COVID-19 pandemic spread around the world and changed people's shopping habits. This phenomenon causes much fear and induces panic behavior. In a highly uncertain situation, many people are more likely to engage in impulse buying behavior during this period. Our research aims to examine that impulse buying behavior during the pandemic. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the path analysis technique, which is processed using a computer with a program that has been developed by Preacher-Hayes, namely the Macros PROCESS technique. The research finds that panic buying, government stimulus, perceived scarcity, and fear appeal have a significant direct effect on impulse buying behavior. We went a step further to test the indirect effects. The indirect test supports our hypothesis by using fear appeal as mediating variable. The result indicates that fear appeal mediates between panic buying, whereas impulse buying behavior has no significant effect. Furthermore, fear appeal mediates between government stimulus, and scarcity of essential products has a significant effect on impulse buying behavior.

The backwardation and contango in the futures markets are explained by two popular theories, namely the theory of storage and the theory of risk premium. The investment assets tend to follow the theory of risk premium, whereas the consumption assets are likely to follow the theory of storage. As India is the largest importer of gold, and gold is used for consumption purposes (mostly by jewellers, who store gold as a consumption commodity), we empirically test whether backwardation in the gold market is explained by the theory of storage. We use the indirect test of the theory of storage developed by Fama and French (1988 , Journal of Finance, Vol. 4, p. 1075), calculate the interest adjusted basis (IAB) and test the implications of the theory of storage. We also use two asymmetric models of the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedastic (GARCH) family to understand the asymmetric volatility of IAB. We find that the Indian gold futures markets partially follow the theory of storage; however, we do not find any support of asymmetric behaviour of IAB in the contango and backwardation markets. Our results suggest that in the context of the Indian gold market, keeping inventory has minimal benefits, and gold behaves more like an investment asset.

The existence of Covid-19 which limited society to transact online has made an increment several islamic banks in users and the number of transactions. The aim of this study was to review test how the influence of income, education, and perceived ease of use through attitude against the usage decision of shari’a mobile banking. A Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used to analyze in this study with WarpPLS 7.0 approach. Respondent of this research was general public of Surabaya City. Sampling technique which used in this study was purposive sampling as many as 115 respondents. The result present that perceived ease of use is the most significant factor affecting usage decision and attitude towards mobile banking directly. For the indirect test, perceived ease of use is able to influence the usage decision through attitude. Education and income not significantly influence the usage decision and attitude towards mobile banking directly, neither indirectly.

Through the brief introduction of the working principle of the brake motor, combined with the theoretical analysis of the brake motor dynamic brake torque test method (directtest method and indirect test method), it is concluded that the selection of the test method is closely related. According to the sensor type, installation position, test range and accuracy requirements. The differences between direct measurement method and indirect measurement method are compared, their respective measurement methods are introduced, and their advantages and disadvantages are summarized. According to the test requirements, the appropriate test method can be selected, and the direct test method and indirect test method can be selected at the same time, to ensure the safety and stability of product

Cabbage is one of the commodities that mostly cultivated in Indonesia, but the cabbage farmers often suffered losses because of pests' attack. The important pests on cabbage is Plutella xylostella. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness level of an insecticide with active ingredient carbaryl 85% in controlling P. xylostella which attacks cabbage and its impact on the parasitoid of Diadegma sp. This research uses a randomized block design with six treatments and four replications. The treatments were different concentrations of the insecticide carbaryl 85%. The testing on Diadegma sp. used two methods, directly and indirectly test (residual exposure). The carbaryl 85% was not effective in controlling P. xylostella, but the population was decreasing. The carbaryl 85% with the highest effect in reducing P. xylostella population was 3.0 g/l. The carbaryl 85% did not affect on the mortality of natural enemies (Diadegma sp. parasitoid) after direct and indirect test.

The spirit of Sustainable Development Goals encourages people and institutions including universities to take an active role to attain the goals such as performing sustainable behavior. This research, therefore, is conducted to predict the factors underlying universities’ members to perform sustainable behavior by applying Theory of Planned Behavior. This study distributes an electronic questionnaire to 273 accounting undergraduate students in Universitas Islam Indonesia. All completed questionnaires were analysed by assistance from a statistic tool namely smartPLS version 3. This research discovers subjective norm does not significantly influence intention as well as sustainable behavior, however, the others influence significantly. Indirect test indicates that there are no mediation effects from intention variable in order to mediate the relation between three independent variables to sustainable behavior. This research argues that the insignificant influence of subjective norm to intention and sustainable behavior results insignificant influence of intention to sustainable behavior and generates no mediation effects.
