In this investigation, we report synthesis, spectrophotometric application and antimicrobial activities of 3-hydroxy-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-(4- sulphonamido)phenyltriazene(HCNT) and its Fe(III) complex [Fe(HCNT)2(H2O)2]. The complex has been synthesized by traditional as well as mechanochemical routes. These compounds have been characterized and screened for antimicrobial activity against bacterial strains i.e. E. coli, S. aureus, S. pyogenes, P. aeruginosa and fungal strains i.e. A.clavatus, A. niger, C. albicans using brothmicrodilution method. The results indicate that the compounds may serve as better bactericides compared to fungicides and the molar composition of iron(III) complex was found 1:2 (Fe:HCNT) by spectrophotometric study.

The influence of the molar ratio H2O/SiO2 in the synthesis directly from Bangka Belitung’s Kaolin has been studied by performing synthesis of ZSM-5 with a variation of the molar ratio H2O/SiO2 is different at 15, 25, 30, and 35. Weighing 3.980 g Bangka’s kaolin are added other material so obtained molar composition 10Na2O: 120SiO2: 2Al2O3: 1800-4200H2O, and 1% of silicalite seed, subsequent hydrothermal process of 175°C for 24 hours. The result of solids was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and SEM EDX to the analyzed morphology of ZSM-5 crystal. The synthesis of ZSM-5 was directly optimum with molar ratio H2O/SiO2 of 30 having the highest cristallinity and largest crystal size of 59.44% and 3.795 µm, respectively.

ZSM-5 zeolite was synthesized using diatom mud as the raw material, and then doped with different amounts of Nd2O3. Nd/ ZSM-5 zeolite was synthesized at °C for 24 h after stirring at high speed and aging in the synthesis mixture with the molar composition of 1.5 Nd2O3:25Na2O:150SiO2:1Al2O3:10TPABr:2500H2O.XRD confirmed Nd/ZSM-5 crystal phase. TEM showed that Nd/ZSM-5 zeolite crystal sizes are about 2-4μm. EDS shows Nd/ ZSM-5 zeolites chemical element compound. FT-IR analysis further showed that they are pentacyclic with typical absorption summit of ZSM-5 at about 547 cm-1.

The Dy3+ doped Y2O3-CaO-SiO2-B2O3 glasses with molar composition 25Y2O3 : 10CaO : 10SiO2 : (55-x)B2O3, where x is 0.0 to 0.5 mol%, have been prepared by melt quenching method and are characterized through absorption, photoluminescence and decay analysis. From the luminescent spectra, observed a strong yellow and blue emission from 4F9/2→ 6H13/2 (575 nm) and 4F9/2 → 6H15/2 (482 nm) transition of Dy3+ ions respectively. The tunable white light emission at different excitation wavelengths are investigated through CIE 1931 diagram. The decay curves show the decreasing of lifetimes when addition of Dy2O3 concentration.
