Wearable global position system (GPS) technology can help those working with older populations and people living with movement disorders monitor and maintain their mobility level. Health research using GPS often employs inconsistent recording lengths due to the lack of a standard minimum GPS recording length for a clinical context. Our work aimed to recommend a GPS recording length for an older clinical population. Over 14 days, 70 older adults with Parkinson’s disease wore the wireless inertial motion unit with GPS (WIMU-GPS) during waking hours to capture daily “time outside”, “trip count”, “hotspots count” and “area size travelled”. The longest recording length accounting for weekend and weekdays was ≥7 days of ≥800 daily minutes of data (14 participants with 156, 483.9 min recorded). We compared the error rate generated when using data based on recording lengths shorter than this sample. The smallest percentage errors were observed across all outcomes, except “hotspots count”, with daily recordings ≥500 min (8.3 h). Eight recording days will capture mobility variability throughout days of the week. This study adds empirical evidence to the sensor literature on the required minimum duration of GPS recording.

A battery powered transistorized lightning stroke counter which can record lightning strokes to ground was developed. This counter is sensitive to positive pulses within a frequency band of 100 to 2500 Hz and has threshhold levels from 10-100 volts which can be set by an attenaator. The minimum duration between Successive pulses which can be counted is 0.5 sec. It weighs about 4 kg and its dimensiona are 150 mm x 150 mm X 175 mm.

Abstract Musa laterita is one of the dwarf statured, ornamental Musa species, which belongs to the section Rhodochlamys. It is immune to Sigatoka leaf spot and Fusarium wilt diseases and also exhibits tolerance to moisture deficit stress. Among the fungal diseases, fusarium wilt especially race TR4 is highly threatening the banana industry worldwide and hence the TR4 resistant gene should be identified on priority for use in banana improvement programmes. Though, it is a wild seeded type which can be easily propagated through seeds, the off springs are not genetically uniform making it unfit for any molecular analysis. In vitro micro propagation of ornamental banana including Musa laterita is limited due to poor multiplication rates compared to commercial cultivars. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to establish an in vitro protocol for plant regeneration from shoot tip explants. Efforts were made to enhance the multiplication efficiency using MS media fortified with BAP, TDZ, NAA, IAA and IBA in different combinations so as to obtain maximum numbers of plantlets in minimum duration. The plantlets produced would be used to study the molecular mechanism behind Fusarium wilt resistance (TR4), through transcriptome analysis.

Abstract Seismic vulnerability index is one of the key factors in mitigation that shows the vulnerability of the soil layer beneath when passed through with a wave, the more vulnerable the soil layer, the more damage it done when an earthquake happens. Seismic vulnerability is calculated using two variables, that is dominant frequencies and amplification that are obtained by analyzing HVSR curve. HVSR are used to determine the dominant frequency by determining the maximum amplification in that area. HVSR curve is obtained by measuring microbemor data in 163 spots with 30 minutes-minimum duration in Cilacap with a portable seismograph. Mierotremor is a natural vibration that is caused by continuous vibration that come from beneath the surface, sometimes mixed up by the vibrabon that is caused by human activities such as pipe-flow, vehicles, etc. Thus, the purposes of this research are to determine which area is more vulnerable than others, based on the seismic vulnerability index, so it could be a reference for regional development to classified is it safe or unsafe to build in that area, remembering Cilacap is one of the most developed Districts in Central Java.

Abstract Digital contact tracing has been suggested as an effective strategy for controlling an epidemic without severely limiting personal mobility. Here, we use smartphone proximity data to explore how social structure affects contact tracing of COVID-19. We model the spread of COVID-19 and find that the effectiveness of contact tracing depends strongly on social network structure and heterogeneous social activity. Contact tracing is shown to be remarkably effective in a workplace environment and the effectiveness depends strongly on the minimum duration of contact required to initiate quarantine. In a realistic social network, we find that forward contact tracing with immediate isolation can reduce an epidemic by more than 70%. In perspective, our findings highlight the necessity of incorporating social heterogeneity into models of mitigation strategies. Graphic abstract

Gastrointestinal endoscopy is used as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool. Patients receiving antithrombotic agents are at higher risk for bleeding in this procedure. Regarding its thromboembolic versus bleeding risk, physicians should consider to adjust antithrombotic therapy in patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopy. Some important factors including the urgency of the procedure, bleeding risk from the procedure and antithrombotic itself, and the risk of thromboembolic events during endoscopy if antithrombotic is to be stopped need to be considered wisely. Based on recommendations of ASGE, ESGE, and BSG, endoscopic procedures were divided based on the level of emergency, namely elective and urgent. In elective endoscopy with high risk of bleeding and thromboembolism, antithrombotic therapy is given in the minimum duration required and then discontinued before the procedure. In elective endoscopy with low risk of bleeding and thromboembolism, antithrombotic can be continued as usual. In urgent endoscopy due to gastrointestinal bleeding, all antithrombotic should be discontinued. Antithrombotic can be restarted within 48 hours after the procedure if no bleeding is evident

Problem setting. On-call work is today a poorly-investigated by science of labor law form of non-standard employment. Since 2019, there are several draft laws developed in Ukraine that deal with on-call work. These drafts describe it such as employment contract with non-fixing working hour. The latest draft No. 5161 of 25.02.2021 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the regulation of some non-standard forms of employment" has been submitted to Parliament. This bill was developed according to the Directive (EU) 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union. However, we believe some provisions of this bill on the establishment of working time need further adaptation. Analysis of resent researches and publications. The issue of legal regulation of non-standard employment has been analysed by V.Venedidikov, N. Vyshnevska, I. Gorgoriev, I. Kiselev, A. Lushnikov, D. Morozov, O. Mozna, N. Nikitina, O. Process, O. Rimkevich, V. Soyfer, M. Sorokishin, O. Yaroshenko. On-call work was the subject of doctor’s and candidate’s thesis of V. Gnidenko, O. Korkin, O.Pilipko, M. Shabanova. At the same time a number of legal problems were arised after the project No. 5161 had been adopted. For instance, peculiarities of the establishment of working time, the legal regulation of new legal categories in an employment contract with non-fixed working time need further adaptation. Аrticle’s main body. In the employment contract with non-fixing working hour the maximum working hours of the employee is determined, fixed in the contract, however the minimum working time is not defined due to the fact that the employer does not have a duty to provide employee work. The minimum duration of working time defined in the draft law depends only on the amount of the wage or compensation for staying in a state of waiting. In order to strengthen the coherence of terminology and better reconcile the typology and character of this non-standard employment form with the provisions of Directive (EU) 2019/1152, the draft law should enter and (or) determine the terms, such as a schedule of work, basic hours and days, mode of operation. Conclusions and prospects for the development. In the contract with non-fixed working hours, the installation and distribution of working time has specific features: maximum duration of the employee's working time is determined, fixed in the contract, and the minimum working time is not determined at all, since the employer does not have a duty in the employer to provide employee work. The minimum duration of working time defined in the draft law depends only on the amount of the wage or compensation for staying in a state of waiting. In such an employment contract basic days and hours should be establishes, that is, a time interval when an employee must perform its labor duties in case of a demand. The employee's calling on work, in turn, must be carried out by the employer in compliance with the conditions established in the contract itself (for example, the method and minimum term of the employee's notice of the start of work). The mode of operation is predictive to the employee, the one can predict "theoretically" that he can be called on in certain days and hours. The schedule of work with each call on work is really unpredictable. This schedule should be agreed between the employee and the employer before the work is started, although we believe such agree does not matter because the schedule is made within the basic days and hours that are already known to the employee.

Abstract Aim Fasting before general anaesthetic aims to decrease the volume and acidity of stomach contents during surgery, which therefore reduces the risk of aspiration. This is a second cycle closed loop reaudit which had implemented Nil by mouth (NBM) guidelines during the first cycle as an intervention to improve knowledge. Preoperatively, adult patients should remain fasted for a minimum duration as below: During the second cycle interventions were included such as: teaching to junior doctors and nurses including specific teaching during induction of new surgical doctors and posters displaying the NBM guidelines were placed in surgical wards. These were carried out despite restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method The same questionnaire was redistributed amongst staff members (nurses and HCA) throughout various surgical wards and junior doctors. Results were compared with the initial audit during this second cycle to assess whether any improvements had been made after implementation of interventions. Results Total number of staff: Conclusions A significant improvement in knowledge and understanding of the NBM guidelines was demonstrated with all members of staff and practice was in accordance with NICE guidelines.
