For a start, the present study tackles the language of affection in the Qur’an and its role in managing unhealthy personality. Primarily, it provides a full-scale model for programming unhealthy mindsets. The model uses linguistic and neurological tools in the process of analysis. Affectional language is a case in point that shows how language, emotions, and cognition interact to reflect each other. The study highlights the effective role of affectional language in shaping minds. In the same vein, a typical example for the neurological programming process is the Qur’anic representation of the attitudes of some believers at the time of the Prophet Muħammad (PBUH) after a specific battle. This representation reports the initial reaction of the believers which is emotionally shaped. Also, it helps in making proper reactions which are shaped according to the normal pathways of thinking. The process of shaping cognition is carried out according to specific neurological strategies that include the proper process of sensation, retrieval of the previous experience, neuroplasticity, and acceptance. Also, these strategies include self-compassion and compassion for others. Adding to its motivational role in the promotion of forgiveness, it plays the same motivational role for doing justice. Accordingly, the study concludes that the discourse of affection plays an effective role in shutting the door on any potential sign of the hurt-perceived and the righteous indignation reactions. Furthermore, it combats radicalism and extremism in a way that ends all forms of violence.

The role of women in peacebuilding efforts has been recognized through various international instruments that have advanced the ability of women to access the peace table. In order for women to act as leaders, they must possess the capacity to disrupt structural, cultural, and direct forms of violence, engage in peacemaking activities, and employ prevention strategies for sustainable peace to be secured. This paper draws on qualitative research on a leadership program called Women of Integrity, Strength, and Hope (WISH) offered at the Daraja Academy, an all-girls boarding school in Kenya. The case study is situated within the larger global context of the women’s peace movement galvanized by the United Nations to highlight the potential role women may offer as peacebuilders. The WISH program engages Kenyan girls through critical peace education pedagogy to enhance capabilities required for future female architects of sustainable peace in Kenya and in the world.

This paper discusses the main findings of a study on interethnic violence carried out in the school environment in Slovenia. It examines the occurrence and perception of different forms of violence and the role of educators and the commitment of schools to promote nonviolence and the wellbeing of pupils, which is reached mainly by applying principles of intercultural education. The quantitative and qualitative findings take three perspectives into account: (1) pupils? opinions and experiences, (2) perceptions of educators and (3) perspectives of experts in the area of (interethnic) peer violence. Special emphasis is placed on the informants? perceptions of the school environment, their experiences of interethnic violence and interventions in cases of violence in schools aimed at its prevention. The paper argues that despite the general acceptance of principles of intercultural education in Slovenian schools and the recurrent self-initiatives of individual educators, a coordinated and integrated approach is needed both for dealing with (interethnic) violence and for promulgating values of intercultural coexistence in schools.

Judicial organ is one of the three organs of the state of Pakistan. It plays important role in Constitutional machinery by performing its functions like interpreting laws and keeping an eye over the laws made by legislature that they are according to the injunctions of Islam or not and whether these laws are implemented properly by the executive or not. Judicial activism refers to the judicial rulings based on personal views rather than on existing law. The research is based on the questions like, is Judiciary playing effective role in Pakistan? What is the role of judiciary in Musharaf’s regime? Did judicial organ work in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 in Musharaf’s regime? The conflict between president Musharaf and Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry on March 9, 2007 when the Iftikhar Chaudhry refused to move under the pressure of the former to resign as Chief Justice. This led to the frontal attack by Musharaf against the judiciary on November 3, 2007 in the grab of unconstitutional emergency and PCO. In terms of judicial crisis and lawyers’ movement, the resistance offered by a large portion of the judiciary from March 9, 2007 onwards supported by the lawyers’ fraternity was a step toward change in favor of an independent judiciary in the future.

The notion of stakeholders is becoming increasingly significant in heritage management activities and planning. It is commonly argued that individuals, groups, organizations, environs, societies, institutions, and even the natural environment can be potential stakeholders. However, most of the case heritage sites are impacted and concerned by particular stakeholders such as the local community, regional government, and NGOs. Every project has stakeholders who can influence or be influenced by the project in a positive or negative manner.  Mahasthangarh and its environs are a potential heritage site of South Asia that helps understand the chronological history and cultural development of Bengal Civilization. Like many other heritage sites in Bangladesh, Mahasthangarh faces serious threats and challenges which are damaging and waning its outstanding universal value of tangible and intangible heritage. Since site managers involve potential key stakeholders to enhance the sustainable heritage management, planning, reduce the possibility of conflict, increase the stakeholders’ ownership through regular communication, raising awareness, educational activities, and building campaigns, and to augment the community’s trust in heritage management; without the effective role of stakeholders, the outcomes are precarious and can be catastrophic. The paper will demonstrate the possibilities of using the roles of stakeholders as potential tools for safeguarding and managing the heritage site by using Mahasthangarh and its environs as a case study.

An effective role of a detached breakwater as a coastal protection structure leads to morphological evolutions of tombolo. This paper presents the application of process based model of XBeach to investigate the morphological tombolo evolution using the model domain from the previous case study. Sensitivity analysis with optimum model parameters such as facua 0.1, Chezy coefficient 60, directional energy distribution, dtheta 10 and morfac 100 is conducted and the model results are compared to the empirical models. At 50 and 75 days simulation time, XBeach model results for breakwater at distance 120 m, 150 m, 200 m and 300 m offshore forms tombolo and salient at a distance of 500 m from the shoreline. Numerical investigation of tombolo through XBeach model has given us an understanding on the morphological effects of breakwater offshore distance towards evolution of coastal features like tombolo and salient.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to seek to develop a rigorous analysis of social capabilities (SC) and measuring them in a special industrial cluster, considering the key role of knowledge and SC in innovation. Design/methodology/approach – The paper sets off from the definition of SC and the elements that characterize them in an industrial cluster. The focus also examines how it is possible to measure SC within a specific area, using the scoreboard approach. The empirical aspect remains based upon the original results of surveys conducted on a sample of entrepreneurs specializing in a special industrial cluster utilizing a multi-method approach and the paper presents the empirical analysis estimating an innovation equation. Findings – The results of the case study show that the relationship between SC and innovation does not only involve large enterprises but small- and medium-sized businesses as well. Originality/value – Measuring SC is very complex since not all the highlighted determinants can be subject to empirical verification and given that they are intangible elements, residual and often incorporated into tacit knowledge and a literature that can help us in defining and measuring them accurately is not always available for all the indicators. In this research the author proposes a measure of SC using a composite indicator and investigates the effective role of these inputs in stimulating innovative activity in an industrial cluster performance.
