Labor and delivery, while perceived as gratifying and joyful, are nonetheless among the most painful events women can experience in life. Treating pain is nowadays one of the essential elements in assisting women during labor. Epidural analgesia is the best option to ensure the optimal control of pain for the mother without compromising the wellbeing of the fetus. The main contraindications to neuraxial analgesia techniques include patient refusal, known bleeding diathesis or abnormal coagulation tests, elevated intracranial pressure (particularly in the presence of an intracranial space occupying lesion), severe aortic or mitralic valve stenosis and infections at the puncture site [1]. There are many pathogens responsible for cutaneous infections at the dorsal-lumbar level, yeasts of the Malassetia genus being the most commonly implicated. Malassetia Globulosa is the predominant species in the Tinea Versicolor infection [2,3]. Also implicated are M. Sympodialis, M. Furfur and others as well [4]. These fungi are normal components of the cutaneous flora but the transformation from yeasts to micelia can lead to the pathology. The cause for this occurrence is still unknown, yet there are a few contributing factors leading to this infection that affects mostly adolescents and young adults; these are genetic predisposition [5], heat and humidity, immunosuppression, contraceptives, pregnancy and malnutrition. It manifests with characteristic hypo- or hyper-pigmented spots alongside the trunk, the neck, and the face. The majority of the times infection is entirely superficial but cases of meningitis and Central Nervous System (CNS) infections from hematogenous spread have been reported [6,7]. The literature supports with data that adequate antiseptic preparation of the skin effectively prevents meningitis occurrence after epidural puncture [8]; other cases are reported where a small incision of the skin allows for a safer passage of the needle directly in the subcutis without going thnrough the corneal layer.

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers and cooking oil fumes (COF) are considered as the potential dangerous contributing factors. This study, a meta-analysis was conducted to analyse the correlation between exposure to COF and risk of lung cancer. Literature from 1980 to 2020 were searched and 29 studies were selected for analysis. Results showed that population exposed to COF had significant differences in lung cancer prevalence (P < 0.05). The odds ratio (OR) values of different periods (before 2000, 2000–2010 and 2010–2020) were significantly different. Using ventilation equipment had the OR of 0.54. Liao cuisine, Fujian cuisine, Shanghai cuisine, Jingdong cuisine and Shaanxi cuisine had the ORs (95% confidence interval) of 1.91 (1.62, 2.25), 2.38 (1.80, 3.16), 1.56 (1.29, 1.89), 2.58 (1.63, 4.09) and 1.57 (1.16, 2.11), respectively. These results revealed that exposure to COF could increase the risk of lung cancer, but the risk was gradually reduced with the changes of the times and the use of ventilation equipment. Different cooking methods in different regions caused different risks of lung cancer. The risk of lung cancer caused by COF mainly produced by deep-frying, quick-frying, stir-frying and pan-frying is higher than in other methods.

The argument in the 380s between Gregory and Apolinarius, as set out Gregory’s Antirrheticus adversus Apolinarium, can be seen as a significant step in the development of the Church’s Christological teaching. Apolinarius’s notion that the eternal Logos took the place of Jesus Christ’s human mind is designed to establish the unity of his person, by providing a basis for the ontic continuity between the Second Person of the Trinity and Christ in his two natures. Commendably, he wants to counter any suggestion of separation between the human and divine natures (“two Christs”), which he sees as inevitably leading to an “adoptionist” view of Christ as a “God-filled man”; that would put Christ on the same level as the Old Testament prophets and could not form the basis of an adequate soteriology. Gregory argues convincingly however that Apolinarius’s “enfleshed mind” Christology would mean that Jesus Christ was not fully human and could not therefore save humankind. But in the face of Apolinarius’s challenge he cannot give an adequate account of Christ’s unity during his earthly career. He remains open to Apolinarius’s charge of a “divisive” Christology by in effect postponing the complete unity until after Christ’s glorification, when his divinity overwhelmed his humanity and removed all his human characteristics, in the same way as the water of the sea overwhelms a drop of vinegar dropped into it. On this basis he has, anachronistically but not unreasonably, been accused of taking a Nestorian view of Christ before his glorification and a monophysite one after it. Both Apolinarius’s stress on the unity of Christ and Gregory’s on the notion that ‘what is not assumed is not healed’ (Nazianzen’s phrase) were essential elements in what emerged seventy years later in the Chalcedonian definition.

AbstractThe Qur’an, which has the status of a Muslim holy book, is experiencing "alienation" because it is considered unable to make practical contributions to various new challenges that arise. Al-Qur’an and Pancasila, which are the two important handles of Indonesian Muslims, are expected to not only keep up with the times. More than that, the al-Qur’an and Pancasila must really be able to fill the void and give an active role through its values, to bring the progress of Indonesia with a distinctive personality in the face of the Industrial 4.0 era. This paper tries to review the strengthening of Muslim Hub as a strategy in dealing with Industry 4.0 through contextualization of the values of the Koran and Pancasila. This study uses Max Weber's theory of Protestant ethics. In a book entitled The Protestant Ethics and Spirit of Capitalism, Weber has done a thorough analysis of the relationship between capitalism and religion. Kata Kunci: Kontekstualisasi, Al-Qur’an, Pancasila, Industri 4.0.

We developed and reported a standard-free method for beard (including mustache and whiskers) samples that enables us to quantitatively analyze powdered beard samples of extremely small quantity. In order to investigate intake of essential elements and also exposure to toxic elements, daily changes of elemental concentration in the body give us essential information. Firstly, we have measured dependence of elemental concentration in beard, mustache and whiskers on the collecting regions in the face. Then, daily changes of elemental concentration in the body, which reflect daily ingestion of foods and waters, have been estimated by means of quantitative analyses of beard samples. These beard samples were taken from three persons everyday over successive 7, 14 and 33 days, respectively. As a result, some elements show long-term changes and a few toxic elements such as arsenic and lead exhibit changes in a period of a few days. We have also measured daily changes of elemental concentration in urine and beard taken from the same person at the same time every half day over 10 days, and clear correlation of daily changes of the arsenic concentration between urine and beard samples was observed. It is found that the standard-free method is quite effective for beard samples of very small quantities, and that beard analyses are quite suited to studies on daily changes of elemental concentration in the human body in comparison with the other samples depending on the elements.

AbstractThis paper offers an account for the cross-linguistic prevalence of phonological word-final vowel shortening, in the face of phonetic final lengthening, also commonly observed across languages. Two contributing factors are hypothesized: (1) an overlap in the durational distributions of short and long vowel phonemes across positions in the utterance can lead to the misidentification of phonemic vowel length and (2) the direction of bias in such misidentification is determined by the distributional properties of the short and long vowel phonemes in the region of the durational overlap. Because short vowel phonemes are typically more frequent in occurrence and less variable in duration than long vowel phonemes, long vowel phonemes are more likely to be misidentified than short vowel phonemes. Results of production and perception studies in Tokyo Japanese support these hypotheses.
