The Principal’s Leadership and Performance Result

Teacher performance was currently not optimal; this can be seen from the low learning outcomes of students. one of the factors that influence the success of teacher performance was the Principal's leadership. Therefore, research was conducted that aimed to analyze the Principal's leadership with the teacher's performance. The type of research conducted was descriptive qualitative. The data was collected by interviewing head master, 3 school staff and selected students from 2 students. The data collection methods used are interviews, observations, and documentation. Analysis of the data used analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman. The results stated that good principal leadership in planning, organizing, deploying, coordinating, and supervising will affect teacher performance in performing designing tasks, carrying out learning, assessing learning, conducting guidance, and performing additional tasks. So, the Principal's leadership was good, then the teacher's performance was good, which directly affected the quality of learning. To improve teacher performance, the headmaster must conduct a supervised program to help teachers carried out their duties.

Classification of epileptic seizure using feature selection based on fuzzy membership from EEG signal

BACKGROUND: Feature selection is a technology that improves the performance result by eliminating overlapping or unrelated features. OBJECTIVE: To improve the performance result, this study proposes a new feature selection that uses the distance between the centers. METHODS: This study uses the distance between the centers of gravity (DBCG) of the bounded sum of the weighted fuzzy memberships (BSWFMs) supported by a neural network with weighted fuzzy membership (NEWFM). RESULTS: Using distance-based feature selection, 22 minimum features with a high performance result are selected, with the shortest DBCG of BSWFMs removed individually from the initial 24 features. The NEWFM used 22 minimum features as inputs to obtain a sensitivity, accuracy, and specificity of 99.3%, 99.5%, and 99.7%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, only the mean DBCG is used to select the features; in the future, however, it will be necessary to incorporate statistical methods such as the standard deviation, maximum, and normal distribution.

A Glimpse of Hardware Design Approaches

In this chapter, the authors have described that in order to design the vein enhancement and feature extraction algorithm, different modules such as DSP, embedded processor, hardware accelerator, and FPGA are implemented. Further, it has also been revealed in this chapter that the performance of the vein algorithm implemented on the Nios-II and DSP processor is not considered fast though the DSP processor is designed for signal processing applications. The FPGA is an acceptable choice for researchers due to low-cost factors. The FPGA is implemented for the hardware design of the vein algorithm. However, the performance result was not fast. Furthermore, to cater to the need for better performance, innovative hardware design architecture is the need of the time. It is observed that if there are considerable calculations in the algorithm, the optimization of the algorithm with the parallel processing capabilities of hardware will be a good choice as it can mitigate the error of the calculations.

Study of Academic Performance as a Function of Spirituality

Spirituality is the equality or condition of being spiritual, attachment to or regard for the thing of the spirit as opposed to material or worldly interest.’ The present paper is an attempt to examine the level of spirituality experienced by science and arts stream students and the influence of level spirituality on their academic performance. In order to meet the objectives of the paper, two directional hypotheses have been formulated and t test is used to find out the deference between the level of spirituality among science and arts stream students it has been found that groups were not significantly differ with respect to their level of spirituality. And one way ANOVA with post hoc is computed to examine the influence of spirituality on academic performance, result showed that there is significant influence of spirituality on academic performance, eventually, post hoc concluded, no significant influence of the low and moderate level of spirituality on academic performance, but high spirituality increases the academic performance.

HUBUNGAN KEMATANGAN EMOSI DENGAN KINERJA PERAWAT PELAKSANA DI RUANG PERAWATAN

Kematangan emosi merupakan kemampuan individu untuk dapat mengendalikan emosi serta mengontrol diri secara sadar, menekankan pengekspresian, tidak meledakkan emosi, menilai situasi secara kritis dan mampu memiliki reaksi emosional secara stabil. Kematangan emosi yang baik dapat mempengaruhi kinerja perawat pelaksana dalam memberikan pelayanan keperawatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa hubungan kematangan emosi dengan kinerja perawat pelaksana di ruang perawatan Rumah Sakit Ciremai Kota Cirebon. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif non eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional terhadap 22 perawat pelaksana yang diambil secara total sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner. Analisa dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel independen dengan variabel dependen digunakan tekhnik analisis korelasi chi square.Hasil penelitian diperoleh 22 responden dengan kematangan emosi kurang sebanyak 8 orang. Dari 8 orang tersebut 87,5% mempunyai kinerja kurang dan 12,5% mempunyai kinerja baik. Sedangkan 14 orang responden tingkat kematangan emosinya baik, dari 14 orang tersebut 21,4% mempunyai kinerja kurang dan 78,6% mempunyai kematangan emosi dan kinerja yang baik. Hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan chi square didapatkan ρ value = 0,006 < 0,05 berarti Ha gagal ditolak, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kematangan emosi dengan kinerja perawat pelaksana di ruang perawatan Rumah Sakit Ciremai Kota Cirebon. The research instrument used in this research is a questionnaire. The analysis was conducted to find out the correlation between independent variable and dependent variable used chi square correlation analysis technique.Result of research in obtaining 22 responder with emotion maturity less counted 8 people, From 8 people 87,5% having performance less and 12,5% having good performance. ANALISIS PENGARUH MOTIVASI KERJA DAN PELATIHAN TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI DINAS PENDIDIKAN DAN KEBUDAYAAN KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

The purpose of this research is to analyza the influence of work motivation and training on the performance of the employees at the Education and Culture Office Of Padang Pariaman Regency. In this study using descriptive analisys. This analysis is to strengthen the argumentation and logic in answering and implementing allegations that will be described in quantitative analysis, for testing this research hypothesis, including multiple regression analysis. The result of this study illustrate that all variables affect the performance of employees. The result of this research where the variable of work motivation (X1) is known equal to 1,670 then training variable (X2) is obtained equal to 1,670, for employee performance result (Y) equal to 33,196. It can be concluded that the motivation of work ad training is influential in improving the performance of employees within the Department of Education and Culture of Padang Pariaman Regency.

PENGUKURAN METODE RASIO INFORMASI, RASIO SORTINO DAN ROY SAFETY FIRST RATIO PADA KINERJA REKSADANA SAHAM SYARIAH PERIODE 2015-2017

The Objective of this research is to identify whether there is a different level performance of mutual funds in syariah shares among Information Ratio, Sortino Ratio, and Roy Safety First Ratio. This analysis using qualitative descriptive. In this case, the authority of money service website mentions there are 21 mutual funds in syariah shares could be taken as the sample of the analysis by using purposive sampling method. Verification result is done by One-way Anova test. The measurement result of the mutual fund in syariah shares uses the method Information Ratio provides 3 mutual funds in syariah shares are in positive performance in 2015 and 2017 and 5 mutual funds in syariah shares are in negative performance in 2016. It means there is a different performance result of mutual fund in syariah shares. The result Sortino ratio provides all of mutual fund share are in negative performance in all of year. It means there is no different performance result of mutual fund in syariah shares. The result Roy Safety First Ratio provides all of mutual funds in syariah shares are in negative performance in 2015, 2 mutual funds in syariah shares are in negative performance in 2016 and 4 mutual funds in syariah shares are in positive performance in 2017.
