There are various studies concerning the present situation of the phenomenon of educational music, which dates back to the early years of the Republic i.e. which emerged 90 years ago, the problems in the area, and solutions to these problems as well as the concept of “educational music” which is used to define the songs that are part of music education. The objective of the present study is to evaluate the area of educational music based on composers’ opinions, in other words, on the opinions of the creators of the subject music, and to determine the present situation of the area in the light of these evaluations. For these purposes, 7 composers, all of whom had contributed to educational music, were interviewed. The resultant data were analyzed under three themes by means of content analysis. The themes were the concept of educational music, educational music compositions and educational music composing. As a result, composers indicated that songs composed as educational music pieces should have a content that children can relate to. They also said that music teachers and prospective music teachers who had the ability to compose should engage in the composition of educational music. According to composers, in order for songs to be of good musical quality; easy and catchy melodies and lyrics, prosody, melodic sequence, harmonic structure and form components were important. Composers also expressed their opinions regarding “the points to be considered and the method to be followed in the process of composition”, “essential skills and knowledge in addition to the ability to compose”, and “types of music preferred in compositions”. In addition to this research, further studies, which take opinions of music teachers, who are the appliers of educational music, and those of students, who are the receivers and consumers of educational music, into account, can be undertaken so as to be able to evaluate the area of educational music from different perspectives.

The transition period of modern society can be observed in various aspects, particularly in the value-normative one. The study of the Genesis of the formation of personality’s value-based orientations in the current conditions of reforming educational sector in Ukraine and its integration into the European Higher Education Area are becoming prioritized. The research methodology is complex, combining theoretical and empirical methods. Theoretical study of the problem of values in philosophical-historical and psychological-pedagogical discourses creates a methodological basis for expanding the subject field of interdisciplinary branches of scientific knowledge: pedagogical axiology and philosophy of music education. The interdisciplinary context of the conceptual range of these disciplines makes it possible to modernize the value-based orientation in the content of art education. The problem of spiritual and value-based formation of the personality by means of music is actualized, which creates the prerequisites for the formation of a phenomenon of holistic professional worldview of future music teachers. The analysis of structural components of the outlined phenomenon shows that the normative and regulatory basis of professional worldview is a system of value-based orientations of the individual.

The article examines the legal foundations of post-privatization control of social facilities in Kazakhstan as a factor in increasing the efficiency of privatization. Based on the study of legislation, the current role and essence of post-privatization control has been determined. The current situation in the implementation of post-privatization control is analyzed, problems of the effectiveness of the implementation of post-privatization control are identified, and ways of their solution are proposed. The methodological basis of the research was formed by the methods of critical legal and content analysis. The research toolkit included criticism of the law enforcement practice of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of state property, using a specific example. In addition, the author analyzed interviews and statements in the media of other stakeholders of the privatization process in order to study their position on the subject of this study. The results of the study show that, despite the optimistic attitude of representatives of state bodies against the background of the absence of negative “cases”, the current legislation regulating relations in the field of state property lacks effective mechanisms to influence purchasers of social facilities, which would ensure the protection of the interests of society in obtaining quality social services.

This paper describes the research conducted in the Republic of Croatia during the 2012/13 academic year. We have gathered opinions from experts, i.e. teaching methods teachers from seven faculties of teacher education, regarding the music teaching competencies necessary for primary education teachers teaching music in the first several grades of elementary school. We used the Delphi method in our research, i.e. in our sample survey among teaching methods teachers. The teachers also evaluated the competencies of their students and some elements of teacher education studies course syllabi and programmes. The sample survey among the teachers was implemented via email. The goal of the research was to determine if the programmes of the music courses at the teacher education studies are appropriate for the development of the competencies necessary for students of music education. Teaching methods teachers emphasized the need for more practical training, primarily regarding playing instruments and singing, and they pointed out that the course Teaching Methods in Music is the most important course for the training of future music teachers. Aside from that, they believe that more classes should be devoted to music courses, i.e. they propose to reorganise the contents of the courses by increasing the amount of practical classes and reducing the amount of theory classes. They also believe that it is necessary to introduce testing of musical ability at entrance exams for admission into the teacher education studies.

This paper, using the operational method of content analysis, gives an overview of the programmatic attitudes of the parties in Serbia about the province of Kosovo and Metohija. We have used internet presentations of the parties in our case, but in some cases this meant that these were outdated programs from the period of diametrically opposed political circumstances in the country and the world, or general presentations without stating when and where the program was adopted. In any case, the Kosovo and Metohija issue is recognized by most parties, especially those with the most numerous membership and a long tradition, as an issue of first-class state importance. The parties are almost unanimous when it comes to protecting the rights of Serbs, their cultural heritage, and the economic interests of Serbia in the province. However, the positioning of the parties with regard to the final status of the province has brought major differences. Some parties stand firmly on the position of Resolution 1244 and the 2006 Constitution of the Republic of Serbia in relation to this matter, while on the opposite side are those political factors advocating for a permanent solution based on compromise. The statements of contemporary political actors in Serbia about the province of Kosovo and Metohija are not the subject of this paper, but we are exclusively focused on programs as a permanent testimony to the attitude of political circles in Serbia towards the aforementioned issue to this day.

The field of musical hearing education is among the most significant areas due to its importance in prospective music teachers’ learning experiences. This is because musical hearing has an effect the success on all other areas of musical education. It is important to determine the prospective music teachers’ evaluation on studies of dictation writing for its direct effect on many courses in their occupational training and musical development. There are studies working on different perceptions on different concepts of individuals by using metaphors in the context of educational sciences and in different levels of education. In literature review, it is found out that less research made, which are using metaphors as data collection tool in music education field than the other education fields. For that reason, in this research it is deem suitable to get benefit from using metaphors of prospective music teachers’ perceptions on musical dictation writing. The working group of this research consists of 93 students which are studying Dokuz Eylul University Buca Faculty of Education Music Education Department in the 2018-2019 educational year. The data of this research has been collected with a fill in the blanks form like “dictation writing is like ....…. Because …… ”. Data collected analyzed by using content analysis.  In the content analysis stage, 11 data excluded.  Finding results shows that 82 prospective music teachers have produced 70 metaphors on dictation writing. Prospective music teachers produced metaphors on dictation writing categorized in 9, which are (19,51%) giving happiness, (19,51%) needs attention, (13,41%) analysis, (9,76%) caused mixed emotions, (8,54%) concreting, (8,54%) difficulty, (8,54%) needs effort, (7,32%) developing, and (4,88%) troublesome. It is found out that prospective teachers used metaphors like puzzle / crossword / puzzle solving (f=12), playing strategy game on computer (f=4) and solving math problems (f=4).   Abstract   Müziksel işitme eğitimi, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının öğrenim yaşantılarında önem derecesine göre ilk sıralarda yer alabilecek bir alandır.

Arts entrepreneurship education has been increasingly offered in Norwegian Higher Music Education (HME) since 2011 (Watne & Nymoen, 2017). I argue that a teacher’s perspective and definition of entrepreneurship influences how they teach the subject. Using a qualitative content analysis approach (Elo & Kyngäs, 2008; Mayring, 2000), this article explores a small (n=37) pilot survey of administrators and teachers from four institutes of HME in Norway. In addition to mapping respondents’ definitions of entrepreneurship to the most influential definitions of entrepreneurship from the literature, I explore their perceptions of the need for entrepreneurship in HME and their prescriptive changes for entrepreneurship education’s integration into the curriculum. Respondents most commonly defined entrepreneurship in the “opportunity creation, recognition, and exploitation” sense, with definitions related to “self-employment” and “innovation” being the second and third most common response, respectively. 95% of respondents perceive a need for entrepreneurship education in HME. Prescribing curricular changes, 57% of respondents see a need for a more market oriented and entrepreneurial focus in the current curriculum to “some extent”, 19% to a “large extent”, 16% to “a little extent”, and 8% to a “very little extent.” Rationale for such changes is further analyzed using Bridgstock’s (2013) typology of arts entrepreneurship pedagogical approaches. I conclude by guiding educators and readers to existing knowledge and tools in the literature as they relate to each arts entrepreneurship pedagogical approach – an organization of knowledge that is important given the field’s diversity of perspectives and the power an educator has in the subject’s implementation.

Along with the establishment of the Republic, a song repertoire consisting of transferred songs was previously endeavoured to be formed by taking school music samples of foreign countries and writing Turkish words below them. Afterwards, with the same percept, an imitation songs repertoire was attempted to be formed by our composers. Since the 1950s, the idea that school music should be on the axis of folk music and that music education should be carried out through school music samples composed from the close environment of the child has begun to take place. Together with the various developments since the 1970s, the tendency towards soft music has strengthened in society and also interest in Turkish classical music has increased. Moreover, since the 1970s, soft and classical music samples have begun to be used in music education, which was built on folk music in 1968. Thus, high school music teaching programs which went into effect in 1986 were prepared accordingly. Today, the sense that bringing to the classroom appropriate samples of vital music types in society, getting the student to learn at least one example of each music type and introducing these types is dominating. In this study, music types in middle school music teaching programs in Turkey were endeavoured to be evaluated in terms of music teachers. The subject was researched with the case study method which is one of the qualitative research methods. The oriented exemplification method was used in the study and 5 music teachers working in a middle school participated in the study group. The data was analysed by forming the necessary coding and themes. According to the obtained findings, results and suggestions were given place.

The territorial image is formed both purposefully by the subjects of image-making, and spontaneously-based on the influence of information content published in various media. The purpose of the research is to analyze the image of the Republic of Mordovia in the information space of the Volga Federal district. The image of the territory formed by external target audiences by means of news materials is studied using the method of case study and content analysis of publications: “Volga news”, “Federal Press” news of the PFD, “Pravda PFD”. The authors conclude that modern reality is perceived through the prism of the information field created by mass media. The media creates images filled with certain data, facts, colored by emotions, on the basis of which representations, opinions, judgments, and assessments are subsequently formed. The media play a significant role in shaping the territorial image, especially for external target audiences who are not familiar with the region and do not have their own assessment knowledge and experience. Most of the information content about the Republic in the studied media is related to the main thematic blocks: politics, economy, social sphere, culture (art, sports). Moreover, if in the publications “Volga news” and “Pravda PFD” mention of the region prevails in the economic block, then in the publications “Federal Press” and “Nezavisimaya Gazeta” - in the political one. The Volga news publication significantly dominates the rest in terms of the number of publications about Mordovia. The content of publications is mostly positive and neutral related to the issues of economic development of the territory and the preparation and holding of the world football championship. Pravda PFD mentions the Republic in the context of news from neighboring territories, most of the publications date back to 2018, but here the context is related to the Republic's positions among the regions of the PFD in various ratings. The publication “Federal-Press” forms a generally reflective image of the territory, focusing on the negative aspects of regional life. “Nezavisimaya Gazeta”, giving priority to political news, maintains a neutral and reflective context of publications, paying attention to the key problems of the territory. Thus, the desired image of the region is counter-dictated to the image broadcast by the media through various information channels, so it is necessary to constantly monitor the information space and timely correction of the broadcast materials.
