Educational institutions show their activities in an intense environment and lead the generations that will be the architects of the future. Considering the importance of education, it is important for academics to transfer their knowledge and experience to students by blending them with scientific data in this intense environment. However, in order for educational process to work efficiently, it is thought that the harmony of the person with his job and organization is the main point to be emphasized. In this context, this research aimed to determine the person-organization and Person-Job Fit of academics, to determine the relationship between these two variables, and to determine the predictive role of person-to-job fit on Person-Organization Fit working in the field of education. In this study, which was carried out in the relational screening model, the opinions of 403 academics were taken voluntarily. The “Personal Information Form” created by the researchers as a data collection tool in the research, and the “Person-Organization Fit Scale” developed by Netemeyer et al. (1997) and adapted to Turkish culture by Turunç and Çelik (2012) to measure the Person-Organization Fit and “Perceived Person-Job Fit Scale”, adapted to Turkish culture by Yaşar (2009) by benefiting from the researches of Cable and Judge (1996) and Saks and Ashforth (1997) was used to measure perceived Person-Job Fit. As a result of the analyzes made; It has been seen that there is a positive relationship between Person-Organization Fit and Person-Job Fit, and Person-Job Fit is a predictor of Person-Organization Fit. In addition, it was determined that the person-to-work and Person-Organization Fit of the academics were above the medium level. When the scale of Person-Organization Fit is examined, there is no difference in terms of gender, academic title and department of duty, but a significant relationship has been determined according to marital status. When the Person-Job Fit Scale was examined, it was determined that there was no relationship according to gender and the department, and there was a significant difference according to marital status and academic title.

The research aims to measure secondary school students career maturity level. The research also attempts to find out whether those variables are related to other variables such as gender and educational stream. A total of 1060 respondents from 106 regular daily national secondary schools in Terengganu have been identified as research sample and they are selected through systematic random sampling process.  This survey type of research uses a set of questionnaire and interview protocol. The questionnaire comprised three sub scales: (i) Personal information and student involvement in career guidance and counseling programme, (ii) Career Maturity Inventory. The alpha value for career maturity is 0.92.  Data had been analyzed using descriptive analysis i.e. frequency, percentage, t-Test, mean, and standard deviation. Besides,  inferential analysis such as ANOVA and linear regression is also applied to test research hypothesis.  The result indicates that in general career maturity among the students ranking from low to medium level.   It has also found that students’ career maturity are significantly different based on gender and educational stream.  However, there is no significant difference between the students’ career maturity based on race.  The report concludes although career guidance and counseling programme activity plays important role in the development of the two variable.  The findings have important implications for development of career guidance and counseling programme in schools.   Key Words: Career Maturity, Career Guidance, Career Counseling Programme.   Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tahap kematangan kerjaya pelajar-pelajar sekolah menengah. Kajian ini juga meninjau sama ada kedua-dua pemboleh ubah tersebut dapat dikaitkan dengan pemboleh ubah-pemboleh ubah lain seperti jantina dan aliran atau jurusan pengajian. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 1060 orang pelajar yang dipilih dengan kaedah pensampelan rawak bersistematik daripada 106 buah Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Harian Biasa di negeri Terengganu. Kajian yang dijalankan secara tinjauan ini menggunakan soal selidik. Soal selidik yang digunakan untuk memungut data mempunyai dua skala kecil iaitu; (i) Maklumat dan biodata diri dan (ii) Inventori kematangan kerjaya, yang telah diuji dan didapati mempunyai kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan yang tinggi, iaitu nilai alpha bagi kematangan kerjaya ialah 0.92. Data yang dipungut telah dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif iaitu peratusan, frekuensi, min dan sisihan piawai bagi menjawab soalan kajian, manakala analisis inferensi seperti Ujian-t dan ANOVA digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis kajian. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa secara umumnya tahap kematangan kerjaya pelajar berada pada tahap rendah dan sederhana. Bagaimanapun, kematangan kerjaya pelajar didapati berbeza secara signifikan berdasarkan jantina, dan aliran atau jurusan pengajian. Kesimpulannya, tahap kematangan kerjaya pelajar turut dipengaruhi oleh faktor jantina, aliran atau jurusan pengajian. Justeru, sebarang aktiviti program bimbingan dan kaunseling kerjaya perlulah mengambil kira faktor-faktor pemboleh ubah tersebut.   Kata kunci: Kematangan Kerjaya, Bimbingan Kerjaya, Program Kaunseling Kerjaya.

Present study aims to investigate the emotional labor and life satisfaction levels of staff in the central organization of General Directorate of Sport Services. The population of the study consists of staff in the central organization of General Directorate of Sport Services. The sample is consisted of 276 staff determined by random sampling method. As data collection tool; to determine the demographic characteristics of the participants, a four-item ''Personal Information Form'' as well as a nine- item ''Emotional Labor Scale'' developed by Brotheridge and Lee (2003) and adapted to Turkish by Dursun et al. (2014) and ''Life Satisfaction Scale'' developed by Diener et al. (1985) and adapted to Turkish by Bekmezci and Mert (2013) were utilized in the study. In the analysis of the data, frequency, percentage (%) and median values were used. Kruskal Wallis test was used for normal distribution of data and Mann Whitney U in test non-parametric tests was used according to the results gathered. The significance level was taken as p<0,05. When the findings obtained from the study were evaluated, life satisfaction levels of GDSS staff were at medium level. At the same time, there was a significant difference in education level and working time in the profession “in the sub-dimension of hidden emotions of emotional labor dimension of staff in GDSS. Activities such as various social activities can be organized by the Institution to improve the belonging of employees and to increase the levels of emotional labor and life satisfaction.

In addition to many factors determining the quality of education in educational institutions, the skills of education managers to manage the institution and affect teachers are also important. This study was carried out in order to determine the management skills and skills of affecting teachers of primary school directors in line with teacher opinions. The study group consists of 367 teachers working at state primary schools in Tuzla district of Istanbul province in the 2013-2014 academic year. The study is a screening study of the relational comparison type.The “Scale of School Principals’s  Teachers Affect” which was developed by Uygun (2006), "Management Skills Scale" adapted to Turkish by Şekerci (2006) and the “Personal Information Form” were used in the study in order to collect data.The results of this study show that the management skills of school directors are perceived by teachers at a high level. While the management skills of school directors perceived by teachers do not vary by the gender, age, marital status, seniority, grades taught and educational status of the teachers, a significant difference was determined by the variable of the region of education.It was seen that the skills of school directors to affect teachers are at the intermediate level according to the teacher perception. While there was no significant difference between the skills of school directors to affect teachers and the gender, marital status, the grades taught and educational status of the teachers, a significant difference was found by age and seniority. It was determined that as the management skills of school directors increased their scores of affecting teachers increased and there was a significant positive relationship between them. ÖzetEğitim kurumlarında eğitimin niteliğini belirleyen birçok faktörle birlikte eğitim yöneticilerinin kurum yönetimi becerileri ile öğretmenleri etkileme becerileri de önemlidir. Bu araştırma, ilkokul müdürlerinin yönetim ve öğretmenleri etkileme becerilerini öğretmen görüşleri doğrultusunda belirlenmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma grubu 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul İli Tuzla İlçesi devlet ilkokullarında görev yapan 367 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma ilişkisel karşılaştırma türünde bir tarama çalışmasıdır.Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla Uygun (2006) tarafından geliştirilen “Okul Müdürlerinin Öğretmenleri Etkileme Ölçeği”,  Şekerci (2006) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan “Yönetim Becerileri Ölçeği” ve “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”  kullanılmıştır.Bu araştırmanın sonuçları, okul müdürlerinin yönetim becerilerinin öğretmenler tarafından yüksek düzeyde algılandığını göstermektedir. Öğretmenlerin algıladıkları okul müdürlerinin yönetim becerileri öğretmenlerin cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum, kıdem, okuttuğu sınıf ve eğitim durumlarına göre değişmezken; eğitim bölgesi değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılık belirlenmiştir.Okul müdürlerinin öğretmenleri etkilemeleri becerilerinin öğretmen algısına göre orta düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür. Okul müdürlerinin öğretmenleri etkileme becerileri ile öğretmenlerin cinsiyet, medeni durum, okutulan sınıf ve eğitim durumuna göre anlamlı farklılık bulunmazken; yaş ve kıdeme göre anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Yönetim becerileri arttıkça okul müdürlerinin öğretmenleri etkileme puanlarının arttığı ve aralarındaki pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir.

For teaching profession, one of the important types of intelligence is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence levels of especially physical education teachers are expected to be high. The aim of this study is to examine emotional intelligence levels of physical education and sports teachers based on various variables. In this research, single screening model which is one of the General Survey models has been adopted. Population of the study consists of 320 Physical Education Teachers working in Ağrı in 2018-2019 academic years and its sample group consists of a total of 106 physical education teachers, of which 23 are female and 83 are male and who were selected from this population by random sampling method. “Personal Information Form” developed by researchers has been used in order to determine demographic characteristics of Physical Education Teachers, “Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale” developed by Schutte et al. (1998) has been used in order to measure their emotional intelligence levels. According to findings, it has been seen that emotional intelligence levels of physical education teachers differentiate significantly in favor of physical education and sports teachers do not have administrative function in sub-dimension of utilizations of emotions according to administrative function variable. It has been determined that there is no significant difference between them according to gender, age and professional experience, education grade which is worked in, educational level, marital status, status of doing sports and smoking variables. Consequently, it is seen that emotional intelligence levels of physical education teachers are above medium level and there is no difference between them in terms of other variables except variable of having administrative function.

The aim of the study is to investigate the leisure involvement and happiness levels of the individuals who have any fitness center membership. Screening model was used in the research. The sample group of the research was composed of a total of 599 voluntary participants, 260 being &ldquo;females&rdquo; and 339 being &ldquo;males&rdquo;, who were using fitness centers and were selected using improbable purposeful sampling method. &ldquo;Oxford Happiness Scale Short Form&mdash;OHS-F&rdquo;, developed by Hills and Argyle (2002) and adapted into Turkish by Doğan and Cotok (2011) along with &ldquo;Leisure Involvement Scale&mdash;LIS-F&rdquo;, developed by Kyle et al. (2007) and adapted into Turkish by Gurbuz et al. (2018) were used in the study in addition to &ldquo;Personal Information Form&rdquo;. Descriptive statistical method (frequency, arithmetic mean, standard deviation) was used for the identification of the distribution of the participants&rsquo; information. In order to determine if the data had normal distribution or not, Shapiro-Wilk test for normality was conducted and in consequence of this test, t-test, single factorial MANOVA, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation tests were administered upon determining that the data were in accordance with parametric test conditions. According to the findings, while there was no significant difference found in the happiness levels in line with the gender, marital status and education levels of the participants; a significant difference was determined in the leisure involvement levels according to education level and gender, and yet no significant difference was found between the leisure involvement level and marital status. Besides, a positively significant relationship was determined between the level of happiness and leisure involvement. The restraints as well as the evaluations for future studies were discussed in this sense.

Internet security safety awareness of parents is an important issue that should be addressed to raise the knowledge and awareness level about internet risks, information privacy, personal information, safety concerns and online attacks among parents to be able to teach their children to keep safe use on the internet.  This study amid to investigate the awareness of parents towards the safe use of the internet. A questionnaire was created by researchers for this aim.  A survey sample was conducted contains items of the characteristics of internet security and safety. A total of 252 participants who their children study at Near East Libyan School were targeted in this study. 116 of the participants are males and 136 are females. The average age of participants is 27.  Data were collected and analyzed by using SPSS software. Parametric tests were applied to collected data according to statistical analysis. Results are confirmed that parents’ awareness towards the safe use of the internet is medium level. Also, there is no statistically significant difference between relative relationship variables and all dimensions of the questionnaire. Seminars should be organized for information about online privacy information on websites and how to create strong passwords for their children’s online accounts.   Keywords:  Internet security; parents; safe internet

The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between coping styles and cognitive flexibility variables in adult individuals and whether these two variables change according to gender, age, marital status, educational status and socioeconomic levels. The research is structured according to the scanning model.The sample of the study consisted of a total of 309 participants, including 261 randomly selected women and 48 men living in Bartın province. In the study, data were obtained using the" coping styles scale“, the” cognitive flexibility scale "and the" Personal Information Form". The data were analyzed using the SPSS 25 statistical program. Pearson Correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and t test for independent samples were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analyzes made for the purpose of the research; while gender and marital status characteristics led to significant differences in cognitive flexibility and coping styles, age, educational status and monthly income characteristics did not create a significant difference. In addition, it was concluded that the independent variables of cognitive flexibility of planning, behavioral disengagement, denial, and humor predicted the dependent variable of cognitive flexibility and the variance was 12%. This research aims to examine teachers' life satisfaction level and their loneliness at workplace according to some variables. It also aims to find out predictive role and its level of teachers' loneliness at workplace on their life satisfaction. Research is carried out in accordance with relational screening model and 402 primary school teachers who are working in Ankara during 2012-2013 academic year and selected from 35 primary schools by use of disproportionate cluster sampling method constitutes the sample of the research. The data is collected with ''the scales of loneliness at workplace and life satisfaction'' and tested by making use of multiple regression technique. The differentiation levels in terms of teachers' life satisfaction and their loneliness at workplace, their sexes, marital status, attendance to concerted social activities out of school and union membership are analysed using T test. Research findings indicate that while there is not a significant difference between teachers' loneliness level at workplace with respect to marital status in the dimension of emotional deprivation, there is a meaningful diffrence in the dimension of social friendship. Single teachers feel themselves lonelier at workplace than married ones in social friendship dimension. According to marital status variable, life satisfaction levels show significant difference in favor of married teachers. Moreover, between the points of teachers' life satisfaction and the points of their loneliness at workplace in the dimensions of emotional deprivation and social friendship, there is meaningful negative way relationship. It is also inferred that there is a meaningful opposite relationship between emotional deprivation dimension of teachers' loneliness at workplace and social friendship dimension of their life satisfaction.

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between job performance and job satisfaction of individuals working in the sports industry. The sample of the study consisted of 423 people (317 males and 106 females), who work in the sports industry in Istanbul and selected by purposeful sampling method. In the study, in addition to the personal information form, the “Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale” developed by Weiss et al. (1967) and adapted to Turkish by Baycan (1985), the “Job Performance Scale” developed by Kirkman and Rosen (1999) to determine the job performance of employees and adapted to Turkish by Çöl (2008) were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, independent t-test, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation analyses were performed. The results of the analysis determined that individuals did not differ according to their gender in both their job satisfaction levels and their job performance. It was determined that there was a significant difference in the “External Satisfaction” sub-dimension of the job satisfaction scale according to marital status, and there was a statistical difference in the “Internal Satisfaction” and “External Satisfaction” sub-dimensions of the job satisfaction scale according to the working hours of the participants in the workplace. Moreover, it was determined that there was no significant difference according to the marital status of the participants and the duration of their work. Finally, it was determined that there was a positive and low-level relationship between the sub-dimensions of the job satisfaction scale and the job performance scale. As a result, it was determined that the job satisfaction and job performance levels of the individuals differed according to their socio-demographic characteristics, and the higher their job satisfaction, the higher their job performance.

Background and Aim: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the attitudes of students of the faculty of sports sciences to play digital games. Method: The study group consisted of a total of 141 students, 33.3% of whom were female (n: 47) and 66.7% (n: 94) male, who were studying at Gazi University Faculty of Sport Sciences. The mean age of the students participating in the research was found to be X̄Age= 21.69 ± 3.08. In order to collect data, "Personal Information Form" and "Digital Game Playing Attitude Scale" developed by Demir and Bozkurt (2019) were used. The data obtained from the study were analyzed using SPSS 22 package program. Before starting the analysis process, it was tested whether the data provided the normality assumption or not and the data supported the normality assumption. In the analysis of the data, "T-test for Independent Samples" was used for paired comparisons and "one-way ANOVA" was used for comparisons with more than two groups. Results: In the light of the findings obtained from the study, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between the attitudes of students of sports sciences faculty towards, playing digital games, gender and duration of playing digital games and physical activity time whereas no significant difference was found according to department and class variables. Conclusion: As a result, it was found that the students' digital game playing attitudes were medium level (X̄=53.95). ​Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.   Özet Giriş ve Amaç: Bu araştırmada, spor bilimleri fakültesi öğrencilerinin dijital oyun oynama tutumlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırma grubunu, Gazi Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğrenim gören %33,3’ü kadın (n: 47), %66,7’si (n: 94) erkek olmak üzere toplamda 141 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması X̄Yaş=21,69±3,08 olarak tespit edilmiştir.  Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla, Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile Demir ve Bozkurt (2019)  tarafından geliştirilen “Dijital Oyun Oynama Tutumu Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler SPSS 22 istatistik programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz işlemine geçilmeden önce verilerin normallik varsayımını sağlayıp sağlamadığı sınanmış, verilerin normallik varsayımını desteklediği görülmüştür. Verilerin analizinde, ikili karşılaştırmalar için “Bağımsız Örneklemler için T-testi” ve ikiden fazla grubun bulunduğu karşılaştırmalarda ise “Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi” testinden faydalanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular ışığında, spor bilimleri fakültesi öğrencilerinin dijital oyun oynamaya yönelik tutumlarıyla cinsiyet, dijital oyun oynama süresi ve fiziksel aktivite süresi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık olduğu, bölüm ve sınıf değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık görülmediği anlaşılmıştır. Tartışma ve Sonuç:  Sonuç olarak, öğrencilerin dijital oyun oynama tutumlarını sergileme puanlarının orta düzeyde (X̄=53,95) olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
