Process facility operations are equipped with flare system to dispose flammable, toxic, or corrosive vapors to an environmentally acceptable gas for release to the atmosphere from both normal operational venting and relief during abnormal conditions. For safe incineration and radiation considerations flares are located at a remote point from the plant. Flare system when designed is to be limited for a certain capacity for a relieved gas; in addition, it may be designed in excess for future process facilities which may be further added to an existing one. KHALDA Petroleum Company is an owner company of oil and gas plants in Egypt. The company started a remote facility in 2005 named as "QASR start of line" which equipped with a limited flaring system capacity of 416,800 kg/hr for each flare related to phases PH-1 and PH-2. After 10 years of operation the wells depletion occurred which affected the production capacity and hence the company decided to maintain the productivity. A new compression project is designed to improve recovery as the reservoir production rate and pressure decline. The new compression project facilities vent and disposal need a flare system in case of the emergency. This paper discusses two different scenarios available for connecting the new compression project facilities vent and disposal system either to the existing flare systems or to another destination, which better, safer and more economic

Abstract Hyperpolarization by dissolution dynamic nuclear polarization (dDNP) has brought highly sensitive magnetic resonance to reality and has triggered the development of a plethora of promising applications in spectroscopy and imaging. Unfortunately, some severe limitations still restrain its widespread use, amongst which the experimental complexity, the need for trained personnel, and excessive prices. Broad democratization of dDNP would require remote preparation of hyperpolarized samples in dedicated facilities and transport over long distances to the point of use. We have recently pioneered a new concept in which transport over hours was enabled by formulation of 13C-labelled molecules into micro-crystallites. However, the proposed methods lacked both versatility and biocompatibility. Here, we propose a new approach relying on a new generation of hyperpolarizing polymers (HYPOPs), extremely easy to synthesize, and that bear a dual function. Arbitrary solutions, easily impregnated into these radical-containing porous HYPOPs, can be hyperpolarized within 20 min with a polarization level exceeding P(13C) > 25% in the solid state, and further stored for hours in view of transport to a remote point of use.

The effect of three phyto modules – different combinations of indoor plants with the pronounced phytoncide activity – on the qualitative and quantitative composition of microflora in the air and on a decrease in the risk of acute respiratory diseases (ARD) in children was studied during autumn and winter in 2018-2020 in child care preschool institutions. Sanitary descriptive, epidemiological, sanitary bacteriological and statistical methods were involved. Observation revealed higher attendance rate in the observation group, in combination with lower recorded incidence of disease in comparison with the reference group. The fraction of facultative microflora (FM) with respect to the total microbial count (TMC) was about 30 % in the rooms equipped with phyto modules, while the ratio was 60% in the rooms without plants. The degree of antimicrobial activity depended on the assortment of plants and on the total leaf area per unit room volume. The phytoncide effect of the plants was traced to the most remote point of the room under investigation – 3 m. A favorable factor was an increase in the relative air humidity from 26 to 40%.

In the Amur River, there are two ecological forms of pond smelt Hypomesus olidus: anadromous and freshwater. Generalized information about biology and fishery of the anadromous form of pond smelt is presented. The smelt migrate to the Amur for spawning in winter and spring, and for wintering in autumn. The most remote point of their spawning migration is Bolbinsky cliff (375 km from the mouth). The spawning herd is represented by three age groups: 2-, 3-, and 4-year-old fish; the two-year-old fish are the most numerous. The sex ratio of spawning smelt is close to 1 : 1, though females prevail slightly. Body length of the pubescent fish ranges from year to year from 7.6 to 13.2 cm, body weight — from 3.05 to 16.04 g; females are slightly larger than males. Absolute fecundity of pond smelt ranges from 0.7 to 12.4 thousand eggs, relative fecundity — from 199 to 1287 eggs/g. During migration to the spawning grounds, the smelt practically do not feed, but they go to active feeding after spawning. Pond smelt is a popular object of fishery in the Amur basin: on average 1569.2 t were caught annually in 2010–2019, during the spawning migration, mainly in the lower Amur River between Nikolayevsk-on-Amur and Bogorodskoe.

Abstract Photonic sensors receive an increasing global attention focusing on critical applications such as the protection of the environment, the health and safety of the citizens. In this work we are concerned with sensing of gaseous environments and focus on a novel class of nanocomposite sensor materials, which are capable to react to external stimulant-agents. These interactions amend their optical properties, fact which provides the means for optical detection. An unpowered sensor device is thus formed, which is interrogated optically and remotely to provide quantitative detection of the “agent”. “Sensing-by-light” thus unfolds the emerging conceptsof “Remote-point Photonic Sensors (RPHOS)”,we review and revisit in this work. The method offers unique means for spatially localized, real-time, multivariable sensing. This “point-in-space” detection may be contrasted to opticalpath- integrating LIDAR operations. Synergy with diffractive and holographic approaches enhance detectability and offer further innovative modes of operation. The low cost of this unpowered sensor-head, the flexibility of fabrication, the capacity for parallel / multiplexed/ data transmission and the immunity to electromagnetic interference, makes this technology ideal for use in harsh and adverse environments of industrial and security applications.

We consider remote points in general extensions of frames, with an emphasis on perfect extensions. For a strict extension ?XL ? L determined by a set X of filters in L, we show that if there is an ultrafilter in X then the extension has a remote point. In particular, if a completely regular frame L has a maximal completely regular filter which is an ultrafilter, then ?L ? L has a remote point, where ?L is the Stone-C?ch compactification of L. We prove that in certain extensions associated with radical ideals and l-ideals of reduced f-rings, remote points induced by algebraic data are exactly non-essential prime ideals or non-essential irreducible l-ideals. Concerning coproducts, we show that if M1 ? L1 and M2 ? L2 are extensions of T1-frames, then each of these extensions has a remote point if the extensionM1?M2?L1?L2 has a remote point.
