This research conducted a survey to examine the impact of procedural justice on turnover intention through mediation of organizational trust. The study is based on a sample of 141 faculty members of the public and private sector universities of twin cities of Pakistan who completed structured questionnaires for each variable. Data were analyzed using SPSS and results revealed that procedural justice has negative and significant effect on turnover intentions of employees. Furthermore, organizational trust successfully mediates the relationship between Procedural justice and Turnover intention. We conclude study, discuss theoretical implications and also provide future recommendations.

This study investigates the impact of passive leadership on organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intentions with the mediating effect of organizational interpersonal trust. Data has been collected from a sample of 180 working at managerial levels in public and private sector universities based in Islamabad. Findings of the current study confirms that passive leadership is negatively associated with organizational citizenship behavior and employee turnover intentions and the mediating role of organizational interpersonal trust confirms the partial mediation between these relationships. The study provided with new insights into the body of knowledge and also provided with practical implications. Limitations of the current study along with the future directions of research also discussed at the end.

Researchers have hypothesized that there is a significant difference in the degree of Organizational commitment in Public and Private Universities. This was tested in the Public and Private University system to ascertain the veracity of this hypothesis. Data were collected from 150 employees consisting of academic and Administrative and technical staff from both the public Universities and the Private Universities. The results revealed that employees in Public Universities have greater degree of organizational commitment in comparison to Private Universities. Also, job satisfaction increases or decreases based on increase or decrease in organizational commitment. Obtained results were in the line of the hypotheses. In terms of organizational commitment; a significant difference was noticed between Public and Private Universities. Against expectation, employees of Public Universities exhibited higher degree of organizational commitment as compared to those of Private Universities. Most importantly, organizational commitment is being proven as the catalyst for enhancing job satisfaction level of employees.   Keywords: Organization’s Goals, Performance, Effectiveness, Leadership Styles, Trust within the Organization, Employment Status, Training, Turnover Intentions.

Privatization refers to the public shares and Assets which are sold to the private sector in the economy. It decreases the power of government control and creates the other policies method. Privatization leads to cutting short the capital and revenue expenditure, which leads to an increase in share value in the market. During the pre-privatization period, the government used to pay less amounts of dividends to its shareholders due to its complex cost structure. Privatization leads to cutting short the capital and revenue expenditure, which leads to an increase in share value in the market. It also gave information about Public and Private sector banks. Our objective is to compare the pre and post-privatization performance like other banks of developing countries shows that privatization resulted in significant gains in profitability and efficiency. To evaluate the impact of privatization in the Indian banking sector and the relationship between privatization and Indian Economic growth by using a case study of IDBI bank condition of Indian private sector banks is analyzed using the financial statement of IDBI Bank with the help of different research methodologies.

The voluntary turnover rate of qualified professionals is both a critical issue and a priority issue that affects organizations in different ways. The construction industry has a set of very specific and unique characteristics that demarcates it from all other sectors. This situation is related with strong precariousness and employee turnover, as well as the extensive practice of subcontracting. Furthermore, the construction sector, with its project-based production, is more vulnerable to voluntary turnover intention. Therefore, we aimed, in this study, to determine the key factors that contribute to the voluntary turnover intentions of qualified construction professionals. In this paper, the impact of individual-level value orientations on turnover intention in the construction settings, focusing on the mediating effect of external prestige and organizational identification, are investigated. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is employed to estimate the causal relationships between the turnover intention and other research variables. The analyses are based on questionnaire responses from 441 construction professionals living in Istanbul. The findings indicate that an individual difference in the self-construal is related to turnover intention indirectly by virtue of employees’ perceptions of organizational prestige. Organizational identification also partially mediated the relationship between the self-construal and the turnover intention.

In the context of the economic crisis, the consumers´ behavior registered changes, so tourists have become highly price sensitive and tending to economize on the duration of their holidays. Starting with the changes generated by the economic crisis, the need to achieve a new economic level is felt both in the public sector through the development and consolidation of new public policies and also in the private sector through the involvement into solid plans, with adapted initiatives. The purpose of this paper is to capture the impact of the public and private sectors involvement on the Travel& Tourism (T& T) demand during the current economic crisis, the period 2008-2010. As design, the content is divided into three main parts, as follows: the perspectives of public and private sector on T& T industry, the impact of the economic crisis on T& T, and the econometric analysis which is concentrated on the connection between the T& T demand and some potential variables with impact on it. The methodology refers mainly to the econometric analysis, constructed in concordance with the findings of the paper. In order to test the link between the variables, the author uses the macroeconomic approach, by including into analysis the European Union member countries. Regarding originality, the paper reveals the positive influence, as real growth, of the T& T Direct Industry in GDP and the capital investment in T& T on the T& T demand.

Drawing on a sample of 212 supervisor-subordinate dyads from 3 branches of an air transportation group in the People's Republic of China, we examined the mediating effect of organizational identification on the relationship between perceived procedural justice and work outcomes, including extrarole behavior and turnover intention. Results showed that organizational identification fully mediated the relationship between procedural justice and extrarole behavior as well as that between procedural justice and turnover intention. Implications for future research and limitations of the present findings are discussed.

This paper approaches the evolution of the final consumption recorded at the level of Albanian economy. According to statistical methodology the public and private consumption are two of the components of the final consumption. The main variable of our study is final consumption, which is set to be influenced by at least two independent variables, such as public and private consumption. Lately, Albanian economy has been presented with a new and different macro economic policy, a new form of partnership of investments between public and private sector. We are highly interested in the impact of these changes on final consumption .The correlation between the main parameter and its influence factors is analyzed through a regression model. Eviews is the software that the data will be processed under standard methods. The model and the results are part of the paper. To be emphasized is that the reliability of the multiple regression model does not exclude the possibility to analyze the single correlation between the parameters, in parallel.

The growing popularity of Internet-based technology in both the public and private sector has led to a disparity known as the digital divide. The digital divide is described as the gap between those who have access to the Internet and other Internet-based technologies and those who do not (Wattal, Hong, Mandviwalla, & Jain, 2011). J. van Dijk (1999) outlines the digital divide as four types of access barriers: material, psychological, skills, and usage. This chapter reviews the four types of access divides and uses prospect theory as a means to highlight the impact of computer anxiety and computer self-efficacy on psychological access. Suggestions for future research are provided.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to use conservation of resources (COR) theory as a lens for comparing the impact of line management on Bangladeshi public and private nurses’ perception of work harassment, well-being and turnover intentions where Anglo-American and European management models have been super-imposed on an existing different culture. Design/methodology/approach Survey data were collected from 317 Bangladeshi nurses’ (131 from the public sector and 186 from the private sector). Structural equation modelling was used for analysis. Findings High work harassment was associated with low-being, and together with management practices, it explained approximately a quarter of private sector nurses’ well-being. In total, management, work harassment and employee well-being explained approximately a third of the turnover intentions of public sector nurses, whereas only work harassment explained approximately a third of private sector nurses’ turnover intentions. The findings suggest a differential impact of management on work harassment across the public and private sector. Research limitations/implications Cross-sectional data are susceptible to common method bias. A common latent factor was included, and several items that were explained by common method variance were controlled. Further, the findings are limited by the sample size from one sector and the use of only one developing country. Practical implications It is a waste of resources to transplant Anglo-American and European management models to developing countries without understanding the impact on nurses’ outcomes. Originality/value Anglo-American and European management models are not easily transferable to the Bangladesh context probably because of the impact of ties and corruption. Line management is a positive resource that builds employee well-being for public sector employees only.
