Recent decades are characterized by the heightened interest towards the Russian traditional culture. Among the markers of ethnic hue of an art object or a product, special place belongs to the ornament. The article examines the problems of development, transformation and adaptation to modern conditions of the traditional Slavic ornament used in design of packaging. The object of this research is the graphic element placed on the most popular lines of generally accessible food products featured in the chain supermarkets. The choice is substantiated by the general accessibility, mass production of the goods and its wide regional coverage, which ensures maximal interaction with the Russian consumer. It is established that the elements of Slavic ornament are widely used in design of packaging of food products. Preference of manufacturers is given to the elements of Khokhloma and Gzhel painting as most famous and brand-named Russian traditional crafts. The author observes the active search for color, compositional and thematic solutions, which testifies on its inevitable adaptation and transformation of traditional elements, as well as points at their problems in preparation of specialists in the area of design, who at time are not familiar with the semantic-conceptual field of the used ornaments. This leads to the occurrence of associative dissonance in perception of food products and their packaging. Utilization of the traditional ornament in this applied sphere is one of the ways for preservation and development of national culture, which forms an essential associative layer in public consciousness and requires careful application.

Under the background of the vigorous development of various cultural and artistic forms, the traditional patterns that can express the unique charm of Chinese national culture have become an important material for modern design. Traditional patterns not only have unique decorative functions, but also represent the spirit of traditional culture. Among them, flower and bird patterns are also precipitated by history. It is worth exploring how to combine the flower and bird patterns with the aesthetics of the times, and how to integrate the traditional flower and bird patterns with the nature of the times. Starting with the formation and development of flower and bird patterns, this paper analyzes the historical, cultural and aesthetic attributes of flower and bird patterns from the perspective of design culture, and expounds the application of flower and bird patterns in makeup and hair in various historical dynasties. With the development of the times, the application of flower and bird patterns in modern makeup and hair should be both national and in line with the aesthetic requirements of modern people.

In times of the global integration of economy and culture, the preservation of the value of national traditional culture and the variety of architectural culture is of great significance for the development of national culture. Design is supposed to be the perfect combination of technology and art, which cannot be separated from the cultural factors. Design is influenced and constrained by culture and in turn reflects the characters of culture of the time. Design of any age is closely related with the local culture. The traditional culture of nationality, regionalism and sociality not only affects the contemporary arts movement but also directly influences the contemporary designing movement.

A great number of studies have been reported based on Hofstede’s seminal work on national culture (1980). Our findings for a very recent sample of people attending executive and MBA programs found no significant differences in Power Distance between the United States (U.S.), Mexico and Canada. Our results suggest that caution should be taken in automatically assuming cultural parity between the U.S. and Canada and that more traditional culture positions between the NAFTA member nations may be more subject to change than stable through phenomena like crossvergence. Our findings suggest that Hofstede’s (1980) study provides one useful framework; however, the relative positions of national culture are not necessarily applicable to present day.

The Mongolian culture is part of China's traditional culture. It is a prairie culture of fusion Mongolian wisdom for nearly a thousand years. This article briefly introduces the basic concepts of mascots and Mongolian cultural elements, and carries out a design practice by using the horse culture, color matching, boke clothing in the Mongolian cultural elements. The white horse mascot was designed by combining with national culture. It can be found that Mongolian traditional culture is a huge resource treasure house for mascot design through design practice, and the design of mascot is the characteristic of the era that inherits the development of Mongolian culture. The integration of Mongolian culture and mascot design can achieve mutual benefit.

The article analyzes the features of the modern language trilingual’s policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan under conditions of modernization of public consciousness. The author studies cause and effect relationships of the occurrence of this phenomenon in the state, assesses the prospects for its development, identifies the difficulties faced by the Kazakhstan’s society on the path to introducing trilingual’s, and shows the current development priorities of the linguistic personality of the most developed countries of the world. Nowadays many difficulties arise in the way of ensuring a new language policy in Kazakhstan, caused by the fact that the Kazakh language lacks many scientific terms and concepts. Their use in the state has always been provided by the Russian language. At the same time, a number of scholars evaluate the transition to the Latin alphabet as a destructive phenomenon in language policy that can harm the Kazakh language and national culture. At the same time, experts offer acceptable options for solving emerging problems and


Automatic cooking machine’ as the name itself implies, cooking of food automatically without any human effort. Main aim is to make cooking easier, simple and less time consuming.[1] The machine will have pre-loaded recipes of your choice and the amount of ingredients will be specified in a Clanguage program, so you just have to choose the recipe you want to eat and the machine will start to prepare your food and notify you when the food is ready.[2] In present day scenario there is a rapid increase in inventions of machines which are based on automation process and they are used in every sector from home to industries. Our machine consists of induction cooker, bowls, oil and water pump, spice dispenser and some other components whose purpose is for stepwise addition of ingredients and cooking the food eventually. We have newly designed cooking pot which avoids the foods from burning. This machine can prepare food as close as food which can be prepared by a human hand.For communicating with the machine, we have installed a HMI interface through which we give command to the machine and every working process of the machine is controlled by Arduino2560 kit. This machine can be used in our day to day life and even in industries for mass production of certain food products.

We model the cultural outcomes of ‘sons of the soil’ conflicts. These are conflicts between the local inhabitants of a particular region and migrants to the region, typically belonging to a dominant national culture. Our goal is to understand the conditions under which migrants assimilate into the local culture, or in which locals assimilate into the national culture. The model has two main actors: a national elite of a dominant ethnic group, and a regional elite seeking to promote the traditional culture of the sons of the soil. Both actors have parallel strategies, viz. assimilating the other group into their culture, controlling the size of the migrant population, doing both, or allowing market forces to determine outcomes. The model has three possible cultural outcomes: the culture tips to that of the sons of the soil; the culture tips to that of the migrant group; or the region remains bicultural, with each group retaining its own culture. We illustrate these outcomes through four cases: (i) Bengalis and Assamese in the Indian state of Assam; (ii) Russians and Estonians in the Ida-Virumaa county of Estonia; (iii) Tamils and Sinhalese in Jaffna and the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka; and (iv) Castilians and Catalans in the autonomous community of Catalonia in Spain.

The purpose of the article is (1) to gather empirical facts about the use of words and terms in Indonesian literatures, (2) understand implicature (aditional message) behind the the dynamic use of words and terms in Indonesian literatures. The fact about awareness of the usage of Indonesian language in literatures is expected to be supporting data in the development of Indonesian language history. The source of the data is Indonesian literatures including novels. The data are collected by reading technique, marking out, and taking notes. The data are analyzed using comparison technique, a technique that use words or terms in certain time and compared to those from another time. The result of this analysis shows that in 1980’s, many Indonesia literatures used vernacular words and terms. This period of time can be used as an alternatif to mark the development of Indonesian language, especially the development of the vocabulary. Besides, the use of words and terms in the speech of Indonesian novel characters are an implication that Indonesian society, particularly the writers are worried that traditional culture will be shifted by national culture. В статье рассматривается традиционное мировосприятие тюрков Саяно-Алтая, определяемое их идентификацией и разнообразием способов их позиционированием в сакральном пространстве. Сакральное и профанное являются базовыми в любой мировоззренческой системе. Необходимо отметить, что пространство в восприятии традиционной культуры неоднородно и в данной статье объектом исследования является сакральное пространство в мировоззренческой картине мира алтайцев, хакасов и тувинцев. Ставится задача выделения сакральных локусов из повседневно-бытового пространства. Одни локусы более семантизированы, чем другие. Выделение элементов пространства, их насыщенность мифологической семантикой, позитивной или негативной, определяется принадлежностью к земному или потустороннему мирам. Особое место занимают такие бинарные оппозиции, как «сакральное» – «обыденное», «свое» – «чужое», «освоенное» – «неосвоенное», «восток» – «запад», «новая луна» – «старая луна», «день» – «ночь».The article deals with the traditional worldview of the Sayan-Altai Turks, determined by their identification and a variety of ways of their positioning in the sacred space. The sacred and the profane are basic to any belief system. It should be noted that the space in the perception of traditional culture is heterogeneous and the object of the study in this article is the sacred space in the worldview of the Altai, Khakas and Tuvinian people. The task to allocate sacral loci from daily and household space is set. Some loci are more semantic than others. The allocation of space elements, their saturation with mythological semantics, either positive or negative, is determined by belonging to the earthly or otherworldly worlds. A special place is occupied by such binary oppositions as "sacred" – "ordinary", "own" – "alien", "developed"– "undeveloped", "East" – "West", " new moon" –"old moon", "day"– "night".
