The Krueng Barona Jaya is a sub-district in Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, Indonesia. This sub-district is located near the Ulee Kareng area, Banda Aceh. The Krueng Barona Jaya sub-district has at least more than 16,000 people spread across a number of locations. Most of the residents in Krueng Barona sub-district earn their living as farmers, domestic workers, civil servants, entrepreneurs, and 31.53% have temporary jobs. This situation can be improved by providing various training to residents to help them establish their own or group businesses. The community service activity is intended to improve public understanding about technology of making liquid soap. To achieve this objective the team sincerely helped provided training on the process of making liquid soap for mothers in the family-welfare-empowerment group. The results of interviews with the community and sub-district officials showed that the women of the group were very enthusiastic in participating in soap making training and other similar activities. The results of the discussion indicated that the participants’ mastery of making soap was very good. This training and coaching opens people’s mind to change their habits and thinking patterns.

The study examines tourist attractions and creative experiences of Fethiye, a coastal destination in Mugla, Turkey, based on theoretical overlaps in creative tourism. Creative tourism is suggested as an initiative for sustainability of local lifestyle, unique culture, and authenticity of Fethiye in this study. Therefore, the study was maintained with an exploratory and conceptual viewpoint. The results are presented as Fethiye's tourist attractions (13 categories) and creative experiences (six themes). The prominent creative experiences are specified as house wine, squeeze of olive, cheesemaking, mushroom (morel) picking, agriculture cultivation (local fruits and vegetables), Dastar weaving (geotagging product), carpet weaving (carpet of Kaya), wool spinning, local festivals, traditional bazaars, and soap making. Finally, a creative tour case was offered, and two creative tour routes were proposed in the appendix. The study revealed that creative tourism has importance for sustainability of authentic culture, responsible consumption, and economic development of the local community.

Abstrak   Limbah minyak goreng (minyak jelantah) yang berasal dari sector rumah tangga maupun kegiatan industri makanan dapat memberikan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan dan kelangsungan hidup manusia jika tidak ditangani dengan baik. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan mengadakan kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk mengelola limbah minyak jelantah menjadi barang yang memiliki nilai jual , misalnya sabun. Proses pembuatan sabun meliputi persiapan alat dan bahan, melakukan penjernihan minyak jelantah, pencampuran semua bahan, pencetakan dan pengemasan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat terkait dengan pengelolaan minyak jelantah menjadi sabun melalui beberapa tahapan kegiatan. Dimulai dengan melakukan sosialisasi, penyuluhan, praktek pembuatan sabun dan evaluasi serta pendampingan. Program pemberdayaan masyarakat ini dapat mendukung terciptanya lingkungan yang produktif, ekonomi mandiri dan juga kreatifitas masyarakat. Produk sabun yang dihasilkan memiliki beberapa keunggulan dari produk sabun pada umumnya yakni, ramah lingkungan karena menggunakan bahan-bahan alami sebagai komposisi pelengkap. Memiliki nilai estetika dalam hal bentuk, warna, dan aroma. Kemudian, sabun ini pula merupakan suistainable product yang minim resiko pemakaian. Kata kunci : minyak goreng bekas, sabun, pemberdayaan masyarakat.     Abstract   Cooking oil waste (used cooking oil) originating from the household sector and food industry activities can have a negative impact on the environment and human survival if not handled properly. One of the ways that can be done is by holding community empowerment activities to manage used cooking oil waste into goods that have a selling value, for example soap. The process of making soap includes preparing tools and materials, purifying used cooking oil, mixing all ingredients, printing and packaging. The implementation of community empowerment activities related to the management of used cooking oil into soap through several stages of activity. Starting with socialization, counseling, soap making practice and evaluation and assistance. This community empowerment program can support the creation of a productive environment, an independent economy and community creativity. The resulting soap products have several advantages over soap products in general, namely, they are environmentally friendly because they use natural ingredients as a complementary composition. Has aesthetic value in terms of shape, color and aroma. Then, this soap is also a sustainable product that has minimal risk of use. Keywords:used cooking oil, soap, community empowerment

Used Cooking Oil has a negative impact if it is dumped carelessly into the environment and has a positive impact if one of them is used is soap. In this study, corn cobs were used. This soap-making dedication activity aims to provide knowledge to the public regarding the economic potential of used cooking oil waste and corn cobs, skills training for the community regarding the processing of used cooking oil and corn cobs as laundry soap. The method is carried out in two stages: (a) Making soap with used cooking oil and corn cobs. Soap making is done using KOH as a reactant and fragrance to provide an attractive soap product. (b) Training activities for the community. Before and after training measured participants knowledge and attitudes with the questionnaire. The training activities were carried out in Kampung Sawah RW 06, attended by 16 participants. The Data analyzed univariate to see the characteristics of respondents and bivariate with a postwar test to assess the increase in knowledge and test Mc Nemar to assess the change in attitudes. There were increasing knowledge from an average of 3,52 to 4,08 (P = 0,004). Attitude changes also occurred before the training of positive attitudes as much as 43% to 94% after training (P = 0,021). The increased knowledge and attitudes that are statistic significan are expected to increase the increase in good behaviour in the processing of household waste, especially processing the waste oil and corn cobs.

The aim of this study is to assess the impact of KVK training programmes on knowledge and adoption of rural women about home science technologies. The present study was carried out with the sample size of 260 rural women. These rural women were categorized into two groups, i.e. trained and untrained having 130 women in each. The results of the study that majority of the trained women (60%) belonged to high level of knowledge followed by medium (24%) and low (16%) about detergent and soap making. Data further reported that more number of trained women (60%) belonged to high level of and soap making, Bajra and moth products, aonla products, bakery products and henna products. The adoption followed by medium (20%) and low (20%) level category with respect to detergent and powder making. The overall knowledge level of trained group was high from untrained group in moth and Bajra products, aonla products, bakery products and henna products. With respect to adoption, majority of trained women belonged to high level of adoption in detergent and soap making, moth Bajra products, bakery products and medium level in aonla products and henna products. Out of total variables size of land holding in trained group exhibited significant and positive relationship with knowledge level and family income had shown positive and significant relationship with knowledge level of untrained group as regard to home science technologies. Size of land holding exhibited significant but negative relationship with respect to adoption level of home science technologies. More than forty five per cent of rural women (48.46%) stated that lack of adequate time as their main constraint in adoption of home science technologies.

ABSTRACTAceh Tamiang Regency is one of the districts in Aceh Province that was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The data shows that there are residents of Aceh Tamiang Regency who have been positively infected with this virus. Therefore, one way to prevent the spread of Covid-19 is by washing your hands using running water and soap. The purpose of this activity is to provide outreach to PKK members in Matang Teupah Village, Aceh Tamiang to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Activities carried out by providing training in making liquid hand washing soap for the community, especially members of the PKK Bina Mufakat. It is hoped that from this activity, members of the PKK Bina Mufakata Matang Teupah Village can become village representatives to socialize ways to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to the surrounding community. This activity is also expected to be able to create business opportunities for PKK members and the community. Activities are carried out in 6 (six) stages which include (1) Survey; (2) Identification of potential beneficiaries; (3) Soap Making Test and Organoleptic Test (4) Socialization; (5) Soap Making skills training; (6) Monitoring and Evaluation. This hand-washing soap making training has improved the skills of the community, especially participants in activities amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of the evaluation and monitoring show that members of the PKK Bina Mufakat have contributed to socializing healthy living by diligently washing their hands with soap as an effort to prevent Covid-19 from themselves, their families, and the community.Keywords: Training, Liquid Hand Soap, Covid-19ABSTRAKKabupaten Aceh Tamiang merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang berada di Provinsi Aceh yang terkena dampak wabah Covid-19. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu memberikan sosialisasi kepada ibu-ibu PKK yang di Desa Matang Teupah Kecamatan Bendahara Aceh Tamiang untuk mencegah penyebaran Covid-19. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci tangan cair bagi masyarakat khususnya Ibu-ibu PKK Bina Mufakat. Diharapkan dari kegiatan ini, Ibu-Ibu PKK Bina Mufakata Desa Matang Teupah dapat menjadi perwakilan desa untuk mensosialisasikan cara pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 ke masyarakat sekitar. Kegiatan ini juga diharapkan mampu menciptakan peluang usaha bagi anggota ibu-ibu PKK maupun masyarakat. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui 6 (enam) tahapan yang meliputi (1) Survey; (2) Identifikasi calon penerima manfaat; (3) Uji Pembuatan Sabun dan Uji Organoleptik (4) Sosialisasi; (5)Pelatihan keterampilan Pembuatan Sabun; (6) Monotoring dan Evaluasi.
