Of the total number of animal diseases, 70–80 % are non-communicable diseases, and more than 50 % are surgical diseases, which cause significant economic damage to the livestock industry due to reduced productivity and premature culling of livestock. Irrational, unbalanced in terms of macro- and microelements, vitamins, carbohydrates feeding leads to metabolic disorders. At the same time, deep destructive-degenerative changes in bones, joints, ligaments and tendons are registered, horn formation in the hooves is disturbed and a less stable horn is produced. Omission in feeding unsatisfactory housing conditions and inadequate care of animals. When such conditions are often supplemented, the outer cover of animals, in particular the hooves, is affected first of all. In the event of inflammatory and dystrophic processes at the base of the skin of the hooves there is a violation of tissue (tubular) and cellular structure. The horn of such hooves undergoes changes in the form of parakeratosis and deformation; this contributes to the spread and accumulation of fungal flora, which shows its pathogenic action mainly due to enzymatic activity and toxic products, which characterizes these microorganisms as a factor in the destructive processes of the hoof horn. With reduced mechanical stability and destroyed by microscopic fungi of hoof horn is more likely to develop aseptic or purulent pododermatitis. Here, the fungal flora is not only a contributing factor in the occurrence of diseases, but also as one of the factors complicating the course of the disease. That is why timely detection and effective treatment of ungulomycosis prevents the complication of the pathological process, which can even lead to culling of animals. The essence of treatment of superficial ungulomycosis is reduced to functional cleaning of hooves and their antiseptic treatment in the form of fungicidal powders, sprays, hoof baths. In deep ungulomycosis, and, moreover, in combination with purulent pododermatitis, treatment includes local anesthesia, orthopedic treatment, antiseptic treatment with isolation, pathogenetic therapy. Prevention of ungulomycosis is based on knowledge of the etiology of the disease and the pathogenetic mechanisms of its development.  Its essence is to form in animals a strong hoof horn, prevent its destruction and eliminate favorable conditions for the reproduction of keratomycetes. This includes proper feeding, proper housing conditions and appropriate animal care.

The emergence, development and treatment of systemic diseases could go along with activation of saprophytic fungal flora, including in the oral mucosa. In such cases, the patients complain of discomfort and soreness in response to irritants. Local treatment is used for mild forms. Generalized candidiasis requires prescribing systemic therapy, which is provided by the general practitioner (primary care physician). The dentist provides topical treatment.

Many cellulose based articles have found their way into human requirements and have become articles of necessity, paper being one such article. Card board and corrugated boxes are used as packing materials universally and alike paper, these are vulnerable to invasion by cellulose degrading fungi. The study in regions of Thane and Bhiwandi cities on the outskirts of Mumbai city in Western coastal part of Maharashtra, India focused on the invasion of cardboard and corrugated paper boxes by fungi. Twenty four species of fungi belonging to 11 genera were found on the deteriorating card board and corrugated paper samples during the study, prominent amongst them being the genus Aspergillus, Chaetomium, Curvularia, Trichoderma, Penicillium, Alternaria and five other cellulolytic fungal genera. Growth of fungi resulted in crumbling of the cardboard at places due to loss of strength. Many of the fungal forms isolated were potential health hazards which was cause for concern.

The leaf surface fungal flora is subjected not only to the influence of the host, but also to its own factors. An important aspect is the production of self incubatory products as well as self stimulating products by the fungal organisms present on the leaf surface. Amongst microorganisms fungi can be a sole cause of spoilage and substantially decrease the quality, grade and price of plant materials. In the present studies leaves were found mainly infected with Aspergillus niger, A. favus , Curvularia lunata, Chaetomium globosom, Penicillum citrinum and Fusarium oxysporum as these six were found on the leaves throughout the study and their incidence degree were quite high.

Fungi are present in abundance in poultry housing. The aim of the study was to assess the effect of season and microclimate parameters in poultry housing on fungal flora in the air and broiler trachea in commercial fattening conditions. The study was conducted in summer and winter. Study results indicated seasonal impact and association between fungal flora composition in housing air and broiler trachea. However, the total fungal count in housing air was significantly higher in summer and in broiler trachea in winter, both significantly correlated with indoor relative humidity and ammonia concentration. There was no significant correlation between outdoor and indoor air temperature, relative humidity and airflow rate, respectively. Study results suggested that environmental determination of fungi should be accompanied by their determination in broilers. In addition, seasonal impact on fungal contamination should be associated with microclimate conditions in the poultry house rather than the season itself. The fungi detected and the results obtained have implications not only for broiler health but also for the health of humans working in such environments.

The aim of this work is to draw the attention of otorhinolaryngologists to the advantages of early conservative treatment of children with hypertrophy of the nasopharyngeal tonsil - adenoids. In childhood, a significant part of the protective and informational functions lies on the pharyngeal tonsil, since it is in the path of inhaled air. Unfavourable environmental conditions exacerbate its functional failure. Pathology of the lymphopharyngeal ring is highly prevalent and occupies a leading place among ENT diseases in children. Each person has a certain own microflora on the nasal mucosa from birth. In most cases, monoflora is determined on the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, and only 2-3% is due to the combination of two types of microbial and fungal flora. For more than twenty years, we have been using the tactics of a sparing effect on the mucous membrane when using medicinal mixtures on a protective basis. Conservative treatment of 245 children aged 3 to 6 years with grade 1 – 2 adenoiditis was carried out, which made it possible to avoid surgical intervention in this group of children. When choosing a drug mixture, the sensitivity of the microflora of the patient’s nasal cavity was considered according to the results of a smear from the mucous membrane. Adenoidectomy is an operation with potentially undesirable consequences for the whole body, therefore, effective timely conservative therapy can reduce the risks and harms of surgery for pediatric patients.
