Linear scheduling method is suitable for projects with repetitive activities, as well as tipical mass product units such as a road, apartment, and residential housings. In this research linear schedule modeling was carried out on residential typical housings project of 50 units. The simulation of linear scheduling is to minimize the idle times by using time buffers and human resources allocation so that the usage of human resources can be as efficient as possible. The research findings show that the 8th simulation by using buffers has a project duration of 314 days were chosen with 18 working groups, compares to 9th simulation without buffers that has a duration of 180 days and 134 days of idle time which with 1522 man day of inefficient.

Linear scheduling method (LSM) is a scheduling method that is based on achieving a continuous flow of resources as well as precedence requirements. Although LSMs have recognized strengths in dealing with resource-intensive projects that are composed of repetitive activities, LSMs are not used extensively. This study proposes a staff-technology fit model that aims to measure the extent to which the features provided by LSM match scheduling staff experience, know-how and capabilities. The aim is to understand why LSM is not used as extensively as expected in construction scheduling. A questionnaire survey was administered to professionals listed in the directory of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) to measure staffing-technology fit in LSM applications. Research findings indicate that LSM applications satisfy user requirements in construction scheduling by (1) providing information that is useful to project participants depending on their position and function in the project organizations, (2) presenting graphics that are easy to understand, and (3) providing ease in communication. Research findings also reveal that LSM is not only a scheduling tool but also a control tool. However, the findings also point out that (1) LSM schedules require much time and effort to produce, (2) there are only very few commercially available software programs capable of running LSM schedules, and (3) there are not enough training opportunities for project managers and their staff to learn how to use LSM.

Although the general consensus is that linear scheduling methods (LSMs) are quite powerful, their use in construction has been very limited. The linkage between the characteristics of scheduling methods and the requirements of the tasks performed by schedulers has been an on-going concern in the construction industry. This study proposes a “task-technology fit” model to understand why LSMs are not being used as extensively as expected. The model aims to determine whether the characteristics of LSM (technology) satisfy the duties and obligations of construction schedulers (tasks). By scrutinizing the task-technology fit in LSM applications, deficiencies can be detected which hinder the wider use of these methods in the industry. A questionnaire survey was administered to measure task-technology fit in LSM applications. The target population included schedulers, project managers, construction managers, and other professionals listed in the directory of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). The findings indicate that LSM is effective in repetitive projects and is able to provide a smooth and efficient flow of resources by adjusting activities’ rate of production. In addition, research findings point out that LSM effectively shows activity sequences as well as progress. However, the findings also reveal that LSM is not applicable when reliable resource data are not available. It should also be noted that very few software packages that perform LSM scheduling are commercially available on the market.

To gradually professionalize social work in hospitals, the establishment of social work units in hospitals is necessary in Vietnam's current context. The study's objective was to evaluate the establishment results of social work units among some hospitals in Vietnam for the period 2011-2020. The study was conducted from December 2019 to March 2020, with 503 hospitals, including hospitals at the central, provincial, and district levels nationwide. Our findings showed that the establishment prevalence of social work units among some hospitals was relatively high (exceeding the initial target). Human resources on social work were why some hospitals have not yet established social work units (accounting for the highest prevalence with 65.0%). The study results also showed that the larger the number of planned beds, the higher the establishment prevalence of social work units. There were four parts under social work units, including the patients’ support (59.6%), the communication (44.9%), the mobilization and resources allocation (40.8%), and the customer care (44.1%). The study also gave some suggestions to the Ministry of Health to establish social work units to be more effective in the coming time at some hospitals nationwide.

The purpose of this research is to measure the percentage of management readiness of PKBM in following accreditation. This research was a quantitative descriptive study using a questionnaire as the research instrument. The sample in this study was 8 respondents who were PKBM managers in Rejang Lebong Regency. The finding obtained from the results of the PKBM readiness in registering institutions in SISPENA showed a percentage of 84.28571% so that it was included in the category of very ready to register their institutions at SISPENA. For the readiness of 8 standard documents, the research results obtained show a percentage of 71.25673% so that it was included in the quite ready category. For performance readiness/ implementation of activities, the results of the study showed a percentage of 62.32039% so that it was included in the category of not ready. Based on research findings, it was known that the obstacles in preparing the accreditation process were cost and human resources. The conclusion from this study was that PKBM managers in Rejang Lebong Regency were very prepared to register their institutions in SISPENA because all PKBM already have an NPSN as the main requirements for admission to SISPENA. In addition, it was also known that PKBM managers are quite prepared in preparing 8 standard documents because on average PKBM managers already have 8 standard documents. The manager of PKBM was not ready to prepare the performance/implementation of activities because the data found was not in accordance with 8 standard documents.

The chapter analyses the use of employee financial participation in Lithuanian companies. The methodology of current research is based on the qualitative research method and analysis of the company's documents. In a total of 19 semi-structured individual anonymous interviews and one focus group were conducted with competent representatives of the companies – heads of human resources and finance departments of companies, heads of legal departments or top managers of law firms representing them. According to the research findings, employers set different goals for share and profit-sharing programs or measures. Among the already examined, high, long-term employee motivation dominates. It also includes aspects of employee involvement in management, strengthening loyalty, forming a sense of ownership. The Scandinavian capital corporation, which manages several companies in Lithuania and applies for a share ownership program, has succeeded in achieving its goals by strengthening employee motivation and involvement.

Focusing on Irish high-tech start-ups, this paper reports on the results of an empirical study of organization building by entrepreneurial firms, specifically in relation to human resource practices. The research findings are benchmarked with findings from SPEC, the Stanford Project of Emerging Companies (Baron and Hannan, 2002). Human resources management and entrepreneurial research have rarely been combined in the literature and there is no distinct body of work in the area of human resource management in entrepreneurial firms.
