Problem on the road access landfill at Balang Island II Bridge is the landslide at STA 23+025 on left side slope (BH-1) caused by a swamp pond on the roadside. The landfill that cutted into the swampy area made the water get stuck on one side (water could not flow to the original condition). The research method is the form of direct observation in the field which focuses on the results of information and laboratory testing which is then processed and analyzed. The analysis obtained that the soil type on the spot is clay with N-SPT 6 – 29. There are 2 alternatives solutions for the problem. First, if there is a ROW problem, the treatments are watercourse, adding counterweight, wooden pile under the landfill and one layer Geotextile PP 50 (initial ground water level on exsisting condition with 90,4 kPa loads). Second, if there is no ROW problem, the treatments are watercourse, adding counterweight, wooden pile under the landfill and one layer Geotextile PET 100 (initial ground water level on top of landfill with 90,4 kPa loads). Based on technical analysis, the second solution was chosen because it has bigger safety factor, smallest settlement value, and shorter time implementation. However it is still need more detail technical justification to strengthen the desicion.

Author-related literary tourism places can create attractive elements for visitors who have an inner interest in the life stories of authors. Literary pilgrims place particular emphasis on authenticity level in literary sites. One of the attractive literary places in terms of authenticity, which is also Turkey's first literary museum, is Asiyan Museum where Tevfik Fikret lived between the years 1906-1915. In 2010, the museum underwent a comprehensive restoration. During this restoration, serious archive research was carried out and the house approached the original condition in the period of the 1910s. This study aims to examine the relationships between the authenticity of the place and the museum management mentality, research, and tourists' expectations by pointing out the prominence of authenticity in literary places. Using the interview technique, data were collected from the museum official in March 2018 on subjects such as the history of the museum, interpretation techniques, restoration works.

This study specifically outlines the role of pastoral counseling in the church for the restoration of the spiritual health of the church. This paper uses qualitative methods with a literature study approach. The description in this article describes that the interpersonal relationships between counselors and their consensual. Counseling comes from the Latin "Concilium" which means with or with and taking or holding. Pastoral counseling serves to heal the whole human being therefore pastoral counseling helps the "wounded", to survive and go through a state in which they recovered to their original condition. In applying pastoral counseling to the congregation a counselor must understand how he or she should deal with the consequences. This is so that the counselor does not rush to blame or confront a person sharply and directly in the early stages of counseling. A good Christian pastor or counselor should put his or her function first rather than his office, for without real realization of the duty of responsibility one cannot be said to be a good shepherd or counselor.

Cultural heritage buildings of stone construction require careful restorative actions to maintain them as close to the original condition as possible. This includes consolidation and cleaning of the structure. Traditional consolidants may have poor performance due to structural drawbacks such as low adhesion, poor penetration and flexibility. The requirement for organic consolidants to be dissolved in volatile organic compounds may pose environmental and human health risks. Traditional conservation treatments can be replaced by more environmentally acceptable, biologically-based, measures, including bioconsolidation using whole bacterial cells or cell biomolecules; the latter include plant or microbial biopolymers and bacterial cell walls. Biocleaning can employ microorganisms or their extracted enzymes to remove inorganic and organic surface deposits such as sulfate crusts, animal glues, biofilms and felt tip marker graffiti. This review seeks to provide updated information on the innovative bioconservation treatments that have been or are being developed.

The paper deals with the determination of the amount of logging residues including merchantable timber volume (brush) left in the beech stands for further use. Logging residues were recorded in all types of intentional felling starting with intentional improvement felling up to 50 years and ending with intentional regeneration felling. The potential amount of biomass left was divided into the share of brush and the share of small wood. The parameter was monitored for 3 years and all measured values were then statistically evaluated and related to 1 m3 of intentional felling in beech stands. A partial goal of this publication is characterization of economic impacts of the proposal for processing the recorded volume of logging residues left in the beech stands on the forest branch in Smolenice. The economic impacts are characterized in two proposed and mutually compared scenarios. The first scenario considers framework contractors for logging works with their own machines, i.e. by assignments, as a mediation of service invoiced for the assumed amount (m3) forwarded to the roadside landing, with the ownership of the forwarded dendromass belonging to Lesy SR (Forests of the Slovak Republic). Then, the dendromass is sold from the roadside landing to customers who are going to transport and process it at their own expense. The second scenario considers sales of assumed amounts of left dendromass including brush to customers who will provide for its transport and processing on the identified roadside landing within a set deadline under obligation to return the site to its original condition if there is possible damage. In this case, Lesy SR would be only a control body supervising labour quality and set-up technological procedures.

Decolonisation of knowledge enhances Africa’s contribution to the global knowledge commons, augmenting both theory from the global South and its universal value. In this paper, I apply this insight to affirmative action policies. Affirmative action claims to facilitate socio-economic mobility and that this avoids the most extremely perverse inequalities. owever, the gross brutalities of conquest, dispossession, racial genocide, slavery, slave trading, colonialism and apartheid demand a decolonial critique of affirmative action. This applies not merely to affirmative action as policy, but perhaps much more significantly, as practice. Indeed, I reject affirmative action for South Africa, if not for the entire globe (the latter position would raise an argument that is beyond immediate focus). This personal ‘decolonial turn’ from affirmative action foreshadows my advocacy of such concepts as ‘wholeness’ and ‘reparation’, which I conceptualise as a return of something to its original condition plus satisfaction for the interim rupture. Wholeness and reparation in this particular setting require replacement, atonement, restoration and restitution to remedy the sense and reality of injury flowing from the gross brutalities listed earlier. I argue that such concepts are the ideal remedy for the South African condition and need that my analysis details. This move from affirmative action to reparation affirms the inside-out posture of decoloniality, insistent as it is on African agency, on ‘centring’ Africa and on ‘provincialising’ the exogenous.

This chapter discusses the most important decisions about property rights in American law: the Lake Front Case of 1892. It argues that the decision stands for the proposition that certain critical resources, most notably those associated with navigable waterways, must remain under the control of public authorities. The chapter examines how the central device of the Lake Front Case — the public trust doctrine — became a product of the exigencies of litigation. It also introduces Justice Stephen Field and his doctrinal basis to defeat the Illinois Central's powerful vested rights argument. The chapter then highlights the significance and consequences of the enactment and repeal of the Lake Front Act. It analyses how the public trust doctrine was not deployed in the litigation to freeze the submerged land in its original condition. Ultimately, the chapter reviews the longstanding controversy generated by the Illinois Central's presence on the lakefront.

Considering that Husserl identifies passivity as the general principle of genetic dynamics and as given prior to any intentional activity, the original condition of possibility of such passivity must be clarified. Phenomenological analysis can successfully attest the presence of a drive-habituality operating prior to the level of the I, an instinct-character, thus, that raises the question about life as auto-affective capability. In the framework of a universal monadology the latter’s teleological orientation must be questioned in order to avoid that both the limes constituted by the unconscious as well as affective being remain indeterminate and anonymous, which would not do justice to the transcendental rootedness of drive and instinct through the form of ipseity.

AbstractTraumatic dental injuries account for majority of maxillofacial injuries affecting soft tissues as well as maxillofacial bones. History of immediate local measures employed to reduce the severity of injury helps in eliciting information regarding the original condition of the injured area. Time elapsed post trauma plays a major role in determining outcome of the intervention. Goal of the treatment is directed towards achieving the pre-traumatic occlusion and intra arch contour.
