Resumo: O litoral cearense do Nordeste brasileiro já registra várias experiências exitosas de turismo comunitário. Porém, o governo do estado continua preterindo esse potencial e subsidiando a instalação de megaempreendimentos que geram poucos empregos com baixas remunerações. Assim, as comunidades litorâneas que protagonizam o turismo comunitário ficam duplamente penalizadas, pois são deixadas à margem das políticas de turismo e seus territórios viram alvos da cobiça de visitantes atraídos pelo marketing dos investimentos públicos realizados. Tomando como estudo de caso a comunidade de Tatajuba, no município de Camocim, no Ceará, este artigo analisa a luta dos povos do mar pelo território, luta essa que não se traduz apenas na defesa do espaço de vivência, mas também na formação de uma rede de territórios solidários articulados ao mundo, que resiste/inova com a proposta do turismo comunitário.  Palavras-chave: Turismo. Tatajuba. DISPUTED TERRITORY ON THE COAST OF CEARÁ: THE STRENGTH AND INNOVATION OF COMMUNITY TOURISM ON THE ACTIONS AND CONTRADICTIONS OF STATEAbstract: The cearense coast of Northeastern Brazil already registers several successful experiences of Community tourism. However, the state government is still neglecting this potential and subsidizing the installation of mega-enterprises that generate few jobs with low pay. Thus, the coastal communities who star the community tourism are doubly penalized because they are abandoned by tourism policies and their territories become targets of greed of visitors attracted by the marketing of public investments. Taking as a case study the community of Tatajuba, in Camocim (municipality, Ceará, Brazil), this article examines the struggle of the peoples of the sea through the territory. This fight not only translates on defense of the living space, but also it represents the formation of a worldwide network of solidary territories that resists and innovates with the proposal of community tourism.Keywords: Tourism. Sin embargo, el gobierno del estado continúa pasando por encima de este potencial y subvencionando la instalación de mega-empresas que generan pocos empleos con bajos salarios. Por lo tanto, las comunidades costeras que ofrecen el turismo comunitario son doblemente penalizadas porque quedan excluidas de las políticas de turismo y sus territorios se convierten en objeto de la codicia de los visitantes atraídos por la comercialización de las inversiones públicas. Tomando como caso de estudio la comunidad Tatajuba, en el municipio de Camocim, este artículo examina la lucha de los pueblos del mar por el territorio, lucha que no sólo se traduce en la defensa del espacio de vida, sino también en la formación de una red de territorios articulado con el mundo que resiste e innova con la propuesta del turismo comunitario.Palabras clave: Turismo. This chapter examines the constitution of the Church of England, beginning with a discussion of the Anglican Communion of which the Church of England is a component Church. The Anglican Communion is a worldwide network of thirty-nine autonomous national and regional churches, each belonging to the Communion by virtue of a common tradition, ecclesiology and doctrine. The Archbishop of Canterbury is a focus of unity for the Communion, as are the three so-called instruments of unity, the Lambeth Conference, the Anglican Consultative Council and Primates Meeting. The chapter also considers the synodical government of the Church of England and provides an overview of the composition, purpose and function of the Archbishops' Council, General Synod, diocesan synods, and deanery synods. Finally, it describes the Church Commissioners, courts and tribunals, and the Court of Faculties.

The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA)-Australia has recently become the first fully autonomous affiliate of BCIA, certifying neurofeedback professionals in Australia, with requirements equivalent to those of BCIA. BCIA has also established a worldwide network of professionals, who intermittently meet to promote biofeedback and neurofeedback certification in each national community. BCIA accredits programs providing basic training and continuing education.

abstract A possibly significant factor in application of an identification criterion such as MS:mb is systematic bias in mb magnitude estimates at small magnitudes due to a variety of factors. Magnitude bias is the difference in magnitude value, positive or negative, between an observed network-based magnitude value and the expected magnitude value if all stations of the network had detected the event at high signal-to-noise ratio. This paper constitutes a partial study of the general problem; it evaluates the bias effects expected from both conceptual and operational networks when using parameters for noise and signal levels and standard deviations derived from observations, and when correcting observed station mb values solely via a simple parameter station correction factor. The analysis shows that any bias effects on mb inherent in any operational or potential worldwide network are so small as to have negligible effect on use of an MS:mb discriminant.

The Cosmic-Ray Extremely Distributed Observatory (CREDO) is a project dedicated to global studies of extremely extended cosmic-ray phenomena, the cosmic-ray ensembles (CRE), beyond the capabilities of existing detectors and observatories. Up to date, cosmic-ray research has been focused on detecting single air showers, while the search for ensembles of cosmic-rays, which may overspread a significant fraction of the Earth, is a scientific terra incognita. Instead of developing and commissioning a completely new global detector infrastructure, CREDO proposes approaching the global cosmic-ray analysis objectives with all types of available detectors, from professional to pocket size, merged into a worldwide network. With such a network it is possible to search for evidences of correlated cosmic-ray ensembles. One of the observables that can be investigated in CREDO is a number of spatially isolated events collected in a small time window which could shed light on fundamental physics issues. The CREDO mission and strategy requires active engagement of a large number of participants, also non-experts, who will contribute to the project by using common electronic devices (e.g., smartphones). In this note, the status and perspectives of the project are presented.

Nowadays, the tourism industry is a consumer of a diverse range of information (Buhalis & O’Connor, 2005). Information communication technologies (ICTs) play a critical role for the competitiveness of tourism organizations and destinations. According to Staab and Werthner (2002), ICTs are having the effect of changing: • The ways in which tourism companies contact their business; reservations and information management systems; • The ways tourism companies communicate; how customers look for information on, and purchase travel goods and services. In the tourism industry, the supply and demand sides form a worldwide network in which tourism product’s generation and distribution are closely worked together. Most tourism products (e.g., hotel rooms or flight tickets) are time constrained and nonstockable. Generally, the tourism product is both “perishable” and “complex,” and itself is a bundle of basic products aggregated by intermediaries. Consequently, basic products must have well-defined interfaces with respect to consumer needs, prices, or distribution channels. In addition, a tourism product cannot be tested and controlled in advance. During decision-making, only an abstract model of the product (e.g., its description) is available. Besides, the tourism industry has a heterogeneous nature, and a strong small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) base. Undoubtedly, intelligent technologies are increasingly changing the nature of, and processes in, the tourism industry. This chapter reviews, in brief, such technologies applied to the e-tourism domain.

Internet of things (IoT) is a worldwide network of interconnected objects. However, the things-oriented, internet-oriented, semantic-oriented, and tactile-oriented versions of IoT are meaningless if the IoT objects are not equipped with intelligence. For this, current research trends are oriented towards cognitive radio. This paper presents IoT, its definition, its potential applications, its challenges, as well as its enabling technologies. Among these technologies, particular importance is given to cognitive radio. The overall objective of this paper is to make a global synthesis on the motivations as well as on the challenges to be raised by the integration of cognitive radio in IoT in order to serve as self-reconfigurable solutions for a certain number of IoT applications.

Abstract. A new ionospheric sounding station using a Canadian Advanced Digital Ionosonde (CADI) was established for routine measurements by the "Universidade do Vale do Paraiba (UNIVAP)" at São José dos Campos (23.2° S, 45.9° W), Brazil, in August 2000. A major geomagnetic storm with gradual commencement at about 01:00 UT was observed on 31 March 2001. In this paper, we present and discuss salient features from the ionospheric sounding measurements carried out at S. J. Campos on the three consecutive UT days 30 March (quiet), 31 March (disturbed) and 1 April (recovery) 2001. During most of the storm period, the foF2 values showed negative phase, whereas during the two storm-time peaks, large F-region height variations were observed. In order to study the longitudinal differences observed in the F-region during the storm, the simultaneous ionospheric sounding measurements carried out at S. J. Campos, El Arenosillo (37.1° N, 6.7° W), Spain, Okinawa (26.3° N, 127.8° E), Japan and Wakkanai (45.5° N, 141.7° E), Japan, during the period 30 March-1 April 2001, have been analyzed. A comparison of the observed ionospheric parameters (h'F and foF2) in the two longitudinal zones (1. Japanese and 2. Brazilian-Spanish) shows both similarities and differences associated with the geomagnetic disturbances. Some latitudinal differences are also observed in the two longitudinal zones. In addition, global ionospheric TEC maps from the worldwide network of GPS receivers are presented, showing widespread TEC changes during both the main and recovery phases of the storm. The ionospheric sounding measurements are compared with the ASPEN-TIMEGCM model runs appropriate for the storm conditions. The model results produce better agreement during the quiet period. During the disturbed period, some of the observed F-region height variations are well reproduced by the model results. The model foF2 and TEC results differ considerably during the recovery period and indicate much stronger negative phase at all the stations, particularly at the low-latitude ones.
