The COVID-19 pandemic has forced major changes in the world of education. The application of social distancing to learning from home makes educators must be more creative in learning. The use of appropriate media in learning is very important to overcome these problems. One of the media used is android-based learning media. This research is continuation research of android application design in the subject of structure and function of amino acids and proteins. This research is limited to media validation. The instrument validation test stated that the instrument was valid with rcount greater than rtable at the number of N = 34 and a significance value of 5%. The reliability test of the validation instrument shows the rcount value of 0.880 and is greater than rtable 0.339 at the number of N = 34 and a significance value of 5%. The score of the questionnaire instrument was 3,196 obtained by averaging the scores from each category. It is in the range of 2.9-3.4 with a high category so that it can be interpreted that the application can be used as a learning media of the structure and function of the molecule.

Objective: To identify and describe the instruments for assessing knowledge about risk factors and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Methods: This is an integrative literature review conducted in the months of May 2019 and June 2020, through searches at the LILACS, MEDLINE and SciELo databases, using the descriptors knowledge, cardiovascular diseases, risk factors, prevention of diseases and validation studies. The sample included instrument validation studies, published in the years 2005 through 2019, available in Portuguese, English and Spanish, which answered the guiding question. Results: 12 instruments were found. Most were questionnaires and addressed cardiovascular risk factors and lifestyle, directed to people diagnosed with a Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) and to healthy individuals. Nine instruments were developed and validated in terms of content and construct. Ten studies developed and validated questionnaires and the other studies built and validated scales. The most evaluated CVD was coronary artery disease. Conclusion: Instruments are indispensable strategies for measuring the level of knowledge, contributing to supporting the clinical treatment of patients, planning and evaluating educational health programs and practices Objetivo: Identificar e descrever os instrumentos de avaliação do conhecimento sobre fatores de risco e prevenção de doenças cardiovasculares.

This research is to produce inquiry-based mechanics teaching materials to train critical thinking skills of Physics FKIP students, Pattimura University, Ambon. The research design used the Kemp model (1994) and the learning process was packaged in an inquiry setting with a total sample size of 26 students in the 2020/2021 school year. The data collected were in the form of teaching material validation data, critical thinking skills test instrument validation data, critical thinking skills data, and student response data. The data analysis techniques used include: qualitative descriptive analysis including: the results of validation of teaching materials, the results of instrument validation tests of critical thinking skills, the results of critical thinking skills, and the results of student responses. The results showed that: 1) the validity of the student teaching materials developed was categorized as valid; 2) the validity of the developed critical thinking skills test instrument was categorized as valid; 3) in the percentage of critical thinking skills there is an increase in value from pretest to posttest by more than 40%; 4) Student responses to teaching materials and the implementation of learning are very positive and the lowest percentage is obtained, namely 85% satisfaction with a very good assessment. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the development of inquiry-based mechanics teaching materials can train critical thinking skills of Physics FKIP students, Pattimura University, Ambon.

The analysis of penalty kick has played an important role in performance analysis. The study aims are to get formal feedback on the relevance of variables for penalty kick analysis, to design and validate an observational system; and to assess experts’ opinion on the optimum video footage in penalty kick analysis. A structured development process was adopted for content validity, reliability and agreement on video usage. All observational variables included in OSPAF showed Aiken’s V values above the cut-off (for 5-scale V> 0.64; for 2-scale = V > 0.75; p < 0.05). Cohen’s Kappa resulted in mean intra- and inter-rater reliability values of 0.90 and 0.86, respectively. It is recommended to combine at least three different viewing angles (V = 0.90; p = 0.006) with standardization of video quality (V = 0.95; p = 0.006). Changing the viewing angles may influence the observer perception (V = 0.86; p = 0.006). The aerial and pitch-level viewing angle behind the penalty taker and pitch-level viewing angle behind the goalkeeper were indicated as most appropriate for observational analysis (V = 0.97; p = 0.01). The OSPAF met all requirements of instrument validation. It may be recommended as basis of future observational systems on penalty kicks.

Prominent terrorism case studies of individuals such as Omar Mateen, Dylann Roof, and Mohammed Merah indicate the need for personality trait-based terrorism risk assessment/threat assessment (TR/TA). This chapter provides an overview of Corrado’s, personality-based TR/TA instrument (see Chapter 14) by explaining the origin of each domain and the purpose of inclusion. Furthermore, this chapter displays results from a preliminary instrument validation study conducted on an open-source sample of 158 terrorists. Results of this study suggest strong statistical significance for many of the domains. This suggests the need for future inclusion of personality-based indicators in terrorism risk assessment.
