With increase in power demand over the last few decades, there has been a great expansion in power generation & transmission. But due to various disturbances, improper loading and environmental conditions the power systems are working near their stability limits which have become a power-transfer limiting factor. This in turn poses a threat to the stability of the system. Transient stability has been considered as one of the most important stability for a power system. In this paper Static VAR Compensator (SVC) has been discussed for reactive power control and hence improvement of transient stability and voltage profile. This paper incorporates IEEE-9 BUS test system with SVC controller using MATLAB Simulation.

The rate of maternal mortality of Bangladesh is increasing day by day. Among many reasons early marriage, unplanned impregnation or lack of antenatal care are the major causes of those maternal deaths. Antenatal care is significantly effective for the mother and their newborns during pregnancy period especially from severe bleeding, high blood pressures, infections or complications during delivery. Several researches have conducted in various countries about the antenatal care service factors affecting pregnant women during pregnancy period but have not been organized information collectively. Hence, further research need to accomplish a literature review for finding organized information about the antenatal care service factors affecting pregnant women in Bangladesh. This is a descriptive analysis based on the information extracted from different literature review, primary and secondary data sources by using a specific methodology. The study found that 60.87 percent pregnant women have adequate information about the ANC services and 39.13 percent have partial knowledge about the ANC services. The major outcomes of this special review study might help the respective authorities and interested groups to make plan and improvement existing approaches for application of ANC factors affecting pregnant women in Bangladesh.

The project statement is to optimize the heat transfer in a compact heat recovery unit (Heat Recovery and Emission Control Equipment - HREC) using CFD with application in day to day life. In general, the outgoing exhaust gasses are released to atmosphere at over temperature of the dew point of water vapor in waste gases. Recovering a portion of the waste heat enhances the efficiency of the equipment and as well reduce the emissions providing energy savings and green environment. In this study, the potential of recovering waste heat emitted by any heat generation units in common day to day life and in industry is considered. The Heat Recovery and Emission Control Equipment (HREC) acts an intermediate unit at the exit of hot gas generation unit & feed water heating unit. As a result of the calculation, it was determined that recovery of the waste heat can be employed at many applications as like as a combustion air preheater by means of a recuperator.

Zeolites NaA is one of the most valuable synthetic zeolites widely used as ion-exchange material, catalysts, and adsorbents in industry. There is therefore need to adopt a more energy-efficient route for its synthesis from low-cost and sustainable raw materials. In this present work, zeolites Na-A was synthesized from natural kaolinite clays obtained from three selected regions (Ikere, Okpella and Kankara) in Nigeria. The as-received kaolinite clays (IKclay, OKclay and KAclay) were initially beneficiated thoroughly to obtain pure powders (˂75 μm). The processed kaolinite clay powders were then subjected to heating in a muffle furnace at 850oC for 3 h at a heating rate of 10oC/min to convert the kaolinite clays to their respective metakaolins. The obtained metakaolins were then reacted with NaOH solutions at varying concentrations of 3.0 and 4.0M respectively using a low temperature hydrothermal transformation to obtained Zeolites Na-A powders. The obtained zeolites were then analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The results showed that zeolite NaA is produced with mixture of hydroxysodalite (HS) while the EDS revealed the presence of Si, Al, O and Na indicating chemical constituents of typical zeolite NaA. All the tested kaolinite clays are therefore suitable for preparation of zeolite NaA as cheaper source of silica and aluminum.

Mangoes are naturally very rich subtropical fruit with unique flavor, fragrance, taste and health promoting compounds like phytochemicals which consists of carotenoids, phenolic, alkaloids, nitrogen containing compounds and organo sulphur. Out of which carotenoids and phenolic are most important healthy ingredients. The different cultivars popularly available in Bihar are – Amrapali, Maldah, Jardalu and Sinduri. Amrapali and Maldah cultivars are very popular in North Bihar as well as Central Bihar while Jardalu is famous particularly in Bhagalpur (Vikramshila region). Sinduri cultivar of mango is common in South Bihar. All the four cultivars of mango were collected and investigated for carotenoids, phenolics, reducing sugar and other parameters in the peels and pulps of green mature (GM) stage and fully ripe (FR) stages of all the cultivars. Carotenoids contents and phenolic contents in all the four cultivars of mangoes were analyzed by solvent extraction method followed by spectrophotometric method. Among the different mango cultivars Amrapali contains the highest amount of carotenoids which is about 27 mg/100g followed by Maldah containing about 22.34 mg/100g. Jardalu and Sinduri cultivars contains 20.45 mg/100g and 21.67 mg/100g respectively. With respect to total phenolic again Amrapali cultivar is found to be the richest with 78mg GAE/100g in its peel. Maldah and Jardalu have almost the same content of phenolics with 40; 44 mg GAE/100 g and 300; 305.49 mg GAE/100g of their pulp and peels respectively. The Sinduri cultivar has been found to possess the lowest content of total phenolics with 30.29 mg GAE/100 g and 269.85 mg GAE/100 g of its pulp and peels respectively. For all the cultivars peels were found with greater contents of phenolics than that of pulp but for Amrapali and Maldah the carotenoids content were found less in their peels than their pulp, but for the rest two varieties the carotenoids content is slightly greater in peels than pulp.
