Building mathematical models that can describe, predict, and explain real-life phenomena is useful. This paper features the functional dependency model and the square of this functional dependency which hold significant information. A mathematical model that relates these functional dependencies with the average value of the function was developed to show that for an arbitrary well-behaved function, the definite integral of the square of the function over a finite interval is minimal when the function is constant over the interval. Finally, the model’s validity and accuracy in representing real-world problems for different situations in physics like mechanics, quantum mechanics, and electricity in economics were evaluated.

Abstract In order to improve the testability design level of radar equipment, achieve rapid detection and isolation of faults, and reduce the life cycle cost of the system, a testability analysis method of radar equipment based on correlation model is proposed. The basic process of correlation model modeling is introduced. On this basis, the optimization method of test points for fault detection and isolation and the generation method of fault diagnosis strategy are analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by applying it to radar transmitting subsystem.

Abstract The paper presents the results of numerical simulation of the distribution of thermal fields during the formation of Cr-Zr surface alloy using a pulsed low-energy high-current electron beam (LEHCEB). The melting thresholds of the Cr-Zr system for different thicknesses of Cr films were calculated. The melting threshold of the Cr-Zr system increases linearly with increasing Cr film thickness. A linear regression dependency model of the melting threshold on the film thickness is proposed. Evaporation thresholds of the Cr-Zr system for different thicknesses of Cr films were calculated. The evaporation threshold of the Cr-Zr system increases linearly with increasing Cr film thickness. A linear regression dependency model of the evaporation threshold on the film thickness is proposed. The value of the LEHCEB energy density at which the lifetime of the film and substrate are equal is calculated. This value is a maximum value for the effective formation of Cr-Zr. A model of the LEHCEB energy density, at which the lifetime of the film and the substrate are equal, in the form of a third-degree polynomial is proposed.

It is a very difficult problem to achieve high-order functionality for graphical dependency parsing without growing decoding difficulties. To solve this problem, this article offers a way for Semantic Graphical Dependence Parsing Model (SGDPM) with a language-dependency model and a beam search to represent high-order functions for computer applications. The first approach is to scan a large amount of unnoticed data using a baseline parser. It will build auto-parsed data to create the Language-dependence Model (LDM). The LDM is based on a set of new features during beam search decoding, where it will incorporate the LDM features into the parsing model and utilize the features in parsing models of bilingual text. Our approach has main benefits, which include rich high-order features that are described given the large size and the additional large crude corpus for increasing the difficulty of decoding.  Further, SGDPM has been evaluated using the suggested method for parsing tasks of mono-parsing text and bi-parsing text to carry out experiments on the English and Chinese data in the mono-parsing text function using computer applications. Experimental results show that the most accurate Chinese data is obtained with the best known English data systems and their comparable accuracy. Furthermore, the lab-scale experiments on the Chinese/General bilingual information in the bitext parsing process outperform the best recorded existing solutions.

With the development of internet of things (IoT) technology, servitization of IoT device functions has become a trend. The cooperation between IoT devices can be equivalent to web service composition. However, current service composition approaches applied in the internet cannot work well in IoT environments due to weak adaptability, low accuracy, and poor time performance. This paper, based on service dependency graph, proposes a top-k QoS-optimal service composition approach suitable for IoT. It aims to construct the relationship between services by applying the service dependency model and to reduce the traversal space through effective filtering strategies. On the basis of a composition path traversal sequence, the generated service composition can be represented directly to avoid backtracking search. Meanwhile, the redundant services can be removed from the service composition with the help of dynamic programming. Experiments show that the approach can obtain the top-k QoS-optimal service composition and better time performance.

There is a massive amount of different information and data in the World Wide Web, and the number of Arabic users and contents is widely increasing. Information extraction is an essential issue to access and sort the data on the web. In this regard, information extraction becomes a challenge, especially for languages, which have a complex morphology like Arabic. Consequently, the trend today is to build a new corpus that makes the information extraction easier and more precise. This paper presents Arabic linguistically analyzed corpus, including dependency relation. The collected data includes five fields; they are a sport, religious, weather, news and biomedical. The output is CoNLL universal lattice file format (CoNLL-UL). The corpus contains an index for the sentences and their linguistic meta-data to enable quick mining and search across the corpus. This corpus has seventeenth morphological annotations and eight features based on the identification of the textual structures help to recognize and understand the grammatical characteristics of the text and perform the dependency relation. The parsing and dependency process conducted by the universal dependency model and corrected manually. The results illustrated the enhancement in the dependency relation corpus. The designed Arabic corpus helps to quickly get linguistic annotations for a text and make the information Extraction techniques easy and clear to learn. The gotten results illustrated the average enhancement in the dependency relation corpus.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the effectiveness of reablement as an outcome-focussed commissioning model within the English domiciliary care market from the perspective of two private domiciliary care agency (PDCA) managers/owners within one local authority (LA) in the North West of England. Specifically, it focusses on owner/managers' perceived ability to effect change from a dependency to a reablement model within the English domiciliary care market.Design/methodology/approachQualitative interviews with two contrasting owners/managers of PDCAs within one LA in the North West of England were carried out. Explorative analysis followed a constructionist grounded theory methodology.FindingsFindings revealed how two main factors interacted to effect change from a dependency model to a reablement model of domiciliary care: internal organisational structure and individual emotional investment of the owners/managers. Additionally, fiscal and external organisational systems impact on these drivers, and are perceived to act as potential barriers to the adoption of a reablement model of domiciliary care by PDCAs.Originality/valueAlthough based on only two idiographic accounts, the findings shed light on the policy and practice of commissioning models of domiciliary care within England and suggest further studies in this area of practice.

Analysis of a dependency model can be furthered by assessing whether a model and/or the impact of regressors on dependent variables differ if heterogeneity is observed. In other words, it may be interesting to assess differences between a global model estimated for a whole group and models estimated for sub-groups identified on the basis of known categorical variables external to the model, as those variables may identify partitions characterized by dependency structure heterogeneity. This is particularly important in decision-making as policies based on the generic model could yield inaccurate and biased results. In this paper, we propose a procedure, the Pathmox approach that exploits the potential of segmentation trees to identify partitions in an initial set of data characterized by different linear regression patterns. We will apply this new approach to measure the visitors’ satisfaction to attend a Spanish football match at the stadium. Thus, we will analyze the relationship between two significant aspects related to the visitors’ satisfaction: stadium service quality and image of the football team, taking into account five visitors’ background variables as potential sources of heterogeneity: age, gender, if they were tourist (yes or not), if it was the first time at the stadium (yes or not), and level of involvement with the football team. From a decision-making perspective, the paper contributes evidence exemplifying how an apparently representative global model can in fact mask different relationships between variables due to heterogeneous data, underlining the importance of accounting for heterogeneity when defining new policies.
