Abstract Imprecise and defective regulations should be eliminated in the operation of vehicles. The article discusses and evaluates the differences in legal acts regarding the requirements for the yellow signal at intersections with traffic lights. Poland has signed the Vienna Convention on signs and signals. When implementing it into Polish legislation, the original provision was changed slightly. The reason for the ban on entering the intersection during the yellow signal has been changed. As a result, an unfavorable situation arises for the driver without a good way out. In addition, a colloquial word was introduced, undefined – “rapid braking”. The changes introduced in relation to the Vienna Convention were analyzed and evaluated. Defects were found and the need and necessity of correction of the applicable provision were reported. The necessity to consider changing the provision in the Vienna Convention was also pointed out. There is a need to provide advance information about an upcoming change. These are activities in the operation of vehicles in road traffic from the area of active safety system. It may be possible to use e.g. a flashing signal in the final phase of displaying a solid green signal on the S1 signaling device for vehicles.

Purpose: substantiation of the design of the cutterbar of the header, providing high indicators of its maintainability and quality of sorghum harvesting. Materials and methods: scientific works on research of cutting devices of headers for grain and forage harvesters were used. In the 2020 harvesting season, the timing of the operation of a sorghum harvester equipped with a segment-finger cutter with an endless knife contour and a segment failure control device was carried out for harvesting grain sorghum of the Premierra variety, on the basis of which the laboriousness of restoring parts and assemblies was determined of the improved cutterbar, an assessment of the quality of plants cutting and grain losses is given. Results. The basic requirements for the design of the cutterbar of the header are given: to ensure high quality of plants cutting of various crops and varieties of agricultural crops; to have low energy consumption, high reliability of the structure in a wide range of operating conditions and high technological performance; to be compact and safe to maintain. The design of the cutting device of the header is proposed, which contains a knife in the form of a chain circuit with segments, a knife drive, a sensor, a control unit, a signaling device, a drive with a brush, while the header speed sensor and an analog-to-digital converter are additionally connected to the input of the control unit, and to the output - a control unit, functionally connected to the chain circuit drive. In the event of segment failures, the control unit receives a signal corresponding to the time the sensor travels a distance equal to the segment setting step on the chain loop tfact.. The control unit compares tfact. with a given t0. If tfact. > t0, then the frequency of rotation of the drive shaft increases until the moment when tfact. = t0. The linear speed of the segments is maintained at the achieved level. When a signal arrives at the control unit corresponding to the time tfact. < tmin, a signal is sent to the control unit to turn off the drive of the chain loop. Experimental studies of a sorghum harvester have shown that the average labor intensity of restoring an improved cutting device is 2.2 times less than that of a segment-finger one. In addition, it was found that the cuttingedge of the header of the proposed design allows mowing broom and grain sorghum at a given cutting height with high quality in case of failure of up to three adjacent segments. Conclusion: a new design of the cutterbar of the header with an endless knife contour, sensors for segment failures and header speed, a control unit, a signaling device, an analog-to-digital converter and a control unit has been proposed, which has the ability to automatically regulate the linear speed of the segments of the ensuring the quality of the cut of plants, determined by agrotechnical requirements.

Introduction/purpose: The paper presents a solution for overcoming a possible problem - breach of safety measures when operating the BVP M80A Infantry Combat Vehicle on a training ground during tactical exercises and shooting at night. The crux of the problem is that the officer in charge of a tactical exercise and shooting is not in a position to observe in which direction the gunner-operator aims because no device has been installed on the BVP M-80A to signal this. Methods: After deploying the vehicle in practice and and on the basis of experience during shooting, it was concluded that there is a problem of controlling shooting at night and in reduced visibility conditions. Results: The paper provides a practical solution to prevent situations such as disorientation, impossibility of observing targets, and turning weapons towards the outside the shooting range boundaries, thus violating the security measures of all participants in the exercise including the BVP M80A unit itself. A technical improvement was implemented on the vehicle by installing a signaling device that gives visual information to the officer in charge of shooting in which direction the weapon is turned. Conclusion: The installed signaling device enables the officer who commands the exercise and shooting to be in control in a timely manner, eliminate possible causes of violation of security measures, and successfully implement the planned activity.

ABSTRACTSince 2005, the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) has become a predominant party in the Bolivian party system. Despite its origin as a small, indigenous, and peasant-based party, the MAS has achieved an electoral performance unprecedented in Bolivian political history. What accounts for its electoral rise? Unlike available explanations based on sociostructural, institutional, or contextual factors, this article argues that ideological location decisions served as a signaling device that allowed the MAS to differentiate itself from its competitors. In so doing, the party managed to transcend the border of ethnic and regional cleavages, appealing to a broader electorate, which contributed decisively to its electoral success. Using data from public opinion surveys and based on statistical models, this article shows that ideology was pivotal in Bolivians’ decisions to vote for the MAS, particularly during the early period of its electoral takeoff.


: A Door bell is a signaling device of your home which is used to indicate the Owner (host) that someone is at your door-step. The problem that is faced today is the touch contact of the Door-bell switch, wherein everyone will have to touch it, not having any other option than knocking or slamming the door. This is a critical issue condition nowadays, when by chance a Corona affected person unintentionally touches the switch, later followed by a healthy person, wherein which it now acts as a source of transmission. A touch less door bell (Buzzer) using sensors will solve this issue, wherein available solutions have Ultrasonic sensors for the same. Similarly this door bell can also produce a strong intensity of signal which can also be used as an alert system, if an intruder is trying to enter, while the host is not in the house. To implement both these together a PIR sensor would additionally be required to enable the Ultrasonic sensor and Sound sensor. The alert system can be controlled by the Host with the help of a Switch placed inside the house. The host is being alerted with a message in both scenarios with the help of a GSM module. All of these controlled by a single microcontroller, and the reuse of PIR and Buzzer, makes it cost effective.

The article focuses on the issue of congested roads in cities. The problems of heavy traffic both large and smaller towns. Some towns in the Czech Republic do not have built bypasses and so there is a heavy traffic congestion at favorite times. Road transport has become one of the most popular forms of transport. This trend is unlikely to change in the near future. The current market offers dynamic traffic management but not with the appropriate effect. Our proposed method belongs to dynamic traffic control based on real traffic control. The proposed method works in real time with the light signaling device behind the monitoring sections. The function of the proposed method is to extend the free passage of the light-signaling device.
