AbstractThis research intends to explore the presence of the “turn-of-the-month-effect (TOME)” in the Pakistani stock market. The TOME is the temporary increase in prices of registered shares on the last operating day of the month and the initial 3–4 days of the following month. The selection incorporates the secondary data, which comprises the ending prices of the “KSE-100 Index” for 2013–2018. Contrary to the previous evidence in Pakistan, we run an in-depth year-wise analysis and report an interesting fact that the TOME is significant only during 2013–2016, while it vanishes for 2017 and 2018. We suggest that the “turn-of-the-month” anomaly may disappear during stock market crisis times. The research contains significant importance for potential shareholders because a rational shareholder considers several measures while making his investment decisions and constructing hedging strategies.

BRINGING THE ETHICS OF CHEMISTRY TO THE CLASSROOM AND THE EXISTENCE OF A DOMAIN OF KNOWLEDGE Whoever has attempted to bring ethical discussions on chemistry to a student audience of chemistry and related fields knows of the problem: in contrast to the relatively robust bioethical literature, the literature of chemical ethics is poor, disconnected, and scattered all around the place even in rare cases that it exists. This is an interesting fact, especially if one considers the extended moral (and moralist) discussions over chemistry and its products, and that a great part of the bioethical challenges of the last forty years or so have been generated not by biology (or medicine) per se, but from their marriage to chemistry and its practices. The lack of ethics of chemistry literature dictates to the lecturer unprecedented levels of creativity and demands extra workload to be effective –and this, in times where ethics courses, in general, have become a necessity. It is this gap that the editors of this book (Schummer and Børsen, Ethics of Chemistry: From Poison Gas to Climate Engineering, World Scientific, 2021) have detected, and they strove to create a collection of case studies to cover it. In the introduction of the volume, the editors state teaching as the first aim of its existence –and add the establishment of the ethics of chemistry as an autonomous discipline in its own right.

Kata kunci: Jakarta, Kartografi, Jakarta Pusat, Kebayoran Baru AbstractIt aims to track literary works of Bukan Pasar Malam, Keajaiban di Pasar Senen, Matias Akankari, And Ali Topan Anak Jalanan in Jakarta. The satellite city of Kebayoran Baru was known as the area of “gedongan” people. There were several tourist attractions, namely Bina Ria and Taman Ria Senayan. There was an interesting fact about the busy night life in Jakarta since the 1950s to the 1970s.Keywords: Jakarta, cartography, Central Jakarta, Kebayoran Baru.

This was a case of the 43-year-old male complaining of severe well-demarcated irregular-shaped, centrally non-cleared, extensive, non-scaly plaques with raised borders. The patient was having severe itching all over the body. The interesting fact about this case is that this patient's sweat has had the smell of rotten fish for the last 5 years. This patient is a known case of Fish odour syndrome diagnosed by the presence of trimethylaminuria in his urine 5 years back. The patient informed us that when he didn't have the bad odour in his sweat, he did not develop the above-mentioned lesions of tinea corporis. The patient was very frustrated and socially isolated because of severe itching and the bad odour in his sweat. The role of trimethylamine (TMA) causes bad odour in the sweat, mouth and urine. We don't encounter cases like this very often and we are reporting this case because after a detailed inquiry about the patient's family history the same condition persists with 4 other patient's family members but they did not report themselves as they are mostly less educated, live in a rural area and they don't want to visit any doctor. We want to increase the knowledge of the medical fraternity to deal with these cases in a better way and maybe we are opening a new horizon for the researchers.

We present an analysis of the connotative potential of macrotoponyms Asia, America, Europe, China, Russia, whose emotional-evaluative connotations form a fragment of the value world picture of modern native speakers of the Russian language. The purpose of the undertaken research is to find out onymic and postonymic connotations of the onyms which have taken shape under the influence of political, economical and cultural factors in the Russian society for the last three decades. To evaluate these connotations we analyze the contextual usage of the studied onyms in connotative usage in texts of mass media and journalism. We determine the dynamic of the research macrotoponyms connotations in the designated period. We identify persistent connotations of research toponyms, connotations which are losing their relevance and connotation which are forming last several years. This indicates the mobility of the language consciousness of native speakers of the Russian language, also this shows that this or that connotative meaning of onym is relevant in a certain period of time. An interesting fact is that by macrotoponyms Europe and America positive connotations are replaced by negative connotations. Toponyms Asia, China and toponyms China, Russia has synonymous connotations. Connotations of toponym Europe are often contrasted with connotations of toponym Russia. The obtained results can be used by the lexicographic description of the research connotative toponyms.

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of coverage of the issue of immigration to Spain on the material of the daily social–political newspaper El País which refers to the quality Spanish press. The research carried out within the framework of Media Linguistics using the method of linguistic analysis of the text and the method of cognitive analysis demonstrated a very interesting fact of imbalance between the actual immigrants’ perception in the Spanish society and a certain image artificially created in the media space. The analysis of publications, more than 300 during the year 2019, that were selected according to the theme of publication: national immigration policy, immigration, crimes involving immigrants, immigrants and the Spanish society revealed two key strategies for covering the topic of immigration – the strategy for creating a negative image of the immigrant and the strategy of solidarity. The author managed to identify a sharp dissonance between the real perception in Spain of immigrants and the image of the «enemy» spread by the Spanish media.

The article handels the problem of using the methods of encouragement and punishment as a means of socializing adolescents with deviant behavior. Faced with various difficulties, a teenager may experience difficulties in the process of assimilation and reproduction of social experience that make up the essence of socialization. Against the background of objective difficulties in the process of following social norms, this category of children is faced with a variable pedagogical impact. The main objective of the study was to identify the existing differences in the perception of the effectiveness of the methods of promotion and punishment as means of socialization in adolescents (as objects of education) and teachers (as subjects of education). Materials and research methods In order to identify among teachers, their preferred forms of encouragement or punishment when working with deviant adolescents, at the first stage of the study, we used an author's questionnaire for teachers, which included questions about the teaching experience most often used in working with deviant teenagers of forms of encouragement and punishment, on the effectiveness of using methods of encouragement and punishment with this category of children. In addition, within the framework of this questionnaire, teachers had the opportunity to express a subjective opinion on the advisability of including in the educational process the missing forms of encouragement and punishment. The research sample included 7 teachers, carried out by class teachers in grades 7–9 of educational institutions in Kolomna, Moscow Region. Results of the study Our study allows us to conclude that in most cases the expectations of children associated with receiving the desired promotion are not met, which in turn can subsequently form a negative attitude of the teenager towards the teacher, as well as a decrease in motivation in the performance of a task. In addition, we have identified significant differences between the applied teachers and preferred forms of punishment by children. So, for example, if educators consider the most effective form of punishment as public censure, then children, on the contrary, prefer loyal methods of punishment, talking about such forms as remarking and removal from fulfilling responsible assignments, arguing that public punishment degrades the dignity of the child and causes even greater aggression and a desire to do “everything against”. An interesting fact is that the teachers are against such a form of punishment as “removal from the class”, although the students themselves are not at all against such a measure, explaining this by saying that if the child interferes with the lesson, then he must leave the class.

Data on visual observations of bats in the territory of the Dnipro-Orilskiy Nature Reserve during 2013–2020 are given. The photos that were taken at the same time are presented. From the existing checklist of bats occurring in the reserve, four species were recorded during the mentioned period: Eptesicus serotinus (2 specimens), Pipistrellus pipistrellus (1 specimen), Nyctalus noctula (about 40 specimens), and Pipistrellus kuhlii (about 30 specimens). The most interesting fact is the finding of Nyctalus noctula in November, which is due to the tendency to expand its wintering range. The occurrence of Pipistrellus kuhlii in natural habitats was also revealed, which is uncommon for this species.
