Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental condition that involves persistent challenges in social interaction, speech and nonverbal communication, and restricted/repetitive behaviors. The effects of ASD and the severity of symptoms are different in each person. Autism differs from person to person in severity and combinations of symptoms. There is a great range of abilities and characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorder — no two children appear or behave the same way. Symptoms can range from mild to severe and often change over time .

Based on the Corpus parallèle de Textes Littéraires (CTLFR-LT), consisting of French fiction texts and their translations into Lithuanian, the present article aims toshow the functional versatility of the French verb finir ‘to finish’. The paper focuses on the following particular constructions:S((in)anim) + finir + (GN);S((in)anim) + (en) finir de + V(inf);S ((in)anim) + finir par + V(inf);pour finir. While retaining its literal meaning, the verb finir ‘to finish’ exhibits a great range of modally marked uses. These uses, considered peripheral in the majority of French monolingual and bilingual grammars or dictionaries, nevertheless appear to be statistically very significant in the present dataset. The study shows that the verb finir ‘to finish’ can be used as a component of various constructions in which it loses its core lexical meaning and functions as an adverbial or discourse connector. The analysis of the data of the corpus Corpus parallèle de Textes Littéraires merely confirms the fact that the constructions under consideration can have a two-fold reading: the adverbial function of time and the function of a sentence adverbial.

Abstract M. ceratonia is a fast-growing perennial multi-stemmed vine that is considered a weed in Puerto Rico (Vélez and Overbeek, 1950). The species is able to grow in a great range of habitats including fencelines, roadsides, pastures, brushy pastures, wooded drains, forest edges and openings in secondary forests. Consequently, it has the potential to spread much further than it has to date, both inside and outside its native range. Seeds are easily dispersed by the pods clinging to clothing or to the fur of animals, and they can remain viable for several years (Francis, 2000).

AbstractRonald Blythe is often seen as Britain’s finest living rural writer. He has published over thirty books, some of them, like Akenfield and The View in Winter, widely acknowledged as classics, inspiring a film and follow-up books by others. His literary output has been extraordinary: novels, short stories, poetry, rural documentary writing, oral history, ‘parish’ writing, religious books, his own autobiographical work (among a remarkable milieu of creative people), and historical studies ranging from the seventeenth to the twentieth centuries. He has also edited a great range of authors and types of writing. Ronald Blythe is especially an East Anglian author, writing about that English region, in whose work the local and the religious are often to the fore. As this famous author approaches one hundred years of age, this article is a forthright academic appreciation of his work, a discussion of its themes and impressive variety, and an analysis of the meanings and importance of his writing to modern readerships.

Amid a continuous and evolving offer of new services, the hospitality industry is immersed in a highly competitive changing environment, being differentiation an essential strategy to survive and gain a competitive advantage. As a consequence, a differentiation strategy is continuously being defined and adapted. Beyond the vertical differentiation, focused on objective quality signals, horizontal differentiation offers more chance and alternatives to hoteliers for using own resources and capabilities to gain a competitive advantage. In particular, product analysis and competition evaluation are a must-be to offer a value proposition co-created with the customer. Considering the great range of services, and the need to compute all properly and understandably, this work aims to design and index that can integrate all services of a hotel and allow comparison to evaluate the level of differentiation.

AbstractThe giant river prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), native to rivers and river mouths of different Asian countries, is a heavily widespread species that has been introduced around the world due to its great commercial importance. These prawns are farmed under many different conditions that might translate to a great range of light environments, which impact their behavior and productivity. Here, as a contribution for prawns’ welfare and economical productivity, we present the first study employing both visual modeling and behavioral data to evaluate ontogenetic changes on color preference of juveniles and adults of M. rosenbergii. For this purpose, we offered ten shelters of different colors to juveniles and adults and registered their preference. Our results showed that the criterion for shelter preference changed with ontogeny, since juveniles chose shelters based on chromaticity (preference for blue), while adults based their decisions on brightness (preference for dark gray). This preference of adults for dark colors is probably associated with a light avoidance behavior. We recommend providing blue shelters for juveniles and dark shelters for adults.

Striking depictions of motion in the Metamorphoses come readily to mind: Daphne, Actaeon, Daedalus and Icarus…. The motion shows copious diversity more than rigorous structuring, as in the Iliad. Wandering motion is frequent; a great range of spaces is covered. But the poem is interested in motion as a state of the universe, as Pythagoras’ philosophical speech brings out. The relation of metamorphosis to motion is manifold and complex; motion is connected to life and type of creature. Imagined possibilities of motion are important as well as narrated movement. The interest of the poem in motion is indicated by the frequency of moueo and motus there as compared to Aeneid and Fasti. Passages discussed include Niobe turning to not quite unmoving stone, supremely fast animals in impossible competition, the girl Iphis becoming a man and moving like one, Medea contemplating a voyage, Myrrha moving towards her father’s bedroom, Dis abducting Persephone. The depiction of motion is thus related to paradox, puzzles, refined observation, thought, morality, hierarchy. Motion is made conspicuous by drastic differences (as between the Greek army and snake and birds). The gods’ motion is both universal and individual (Venus briefly takes up Diana’s); more philosophically universal is the movement of time. The diversity of motion is held together by the flair of style.

<p>The Nothern German basin was considered aseismic in most of the seismic hazard maps of last century. Then seismic events occurred in the last decades, and were located in the vicinity of gas production. Until now more than 70 earthquakes are documented with magnitudes ranging from ML 1.0 to 4.5. Especially the 2004 Rotenburg ML 4.5 event caused much concern, and first locations of different authors disagreed in depth. Dahm et al (2007) argued for 5 km depth close to the horizons of gas production, and suggested a depletion-induced event. Macroseismic studies and other authors, however, determined focal depths of 8-12 km, clearly below gas production.<br>Within the last 15 years new stations from BGR (Bundesanstalt für Geologie und Rohstoffe) and the BVEG (Bundesverband Erdöl, Erdgas und Geoenergie e.V.) were established in the region between Cloppenburg and Soltau. Our own work is based on a small-scaled, but dense network with arrays and single stations that were installed from 2014 to 2018 in the eastern central part of the gas fields near Rotenburg. Results resolve that seismic activity can occur in a great range of depths down to 30 km, and it is not exclusively focussed on the reservoir horizons. We found strong dependence of depth determinations from parameter settings – notably vP/vS – and station selection. Besides obvious mis-locations of weak, low SNR events based on few phase readings we also traced this dependency back to the 2004 Rotenburg event which at that time was recorded only by a sparse network of remote stations.<br>In summary, the Northern German basin offers a complex regime of weak seismicity, ranging from single low-crust earthquakes to frequent, induced events of gas production. The 2004 Rotenburg event does not fit either category, and geomechanical modelling will be needed to decide on its relation to gas production.</p>

This paper reported types of assessments and assessment practices used in Introduction to Literature (ITL) class. Looking at the context and the purpose of the assessment, the principles of classroom learning are to be applied in planning, constructing and administering the tests. The test was also constructed to contain a representative sample of the course, the relationship between the test items and the course objectives to keep up with the content validity. The test has two forms of assessment as dealt in learning contract that are spoken and written forms. The results of students’ assessment can be categorized into several categories: the first category is the students who have good achievement both in spoken and written performances; the second one is for category which the students have great range of different between spoken and written performances; the third category is the students who have the little range of differences between spoken and written performances; and the last category is the students who have got fair achievement both in spoken and written performances.
