Suppression of vitrinite reflectance is a well-known phenomenon and, if not recognised and corrected for, could potentially have a big impact on the results of thermal history and basin modelling, and seriously affect exploration decisions. The Malay Basin is known to have shown evidence of vitrinite reflectance (Ro) suppression in a selection of wells that were also analysed using the FAMM (Fluorescence Alteration of Multiple Macerals) technique. Analysis of available data suggests that potential vitrinite reflectance suppression may be identified using an empirical regression line which separates “suppressed” from “normal” Ro values based on the FAMM data. The “FAMM minimum regression line” was used to screen through Ro data from 142 wells (drilled between 1969 and 2005) in the Malay Basin and it is estimated that a quarter of those wells might be affected by suppression. Possible suppression was also noted in the Penyu Basin, where bottom-hole temperatures in some wells are consistently higher than Ro-derived temperatures. The regression line could be used as a tool for quick screening of legacy Ro data for potential suppression of vitrinite reflectance. At the very least, it could raise suspicion about the quality of the Ro data and trigger further investigation as to whether the suppression is “real”, and help justify additional or specialised laboratory analyses such as FAMM and VIRF (Vitrinite-Inertinite Reflectance and Fluorescence) to correct for suppression.

In this era, the news is a medium to share the information and some newspaper companies had already made the E-Paper. There are some problems discussed in this article such as the type of persuasive technique and its function used in The Jakarta Post daily e-paper and meaning consists in the persuasive technique. The collected data were analyzed by applying descriptive qualitative method. In the analysis, persuasive language technique and its function were comprehensively analyzed based on theory from Walton (2005) and the meaning used theory from Leech (1981). There were seven types of persuasive language techniques found in The Jakarta Post daily e-paper. The use of adjective is a persuasive language technique that is often used in The Jakarta Post’s news that published on 21st September 2020 until 25th November 2020.

lection rules have been regulated in Law no. 7 of 2017 where this rule contains imperative norms. The imperative norm talks about the rules that prohibit the practice of money politics during the electoral process. A rule is made to implement the function of controlling behavior in social and political life, when the rules are violated, the perpetrator will face legal proceedings and receive appropriate sanctions. Money politics and elections in Indonesia are commonplace for all people and are even considered to be cultured and inseparable. This research was made with the aim of reviewing imperative norms in the implementation of ineffective elections in preventing money politics practices. This study uses a qualitative research approach with triangulation technique analysis. From this study the authors found that the power of normative law in election activities in Indonesia is still relatively weak and a number of political practices continue to occur so that they can tarnish the democratic process.

Background: The performance outcome model in qualitative technique analysis can determine the mechanical interactions between a performance outcome and the factors that yield such results in sports techniques. Very little attention has been received for badminton forehand shots for such model work, considering the significance of this technical skill as fundamental to play badminton and as important offensive shots. Objective: This study proposes a performance outcome model that associates performance criteria and relevant mechanical variables in the badminton forehand shot technique. Methods: Literature review provided the basis of model development. The Literature research in this paper was conducted in the following databases; PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar Medline, Pedro, and Cinahl. An additional search (including relevant grey literature) was also done on the internet through ResearchGate. Relevant literature research related to the keywords such as biomechanics of badminton, badminton forehand shot, biomechanical analysis, badminton performance, racquet sports, performance indicators, technique analysis and technique models were included and reviewed. Results: The results managed to present a synthesis of the literature review and provided constructive discussions as a basis to propose a performance outcome model that illustrates mechanical interactions that contribute to badminton forehand and shot technique performance. Conclusions: This model manages to find mechanical relationships and allows for a better grasp of understanding the association between performance criteria and mechanics in the badminton forehand shot technique, which is bases on the kinetic chain principle through the body segmental coordination.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the realization of intertextuality occurences in sari matua ceremony. This research is conducted qualitatively by applying technique analysis of Bazerman. The data are utterances which delivered by the speakers in the ceremony and transcribed into transcription. Sari Matua is one kind of death ceremony in batak toba culture and has been studied in other particular field of study. In this study, intertextuality occurrence are studied on oral discourse in Sari matua batak toba ceremony. Sari matua batak toba ceremony consisted of two sessions which are Martonggo Raja and  main ceremony and this study focuses on these two sessions. The result of this study shows that there were 50 specific data found from 82 specific data which included kinds of intertextuality namely qutotation, reference, and allusion. The realization of intertextuality occurences in sari matua Batak Toba ceremony is realized by some elements of intertextuality itself. The realization  Quotation is identified through the presence of lexical expressions such as mandok, manungkun, hatahononku, di dok, pinasihat. Reference is identified by seeing clause which reflected to, re-contextualized to dan re-accentuated to. Allusion is  identified by clause complex which referring the text to literature, historical art, story, person even place. The intertextuality occurences realized in sari matua Batak Toba ceremony because the text which quoted, referred to and alluded to from the past time can be reflected in ourlives in the present time. Key words:  Intertextuality, Oral Discourse, Batak Toba Ceremony, Sari Matua

Abstract This study aims to analyze the use of types of pronouns in fantasy story compositions of seventh grade students of SMP Harjamukti Depok. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used was note reading technique. Analysis of the data used the split and match methods. The results of this study indicate that the use of personal prounouns is more dominant than other pronouns. This is because the personal pronouns has the potential and plays a role in developing essays that tell humans as characters, especially in fantasy stories. Keywords: Pronouns, fantasy stories, student essays.
