The COVID-19 pandemic imposed a quick introduction of distance learning for many students. In Bulgaria, the Ministry of Education and Science obliged schools to work synchronously with their pupils using video conference rooms. After the easing of the containment measures, regular classroom education was restored. However, the problems with quarantined students persisted. School principals had to solve new organizational challenges. The hardest and most frequent issue was the split of a given class into students present in school, and students learning online. The article introduces an organizational model of a hybrid classroom where teaching is carried out in a physical and an online classroom at the same time. The authors describe their experience with specific hardware and software used for the first time in Bulgaria for educational purposes. They also show their experience with the organization of traineeships for university students as primary school IT teachers using a hybrid classroom.

As the student’s dependence on himself and his parents, and in light of the results of the study, the researcher made several recommendations for the need to conduct more studies and research Related to the educational reality and its transformations in light of the Corona pandemic at other age and educational stages, and the need to think of solutions to students’ problems resulting from their confinement to educational platforms and their lack of mixing with their peers.

Concerns about women educational leaders, their performance within primary schools, their approaches to leadership, including the hindrances experienced in the school headship have received few if any attention in Côte d’Ivoire. This paper analyses how women principals lead their schools and contributed to schools’ advancement in challenging situations that stand in their ways. The authors used a qualitative approach to collect data through in-depth semi-structural interviews with five female principals in Ivorian elementary schools. Findings showed that women influence directly teachers’ commitment and indirectly students’ learning process as well, particularly those who have learning difficulties. Data also revealed that these female used to create an environment and academic support that gives attention to children, as these learning conditions are similar to that of their actual life at home. Based on the findings, we assumed that women leadership could be a significant contribution to students’ learning course, which in turn positively influence the school improvement. That is even consistent with the literature, which remains constant in the assertion that women leaders own some abilities, such as being caring, attentive, patient. In this regard, educational practitioners, policy makers and stakeholders should pay more attention to women primary school principals for empowering them to display their know-how, expertise and talent useful for the students’ learning process. That seems a possible backup for Ivorian education system to reduce the low academic achievement and enhance schools’ performance.

The purpose of this study is an attempt to define the lithosphere concept, as described in the textbook “Geology-Geography” of the 1st Grade of junior highschool. Further we investigate whether the objectives of the corresponding chapter are being implemented according to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education. The main research hypothesis concentrates on the very limited cognitive background of the students regarding the lithosphere. It is based on the absence of a wellorganized framework of proportional and gradually increased and specialized flow of knowledge, as suggest the few generalised concepts on the subject of Geography taught on the 5th and 6th grade of the Primary School. According to the Curriculum of the “Geology–Geography” of the Ministry of Education, the lithosphere chapter requires fifteen didactic hours for a sum of nine complexes, mostly cognitive objectives. However, the textbook contains only five didactic hours, an indicator of an asymmetric state of the Curriculum. Our opinion about curriculum content itself, which describes the lithosphere, compared to the strictly scientific definition, is that it represents a simplistic approach and consequently the materialization of the cognitive goals is doubtful.

Phenomenological study design was chosen in this qualitative research. Participants were selected according to maximum variation sampling which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. Data were collected from 11 school principals and 14 teachers via semi-structured interview forms in Tokat city center. Data were analyzed according to descriptive analyzing technique. According to the results obtained in the study, participants stated that the purpose of current performance evaluation is the evaluation of teachers and to support their professional development. About the new application’s access to the purposes, while many of the teachers reported that the system could not achieve its goals, most of the school principals stated that the system would reach the goals with some shortcomings. Participants criticized the system for fast coming up and implementation. Participants stated that school principals were not qualified for this system. The most important strength of the system was defined as the teacher’s close awareness of the school principals. According to teachers’ views about the weaknesses of the system; the impact of conflicts or prejudices affecting school, school principals’ failure to take into account the criteria list, the existence of biased behaviors, the fact that principals were not educated in supervision, erroneous or incomplete practices in branch-specific evaluations, the deterioration of organizational peace. The majority of school principals reported that the applied system could contribute to the professional development of teachers, while the majority of teachers thought that the system would make a limited contribution. A two-day seminar was held with the school principals while training for teachers was not arranged by the Ministry of Education prior to the performance evaluation process.
