The development of information technology and the progress of the educational information process provide technical support for the construction of a distance learning environment for learning English. Online teaching mode is a new thing for people, and it is more and more accepted by people familiar with it. We summarize and analyze the texts of short messages generated by students’ online learning, so as to fully understand students, make effective adjustments to the classroom, guide teachers’ teaching practices, optimize the classroom, and improve students’ learning, practical, and innovative abilities, in order to study the effect of online teaching on improving the ability and skills of learning English efficiently. This paper builds wireless distance teaching based on the English learning system of mobile edge computing and uses the method of case analysis and literature analysis to collect data from the database. A model was built based on online teaching, and a large number of relevant documents were read and analyzed through the literature survey method. The results of the study show that online teaching can effectively improve students’ oral and reading abilities. Students’ oral and reading abilities are about 30% higher than traditional teaching methods, and the awareness of cooperation among students has also increased by 80% compared to before, which solves the problem of popularization and improvement. The contradiction and the resolution of polarization and the transformation of underachievers, so that students’ personalities can be brought into full play and development, and college education will be on the track of quality education. This shows that the wireless long-distance teaching environment constructed by the English learning system based on mobile edge computing can play an excellent role in improving English ability.

The world has seen a rapid development in mobile devices in recent years. Mobile devices have the advantage of immediacy and convenience. Their uses are not restricted to desktops and classrooms. Many assisted learning systems run on mobile devices. These systems give students the opportunity to learn anytime and anywhere. Language learning is one of the key research issues underlying the development of such systems. There are many ways to use mobile devices to teaching English. This includes the use of pictured flash card to learn English vocabulary, a teaching approach that has been shown to be effective. In the current research, an assisted learning system was developed for learning English vocabulary. It combines pictured flash cards with stories. The goal was to see whether the addition of stories to pictured flash cards for learning English vocabulary could have a significant effect on learning motivation, learning achievement, and anxiety. As the result of an associated educational experiment showed, students generally agreed with the use of such a system to help them learn English vocabulary, and they also made use of leisure time to learn. Compared to students using “plain” pictured flash card for learning, students using pictured flash cards with stories had a significantly lower level of anxiety, and they also learn better as far as learning motivation and achievement were concerned.

This research is to find out what problems faced by students when learning English through E-Learning which is identified through a questionnaire distributed via Google forms to the students. The sample of this research was 86 students of the third-grade students of SMP Katolik 1 WR. In this study, the researcher computed the data used frequency distribution analysis to determine the percentage of the tendency of student's problems in internal or external factors when using e-learning in English learning. Both in terms of internal and external factors, each part is interrelated. The problem that happened with the teachers, then to the students, and eventually impacts the learning system which makes ineffective e-learning in the school, they are affecting each other and create a domino effect.

To improve the students’ individualized and autonomous learning ability in English teaching, a mobile English learning system is designed on the basis of adaptive algorithm. The students’ need for the adaptive mobile English teaching system is analyzed through researches on students and questionnaires. According to the needs analysis, the main functional modules of the adaptive mobile English learning system are designed, including the creation module, personalized learning module, evaluation and feedback module, and management module. Then, the improved XAHM (XML adaptive hypermedia model) is applied to the mobile English learning system. The three-layer architecture of the English mobile learning system is revised into four layers of composition layer, data layer, business logic layer and presentation layer. At the same time, more attention is diverted to the terminal and the situation. Finally, the system is tested. The test results showed that the mobile English learning system realized the self-adaptive and intelligent navigation of learning space in the course of teaching. It is concluded that the new adaptive algorithm had a good performance for college English learning.

The question of the specifics of modern distance learning remains one of the most pressing issues, especially in today's world affected by global virus pandemic. We consider the study of the use of modern educational technologies in English lexis and grammar distance learning relevant and timely. The purpose of the article is to characterize popular current educational technologies and their possibilities in distance learning of English lexical and grammatical structures, to define five most perspective online services for pupils of general secondary education institutions. Methods. The author implements the purpose with the help of theoretical (analysis and synthesis of own experience and of domestic scientists concerning the use of existing educational innovative computer technologies in English learning) and empirical research methods (observation of the educational process), together with the elements of statistical (analysis of student survey results). The results. Considering student survey results, the author’s experience, the article names and characterizes 43 modern online educational technologies in English learning, they online platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, Skype, Nz.ua, ClassDojo, Moodl), online services (Google Drive, Padlet, Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, Kahoot!, Grammarly, Quizlet, Quizizz, Plickers, Socrative, Hot Potatoes, LinguaLeo, ToonDoo, Classtime, Lang-8, Сoursera, LearnEnglish, BBC Learning English, British Council LearnEnglish, Tandem, Enpodcast, Bussu), mobile apps (Memrise, Rosetta Stone, Babbel, FluentU, MindSnacks, Open Language, Mosalingua, Messenger, Telegram, Viber, WhatsАрp), virtual whiteboard (Paint, Google Slides, Bitpaper.io). The article suggests grouping these technologies according to 7 purposes of use (to conduct online English lessons in real time; to create virtual classes, lessons and tasks; to send tasks and communicate; online services for learning English vocabulary and grammar; to use a virtual board; to store works and materials of pupils; to assess and control English language skills). Conclusions. The benefit of the study is that the possibilities of online services in distance learning of English lexical and grammatical structures have been emphasized, and five the most perspective for pupils of general secondary education institutions have been defined as Moodle, Google Classroom, Google Forms, Kahoot!, Zoom.
