PurposeThis qualitative narrative review aims to identify and evaluate the potential, challenges and pitfalls of pay-for-performance (P4P) schemes for the home care of adults with a disability. Due to a limited experimentation with P4P schemes in the context of the home and disability care sectors, the authors conducted a narrative review focusing on related areas of care, primarily nursing home care, to better understand the effectiveness of P4P schemes as a care intervention and evaluate the challenges associated with the introduction of these schemes.Design/methodology/approachThe authors employed a narrative review approach to examine the effectiveness of P4P schemes as a care intervention. The approach included a manual content analysis of the relevant academic and grey literature, focusing on the potential, challenges and pitfalls of P4P for care funders and providers.FindingsThere is some, albeit limited, evidence from other related areas of care to support the effectiveness of P4P to improve the quality of care or the efficiency of its delivery for the home care sector. The results of prior studies are, however, often mixed and inconclusive, due to flaws with the design of schemes, including the nature of the incentives. Limited duration and poor-quality evaluations have further hampered the ability of studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of P4P schemes, which diminishes the credibility of these care interventions. When undertaken systematically, there seems to be some evidence that P4P can work; however, it requires careful design, implementation, measurement and evaluation.Practical implicationsBased on the challenges associated with the successful implementation of P4P schemes, the authors identified lessons for the design, implementation, measurement and evaluation of P4P schemes for care funders and policymakers.Originality/valueThis study critically evaluates the potential of P4P as a care intervention for the home care and disability sectors. By evaluating the potential, challenges and pitfalls associated with P4P in related areas of care, the study provides guidance to home care funders, providers and policymakers in care settings.

How Information Technology and Information System (IT/IS) has been implemented at an organization or institution needs to measure to evaluate IT/IS implementation. Nowadays, IT is compulsory in business processes. It helps the employee to handle some of their duty. But it needs to measure to monitor how IT/IS aligns with the business. So, that management could decide whether IT/IS is maintained or need to be upgraded or else. There are many ways to measure IT/IS implementation; this article will discuss the maturity level based on Cobit 4.1. It will measure per level from level 0 to level 5. The scope of this research is at business goal 14 and business goal 15 and a case study of this research in Diskominfo at one of the provinces in Indonesia. The result of this research is the maturity level of Business Goal 14, and Business Goal 15 is in Level 3, it means that Define Process.

Child- and family-centered care (CFCC) is being increasingly adopted internationally as a fundamental philosophical approach to the design, delivery, and evaluation of children’s services in diverse primary and acute health care contexts. CFCC has yet to be explored in the context of families and children whose health and health care is likely to be compromised by multifaceted social and structural factors, including racialization, material deprivation, and historically entrenched power imbalances. To date, an equity orientation for CFCC has not been examined or developed. This is a critical area of inquiry, given the increasing evidence that children in families who face such inequities have poor health outcomes. This article examines dominant discourses on CFCC in the context of families and children who are at greater risk of health inequities in wealthy countries, drawing on Canada as a useful example. It outlines an evidence-based approach to equity-oriented care that the authors contend has the potential to orient CFCC toward equity and provide greater clarity in the conceptualization, implementation, measurement, and evaluation of CFCC in ways that can benefit all families and children including those who have typically been excluded from research.

Actually Internet of Things (IoT) applications, from driverless cars, mobile devices, smart homes and smart cities are highly requested by the costumers, obliging telecommunication businesses operators established in countries to provide shortly this significant and inevitable technological leap forward. 5G is the technology that will enable these smart mobile devices to be well connected. These devices are becoming smaller, therefore and because to the high degree of miniaturization and an efficient wireless link, small antennas, which satisfies gain, resonance frequency, wideband, impedance, and low cost are demanded, which dimensions are enough small for be assembled into these kinds of mobile devices. This work proposes a wide bandwidth ranging from 3.1 GHz – 4.2 GHz Slotted Planar Microstrip Patch Antenna, applied to first trials and introduction of 5G services, describing the design, simulation, implementation, measurement and experimental results.

The need for an easy and fast information system is a demand that must be answered in the current management of oil palm plantations. Application Development of Palm Oil Land Management (APLKS) based on Information System Interactive Map is one way to answer these demands. This research was conducted at Palm Oil Plantation of Tinjowan, North Sumatera Province. The purpose of this research is to know the accuracy of mapping and application of Palm Land Management Application (APLKS) in Tinjowan Palm Oil Plantation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection technics used are documentary studies, direct observation, and application development. The analysis result shows that the level of Overal Accuracy (overall accuracy) mapping is 94,64%. The results of application implementation measurement indicate that this application is very helpful for companies in palm oil land management especially in the ease and speed of information access location and condition of plantation.
