In this article, we look at the genre of the manifesto and its possible uses in high school. First, we point out some basic characteristics of this type of text and link them to the idea of a “form of rebellion”. Second, we make a connection between teaching literature in school with teaching the literary events and facts as part of the so-called literary narrative, i.e., putting the phenomena into the larger framework of what is happening in the cultural context of the observed period. we propose a possible way of teaching the manifesto, based on an example of the aesthetico-theoretical work of Geo Milev, having in mind that the author has texts with the characteristics of a manifesto, not complete manifestos.

The article summarises the preliminary results of a three-stage study of the influence of the socio-cultural context on the life and educational manifestations of modern high school students. Firstly, data on the Russian representatives of «Generation Z» were specified. At the second stage of the research, the manifestations of «Generation Z» representatives, regarding everyday school life were studied. At the third stage of the research, there were analysed different educational learning situations as opportunities for senior students to show the behavioural and intellectual characteristics inherent in the digital generation. The main results of the study make it possible to set new tasks in the study of the socio-cultural context of the educational situation of modern high school students.

The vocational training in agricultural and technical High School should be provided and organized in a systematic, rational, effective ways. The integration of Ukrainian High School in European education considers the training of a universal specialist competent both in theoretical study and practical application of farming and engineering. The first attempts have already been done: dual education projects are encouraged by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. The paper reports on teaching Physics through the implementation of profession based elements. Therefore, the aims of this paper are threefold: (1) to characterize the scientific knowledge in connecting theoretical and practical areas of study, to determine the basic characteristics according to standardized training programme future specialists in agriculture and engineering should have, (2) to develop the strategies for integrating the profession-based approach to teaching academic disciplines on the basis of the pedagogical experiment that involved 176 student-respondents and 41 teacher-respondents and (3) to create integrated curriculum, profession-based lecture samples and problem book in Physics for students majoring in Power Engineering in Agricultural Complex. The survey was carried out on the basis of the State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podillia, Lviv National Agrarian University and Nizhyn Agricultural University. To gain evidence about the effectiveness of implementation of profession-based material in Physics course in vocational training of future power engineers we used specially designed questionnaires, interviews and observation of behaviour. The results of the study proved that the use of profession-based material promotes the formation of student natural knowledge, as well as a wide range of practical skills and abilities. Providing the professional competence in training stimulates cognitive interest in t studying Physics as a science, helps to absorb material from other science disciplines, to develop their cognitive and creative abilities and to influence on the formation of persistent motifs to obtain knowledge from special disciplines.

One of the most difficult problems faced by every teacher, new or experienced, is that of getting a class started at the outset of a term. This problem is even more difficult when one faces a nonacademic group of students with their all-too-frequent hostility toward mathematics. This problem manifests itself especially in the ninth grade, where many students enter the course with a dislike built up by eight years of failure in the elementary and junior high school grades. Before offering some concrete suggestions for handling the situation, it is advisable to examine these youths and determine their basic characteristics and needs.

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effects of Differentiated Instruction on Catigbian National High School Grade 10 students’ literary competence. Approach/Methodology/Design: To attain that purpose, the researcher adopted the experimental design involving two groups of participants. The experimental group was exposed to Differentiated Instruction while the control group was exposed to the traditional method of teaching. The researcher used the Cognitive Domain Test to assess the students’ intelligence and researcher-made questions to measure their literary competence. The results were statistically analyzed using the T-test means for independent samples Findings:  The findings of the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores achieved by the experimental group and those attained by the control group in the literary test. It is concluded that the use of DI is effective considering the higher scores of the experimental group compared to the control group. Practical Implication: The study will contribute to the effectiveness of teaching literature by integrating Differentiated Instruction; hence, it will develop students’ literary competence. In addition, additional research is ought to be conducted to explore the effect of the use of Differentiated Instruction on the different language skills. Originality/value: This study innovates by experimenting with the effect of integrating Differentiated Instruction in teaching literature in Catigbian National High School, Bohol. Moreover, an action plan is proposed to enhance students’ literary competence.

This study aimed to examine comprehensively the effect of the application of REACT learning models based on the Malay cultural context of Riau on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. The research was a quasi-experimental research with Pretest-post-test control group design. The sample of this study was all students of class VII SMP 12 Pekanbaru. The results of data analysis were: (1) There was a difference of the mathematical problem-solving ability of Pekanbaru junior high school students between who learned to use REACT learning models based on the Malay cultural context of Riau and students who studied with conventional learning; (2) There was a difference of the mathematical problem-solving ability of Pekanbaru junior high school students between who learned to use REACT learning models based on the Malay cultural context of Riau and students who studied with conventional learning in terms of aspects of student ability levels, (3) There was no interaction between the learning model and the level of students’ ability to the ability to solve mathematical problems; (4) There was a difference in the mathematical problem-solving ability of Pekanbaru junior high school students who learned to use the REACT learning model based on the Malay Malay cultural context in terms of aspects of student ability levels.

The article discusses examples of the differential equation problem in Python with a graph for high school students. The basic characteristics of some tools for solving problems in mathematics using information technology are given. The difference between the two modern-known computer programs Python and Pascal is briefly explained. The article uses illustrative examples of built-in and manually entered functions that can be repeated by readers in Python to recreate graphs of trigonometric, differential, and other functions. In conclusion, it describes how the program can save time and energy for solving graphic problems in mathematics using the Python program. The article concludes that it is important for students to use logic to solve problems with improvised tools, where there are built-in functions, compared to remembering programming language algorithms for solving problems.

This study aims to describe the practicality of a comic-illustrated junior high school mathematics textbook with the Jambi cultural context that has been developed. The type of research carried out is development research using the ADDIE model which focuses on the practicality of the product. The research subject to see the practicality of this product is seen from the responses of 2 teachers and 12 students. The research instrument consisted of individual test mathematics textbook practicality sheets (Teacher Response Questionnaire), and small group mathematics textbook practicality sheets (student response questionnaire). Suggestions and comments on teacher and student questionnaire responses to junior high school mathematics textbooks were analyzed descriptively, while data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of this study indicate that the trial is limited to 2 junior high school mathematics textbook teachers with Jambi cultural context comics who meet the practice criteria, with an average score proportion of 77.50%. While the results of the trial were limited to 12 students (student responses perception questionnaire) meeting the very practical criteria with an average percentage of 86.27%. So it can be said that the product in the form of a junior high school mathematics textbook with comics in the context of Jambi culture meets the practical criteria and is feasible to apply.
