This study analyzes people's access to the use of basic service facilities in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara. Research on the portrait of basic service functions in Kupang City. Kupang City has a high enough potential to advance basic service facilities, but it is not supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure. The absence of these supporting facilities will certainly reduce the quality of basic services in Kupang City. This research provides benefits for the NTT provincial government and can be used as a reference in improving facilities and improving basic services from bureaucrats, because the innovation of this study is the SPM of basic services that are good in accordance with the low conditions of basic service facilities. Research Approaches and Types the implementation of this research uses quantitative descriptive methods using schalogram analysis, because the aim is to describe and describe what it is about a particular variable, symptom, state or social phenomenon. So it is hoped that with better basic services from the bureaucrats, it is expected to improve the bad image of bureaucrats in Kupang City.

AbstractThe freemium sales model, which offers consumers the use of a free-basic service that may later be converted to a paid-premium one, has been widely adopted in the online application industry. More recently, the alternative paymium sales method, which unlike freemium offers the basic service at a fee, has gained popularity. We examine the likelihood of acquiring the premium service under freemium and paymium by (a) analyzing real-world data (N=52,156) from a large online classified real estate service that changed its sales model from freemium to paymium, and (b) conducting a series of controlled experiments with real monetary incentives. We consistently find a greater likelihood of acquiring the premium service under paymium and premium-only methods, as compared to freemium. Examining the behavioral mechanism underlying our robust results, we find that people demand greater compensation for relinquishing a free (vs. non-free) service—beyond the trivial difference in services’ costs. Our findings advance the theoretical understanding of the role of zero (vs. non-zero) prices on consumers’ sequential choices and contribute to practical implementation of effective online sales methods.

Since Southwest Airlines' disruptive innovation was introduced, low-cost carriers (LCCs) have had a prominent impact on the aviation industry. Therefore, considerable attention has been paid to the LCC model. However, it is still not clear whether it is a successful disruptive innovation, or what factors and differentiation points for successful LCC service exist from the passengers' perspective. As this study's methodology, quantitative and qualitative content analyses are conducted using the word-of-mouth data of 1,854 passengers of 20 airlines. This study found that the LCC model is perceived as a successful disruptive innovation from the passengers' point of view. For successful LCC service, LC airlines should offer higher quality services than passengers' expectations using basic service elements. Also, good staff characteristics, leaving a professional impression, and providing good optional services could play a role as differentiation tools.

The 15-minute community life circle (15min-CLC) strategy is one of Shanghai’s important methods for building a global city and facing a society with a more diverse population structure in the future. In the existing research, the balance between the construction of the life circle and the needs of the people in the life circle still needs to be further fulfilled. This paper is based on the city’s multi-source large data set including 2018 AutoNavi POI (Point of Interests), OSM (OpenStreetMap) road network data and LandScan population data set, and evaluates the current status of Shanghai’s 15min-CLC through the fusion of kernel density estimation, service area analysis and other statistical models and proposes relevant optimization suggestions. The results show that there are the following shortcomings: (1) From the perspective of different types of infrastructure service facilities, the spatial construction of Shanghai’s overall life service facilities and shopping service facilities needs to be optimized. (2) From the perspective of comprehensive evaluation, the comprehensive service convenience of infrastructure service facilities in the downtown area is relatively high, while the comprehensive service convenience of urban infrastructure service facilities in the suburbs and outer suburbs is relatively low; The diversity of basic service facilities in the 15min-CLC in the downtown area is more consistent with the population distribution; However, in the peripheral areas of the urban area, too many infrastructure service facilities have been constructed. Based on the above shortcomings and the perspective of supply and demand matching, relevant optimization strategies are proposed in different regions and different types of infrastructure service facilities: (1) focus on the construction of basic service facilities in the urban fringe and urban-rural areas, improve the full coverage of the basic service facilities, and appropriately reduce the number of basic service facilities in the downtown area. (2) The development of community business models can be used to promote the development of new life service facilities and shopping service facilities. (3) Improve community medical institutions through facility function conversion, merger and reconstruction, etc. (4) Optimize the hierarchical basic service facility system and improve the population supporting facilities of basic service facilities in the 15min-CLC. This paper incorporates people’s needs and concerns on the living environment into the 15min-CLC evaluation model, and uses Shanghai as an example to conduct research, summarizes the existing shortcomings, and proposes corresponding optimization strategies based on the matching of supply and demand. This article attempts to explore a replicable 15min-CLC planning model, so that it can be extended to the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, to provide reference for further research on the 15min-CLC, and to promote urban construction under the concept of sustainable development.

Watermelon commodity has the highest productivity compared to other superior fruit commodities in Banyuwangi Regency. However, the land area and production of watermelon commodities are still quite volatile and their distribution is uneven. Therefore, a regional approach for watermelon commodities is needed in Banyuwangi Regency. This study aimed to determine the watermelon commodity base area, the characteristics of the watermelon commodity distribution, and the carrying capacity of the watermelon commodity on fruit horticultural crops in the Banyuwangi Regency. The determination of the research area was carried out intentionally in Banyuwangi Regency. The analytical methods used were Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, localization and specialization analysis, as well as Basic Service Ratio (BSR) and Regional Multiplier (RM) analysis. The results of the analysis show that the sub-district area was the basis for watermelon commodities in Banyuwangi Regency. The characteristics of the distribution of watermelon commodities in the Banyuwangi Regency were not localized. Watermelon farming activities are not concentrated in one sub-district but spread to several sub-districts in Banyuwangi Regency. The results of the analysis of the Basic Service Ratio (BSR) and Regional Multiplier (RM) of watermelon commodities produce more than one value. The existence of watermelon commodity farming activities can support fruit horticultural farming activities in Banyuwangi Regency.

This paper finds and explains the side of the discussion of religion in government regulation no. 111/2014. The results show that there is no vacancy in the discussion of religion in this regulation. One of the functions of guidance and counseling services is understanding, which is to help counselees have a better understanding of themselves and their environment (education, work, culture, and religious norms). In its application, guidance and counseling services in educational units as a whole are packaged into four service components, one of which is the basic service component, where the main objective is an effort to help counselees have awareness (understanding) of themselves and their environment (education, work, social culture, and religion). While the concept of communication guidance and counseling services that religion is a fixed(intended)and services that are not fixed (unintended), which subsequently gave birth to concepts counseling humanism.

The main purpose of the study was to deepen the understanding of gender and social inclusion in the context of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. An explorative qualitative study was conducted in three districts of the Oromia region using gender analysis frameworks. Twenty-one key informant interviews and nine focus group discussions were conducted. Findings showed 52% of households in the study area have basic service level water, 29% have basic service level sanitation, and 14% have basic service level hygiene. Women, girls, and people living with disability disproportionately experience poor access to quality WASH services. Women and girls participate in unequal domestic labor related to water management which often exposes them to discrimination and violence such as rape, abduction, and assault. Overall, women, girls, and other socially excluded groups are rarely consulted and engaged by local actors. This results in incongruent policy and political commitment which limits action at the grassroots level. Integrating gender equality and inclusion efforts into local governance agendas can help to increase access to and the quality of WASH services. These efforts must advocate for moving beyond gender parity to promote gender transformative approaches and inclusion to realize better WASH services for the communities they serve.

AbstractTo determine the optimal network architecture between the Basic Service Set, the Extended Service Set and the Independent Basic Service Set, this study established a new algorithm to assess Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) metrics of different IEEE 802.11 technologies. An important coefficient for each VoIP metric parameter has been invented to rank the different IEEE 802.11 standards and to identify the most efficient one for the VoIP application. The best overall network performance that offers good voice quality is ensured by determining the optimum network architecture and technology. Moreover, for the VoIP efficiency parameters, it meets the acceptance threshold values. This algorithm was implemented in different sizes of rooms ranging from 1 × 1 m to 10 × 10 m, and the number of nodes varied from 1 to 65. End to end delay, jitter, throughput and packet loss were the quality of service parameters used.
