This study aimed at investigating the educational philosophies as applied in the elementary school districts in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Philippines. Specifically, this papers explored the mission and vision of the school administrators; the application of which western philosophies in the school districts; and the integration of some Islamic practices in the context of the Muslim region. This also included the current administrative programs to achieve the school vision and the needed policy reforms to address some recurring challenges facing the elementary school now-a-days. Meanwhile, in spite of the guiding philosophies embedded in elementary schools, majority of the school administrators have integrated some Islamic philosophies into the context of administering the school. It was also found to have some major programs and policy reforms to improve the school organizational operation.

One of the top significant variables in management research and indicator of a successful organization is organizational performance. Organizational performance is the most important issue of profit and non-profit organizations (Singh & Kassa, 2016). The performance literally means the quality of work, so organizational performance is a comprehensive structure that refers to the organizational operation (Sadeghi, Ahmadi & Yazdi, 2016). The objective of any organization is not only to survive but also to sustain its existence by improving performance, to meet the needs of the highly competitive markets, thus organizations must continually increase improving performance (Arslan & Staub 2013).Organizational performance has been used widely as the most important criterion in evaluating organizations. However, researchers often pay little attention to what performance is and how it is measured (Caseiro & Coelho, 2019; Soltani, Zareie, Milani & Navimipour, 2018).

ABSTRACT Purpose: To test models of mediation and moderation of the organizational culture, competing values and styles of organizational operation having quality of organizational life (QOL) as antecedent and personal organizational well-being (POW) as consequent. Originality/value: Literature has presented tests of mediation/moderation models to understand well-being of employees and support leadership in the implementation of strategies that fit into the organizational realities. Organizational culture has been used as a component variable of some of those models. However, no publication investigating culture as mediator/moderator of the quality of life/well-being relation was found. Design/methodology/approach: Quantitative, transversal survey employing scales that present evidences of psychometric validity applied to 1,292 employees (81%) of the population in a public organization. Two mediation models and two moderation models were tested through multiple regression. Findings: The results of the linear and hierarchic regression analyses used to test the proposed models showed that, except for the bureaucratic culture, all types of culture had significant power of mediation between the variables of QOL and POW. No moderation relation was found. The empirical evidences of the models tests point out the need for considering cultural traits of organizations in the design of strategies of intervention related to QOL and POW, since some may be more applicable to given cultures and less applicable to others.

This paper aims at pointing out the contributions of Edgar Morin´s complexity theory for the study of the brain. According to Morin, the brain is a unity of multiplicities, “Unitas multiplex,” given that it works through dialog and sociocultural, genetic brain domains converge within it, from which multiple ecosystem religares emerge, which turn it into the core of the phenomenal association, shaping, and reproduction. The brain is polycentric, poly-phenomenal and multidimensional; order–chaos–organization come together as a result of a recursive, recurrent, organizational operation.

Environmental awareness rapidly increased worldwide these recent decades. Likewise, individuals but also business organizations have begun practicing ”Green” initiatives in their organization’s operations to reduce environmental impact. The implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) in the Green Supply Chain (GSC) is an approach to adopt the green initiatives in the business operations that beneficial to the organization, not just regarding the environmental benefits, but economic and social as well. In an example where EMS improves the environmental performance of the organization, previous research suggests that improvements not only occur within the limits of the organizational operation but also need to be extended throughout the supply chain. The effectiveness of EMS implementation in the green supply chain boosts the environmental performance of the organization. Ultimately, EMS and GSCM practices are complementary to each other. Organizations that implemented EMS have more signs of improving the environment not only at the boundaries of their organizations but also across their network of buyers and suppliers. This research explains the debate by empirically assessing the relationship between EMS and GSCM practices.

Water supply for agricultural organizations in sufficient quantity and quality with minimum costs is the foundation of efficient production and raw materials for some industries, as well as the basis for water management.This article discusses the features and operation problems in water supply systems, surpluses on the balance of agricultural organizations. Science-based approaches to optimize the operation of water supply systems are presented in the article.For planning and control of exploitation of water supply systems in agricultural organizations it is recommended to group all repair and maintenance works into stages. These stages vary in purpose, scope and deadlines. One of four designed organizational operating models must be used for delegation of authorities.

Projects, defined as temporary endeavours undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result, have become a common method for initiating and managing change in modern organizations. Once viewed as a specialized organizational operation within some well-understood settings (construction, new product development, oil and gas exploration, and so forth), projects have evolved to becoming the principle means by which both public and private organizations can make positive changes to their operating environment. Hence, the need for project management skills has never been greater, as more and more organizations seek to adopt project-based work as a proactive method for engaging their customer bases. This chapter highlights the key features of projects, including their critical constraints and management challenges. It focuses in particular on both the promising results that effective project management affords organizations as well as the myriad challenges that project managers face as firms adopt project-based work in their operations.

Since the late 1990s, a large number of charity organizations have emerged in China, though there is obvious disparity between their organizational forms and their operations. Although these charity organzations have the form of nonprofit organizations (NPOs), they are in fact part of the goverment system. This paper aims to develop a theoretical framework, namely "organizational operation under incoordinate constraint," to illustrate the operating logic of these charity organizations. The conflict between the government's demand for attaining resources and the need for social control is the institutional origin of the decoupling of charity organizations' form and operation. The decoupling of the organizational form and operation is a common phenomenon, and this theoretical framework could be applied to analyze similar scenarios.
