This study aimed to evaluate the block system implementation in Permata Harapan Vocational High School based on (1) understanding and apply the block system conducted by teaching staff, (2) understanding of block system implementation by students, (3) availability of facilities and infrastructure at Permata Harapan Vocational High School to support good student competence. This research was a descriptive study. Data was collected by using a questionnaire method based on the CIPP evaluation model (context, input, process, product). The subjects of this study were 50 students in grade X and XI Permata Harapan School and several officials high school. The description of the data carried out by considering the frequency distribution and determining the Level of Respondent Achievement (TPR) in each component and indicator which compared with the criteria. The results showed that the scores were based on an understanding of the implementation of the block system using the CIPP evaluation method which included in moderate category and reached 68.65% percent, with details of each aspect: (1) the context aspect was 81.94%, (2) 63.89% of input aspects, (3) 67.70% of process aspects, (4) 71.52% of product aspects. Based on the discussion results of observation and documentation, the average achievement of all aspects was 82.47%. So, the implementation of the block system at SMK Permata Harapan has been in good classification but it still needs improvement in various aspects so that the goal of implementing the block system can be achieved perfectly.

This study dealt to explore the administrative and instructional practices associated with the implementation of the Senior High School Program in the Division of Pampanga in aid of policy recommendation. It described how administrators and teachers assess the level of readiness of schools; administrative and instructional practices that are utilized; common problems and their coping measures; significant insights and observations and the policy recommendation that may be proposed. The study made use of the descriptive evaluation method utilizing the Mixed Method Explanatory Sequential Design in data analyzing, for the purposes of breadth and depth of understanding and corroboration. Based on the results, the Division of Pampanga has the readiness to offer the program. Administrators have been pursuing their administrative and instructional functions. There are issues hindering implementation that need to be addressed. Administrators and teachers are doing their very best to find solutions to their encountered problems. The following are the recommendations; Administrators may study the possibility of strategically aligning the local school board funds. Administrators may continue the training, and supporting teachers to do action researches. Concerned schools may revisit the different ways and means on how the problems can be solved.

This article discusses some of the results of a Masters research that proposes and applies a method of pedagogical experimentation based on retroaction of errors and successes with regard to the use of learning objects in student learning FARMA tool. This work was conducted by performing theoretical and practical research. On theoretical research was proposed one evaluation method of the teaching-learning process, using concepts of retroaction, mobile learning, authoring tools in IA, and learning objects. The research practice understood the application of the method, based on diagnosis, pretest, post-test and interaction, and analysis. This application was conducted in two schools in the State of Paraná, with 260 ninth grade students of the elementary school and first year of high school. Learning objects were developed in FARMA covering math content to the stage of interaction. The analysis of the data was statistical. The methods highlighted that all participants have achieved some kind of gain. When comparing the pedagogical experimentation based on retroaction of mistakes and successes, there was statistically significant difference for the students of the first year of high school.

The statewide Utah Model for Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance: K-12 Programs (Utah State Office of Education, 2008) began implementation in 1988. Beginning with the 2004-2005 school year, data collection has been required for all schools collecting program funds. This article reviews research data from three Utah schools–-one elementary school, one junior high school, and one high school. Each review details the intended behavior, desired results, guidance activity, evaluation method, and study results. A brief history of Utah's comprehensive counseling and guidance program is provided and specific recommendations for districtwide or statewide data collection are provided.

Evaluation of the resolution of the Imaging Plate (IP) has been attempted by some methods. An evaluation method for IP resolution, which is not influenced by hard X-rays at higher accelerating voltages, was proposed previously by the present authors. This method, however, requires truoblesome experimental preperations partly because specially synthesized hematite was used as a specimen, and partly because a special shape of the specimen was used as a standard image. In this paper, a convenient evaluation method which is not infuenced by the specimen shape and image direction, is newly proposed. In this method, phase contrast images of thin amorphous film are used.Several diffraction rings are obtained by the Fourier transformation of a phase contrast image of thin amorphous film, taken at a large under focus. The rings show the spatial-frequency spectrum corresponding to the phase contrast transfer function (PCTF). The envelope function is obtained by connecting the peak intensities of the rings. The evelope function is offten used for evaluation of the instrument, because the function shows the performance of the electron microscope (EM).

High school cosmetology students study the methods and effects of various human hair treatments, including permanents, straightening, conditioning, coloring and cutting. Although they are provided with textbook examples of overtreatment and numerous hair disorders and diseases, a view of an individual hair at the high resolution offered by an SEM provides convincing evidence of the hair‘s altered structure. Magnifications up to 2000X provide dramatic differences in perspective. A good quality classroom optical microscope can be very informative at lower resolutions.Students in a cosmetology class are initially split into two groups. One group is taught basic controls on the SEM (focus, magnification, brightness, contrast, specimen X, Y, and Z axis movements). A healthy, untreated piece of hair is initially examined on the SEM The second group cements a piece of their own hair on a stub. The samples are dryed quickly using heat or vacuum while the groups trade places and activities.

A modification of the Paired-Stimuli Parent Program (Florance, 1977) was adapted for the treatment of articulatory errors of visually handicapped children. Blind high school students served as clinical aides. A discussion of treatment methodology, and the results of administrating the program to 32 children, including a two-year follow-up evaluation to measure permanence of behavior change, is presented.
