The article presents the current state and the directions of development of contemporary tanks. Trends in the development of armored weaponry as a structure were considered in four areas: firepower, mobility, protection and situational awareness of the crew. Examples of combat vehicles used in various armies of the world and their upgrading and planned construction works were described herein. Combat vehicles used in the German, Israeli, Russian and Polish armies were assumed to be the most representative for the purpose of this study. An attempt has also been made to assess the adopted and planned technical solutions.

Introduction. Today, almost the only industry in the country that Ukraine can really be proud of and which is considered one of the most technologically advanced in the world is the development of card technologies, payment technologies and card infrastructure. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state of electronic payment systems in Ukraine and highlight development trends. Results. The modern fintech directions in Ukraine are analyzed and examples of the impact of COVID-19 on the market of electronic payment systems for the last period are given. A number of trends are highlighted for further research in the field of electronic payment systems, which are now quite promising. Perspectives. Given the significant increase in non-cash payments, the problem of developing financial technologies and spreading awareness among the population has become especially urgent. It is necessary to improve not only the financial technologies themselves, but also the ways of providing them to clients and promoting modern financial technologies. Electronic payment systems can still be considered one of the most promising areas for future research.

This paper provides an overview of the current state of supercomputer technology. The review is done from different points of view — from the construction features of modern computing devices to the features of the architecture of large supercomputer complexes. This review includes descriptions of the most powerful supercomputers in the world and Russia since the early of 2021 as well as some less powerful systems that are interesting from other points of view. It also focuses on the development trends of the supercomputer industry and describes the most famous projects for building future exascale supercomputers.

Abstract The evolution and current state of the technology for supplying ships from the shore under high voltage - alternative power from the shore (APS), known as “Alternative Maritime Power® (AMP®), cold ironing (CI) and high voltage shore connection (HVSC) are described. The structure of the system and existing methods of implementation, mandatory components, depending on the system version are considered. The need for national adaptations of the international versons, the unification of existing technical solutions and their development trends, taking into account high-voltage technologies is emphasized. Advantages and challenges of environmental impacts, expected phased tightening of environmental regulations, including the maritime legislation (the MARPOL convention), as well as promising initiatives in the context of global decarbonization trends are described. The need to take into account purposes and cargo capacity and regions of operation of ships, to develop the port infrastructure, and make clean electricity available is emphasized.

The article examines the epistemological roots of conservative ideology, development trends and further prospects in political reform not only in modern Russia, but also in other countries. The author focuses on the “world” and Russian conservatism. In the course of the study, the author illustrates what opportunities and limitations a conservative ideology can have in political reform not only in modern Russia, but also in the world. In conclusion, it is concluded that the prospect of a conservative trend in the world is wide enough. To avoid immigration and to control the development of technology in society, it is necessary to adhere to a conservative policy. Conservatism is a consolidating ideology. It is no coincidence that the author cites as an example the understanding of conservative ideology by the French due to the fact that Russia has its own vision of the ideology of conservatism. If we say that conservatism seeks to preserve something and respects tradition, we must bear in mind that traditions in different societies, which form some kind of moral imperatives, cannot be a single phenomenon due to different historical destinies and differing religious views. Considered from the point of view of religion, Muslim and Christian conservatism will be somewhat confrontational on some issues. The purpose of the work was to consider issues related to the role, evolution and prospects of conservative ideology in the political reform of modern countries. The author focuses on Russia and France. To achieve this goal, the method of in-depth interviews with experts on how they understand conservatism was chosen. Already today, conservatism is quite diverse. It is quite possible that in the future it will transform even more and acquire new reflections.

At the beginning of a new millennium it seems a good idea to stop for a moment and take stock of the current state of forensic science. As a field of scientific research and scientific application, forensic science is a little more than a century old. Forensic science may be said to have begun in 1887 with the simultaneous publication of A. Conan Doyle’s A Study in Scarlet and Hans Gross’s Handbuch für Untersuchungsrichter. Conan Doyle’s novel introduced to the world the character of Sherlock Holmes, whose literary career would popularize the use of physical evidence in criminal investigations. Gross’s manual for examining magistrates suggests ways in which the expertise of chemists, biologists, geologists, and other natural scientists could contribute to investigations. Gross’s book was translated into a number of languages and went through various updated editions during the course of the century. The intervening century saw the development and application of fingerprinting, firearm and tool mark identification, forensic chemistry, forensic biology, forensic toxicology, forensic odontology, forensic pathology, and forensic engineering. Increasingly, the judicial systems of the industrial nations of the world have come to rely upon the expertise of scientists in a variety of disciplines. In most advanced countries, virtually all criminal prosecutions now involve the presentation of scientific testimony. This has had the beneficial effect of diminishing the reliance of courts on eyewitness testimony and defendant confessions.
