chamber system. The VO2 mean value for the self-propelled treadmill (44.90 ± 1.65 SE ml/kg/min) was significantly greater than the motorized treadmill (34.38 ± 1.39 SE ml/kg/min). The mean R value for the self-propelled treadmill (0.91 ± 0.01 SE) was significantly greater than the motorized treadmill (0.86 ± 0.01 SE). Our study demonstrated that a 3km run on a self-propelled treadmill does elicit a greater physiological response than a 3km run at on a standard motorized treadmill. Self-propelled treadmills provide a mode of exercise that offers increased training loads and should be considered as an alternative to motorized treadmills.
