Abstract Fish resources of the study were landed in the Archipelagic Fishing Port of Brondong and it is dominated by the demersal fish (bottom). The red snapper (Lutjanus spp.) is one of demersal fish that is found in the Archipelagic Fishing port of Brondong. There is a catch on the red snapper (Lutjanus spp.) that takes place continuously without good management. This condition can impact to the decline or fullness of the number of its population, it is necessary to have a review to suspect the potential of sustainable catch and the number of total allowable catch, and the number of total allowable efforts in the management of the sustainable fishing commodity of red snapper (Lutjanus spp.). The data analysis method used is the production surplus model. The result of this research showed that the potential for maximum sustainable catch (YMSY) is 102.88 tons/year and total allowable catch (TAC) is 82.31 tons/year. Maximum sustainable effort (fMSY) is 709 trips/year and total allowable effort is 242 trips/year. utilization rate is 75% where condition in status fully exploited.

Fish is a protein source that is very potential and needed by humans. One of the fish that has a high enough nutrient content is Red Snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus). Snapper fish contains 92 kilocalories of energy, 20 grams of protein, 0 grams of carbohydrates, 0.7 grams of fat, 20 milligrams of calcium, 200 milligrams of phosphorus, and 1 milligram of iron. The high water content is one potential that must be considered because it is a good medium for microbial growth. Therefore efforts are needed to maintain the nutritional content, freshness, taste, and extend the shelf life through preservation, one of which is by freezing. The Air Blast Freezing method is one of the freezing methods that uses a combination of low temperatures which are temperatures of -35℃ to -40℃ by blowing cold air  quickly towards the product. This method has the advantage of one of which is relatively easy operation. The purpose of this field work practice is to know the process of freezing Red Snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus) with the Air Blast Freezing (ABF) method and the obstacles in the production of Red Snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus) using the Air Blast Freezing (ABF) method. The stages of the production process of Red Snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus) are the reception of raw materials, washing I, sorting, washing II, weighing, washing III, preparation, freezing with the Air Blast Freezing (ABF) method, glazing, packaging, storaging, stuffing. The freezing process with the Air Blast Freezing (ABF) method uses a temperature of -35℃ to -40℃ for 6-8 hours so that the plant can produce as much as 3 tons in one day. Obstacles to the freezing process at PT ILUFA are raw materials that contain parasites. Factors that influence the freezing process include raw materials during the reception and monitoring process during the freezing process in the ABF engine.

Marine fish, particularly the red snappers, are often exposed to helminth parasitic infestation. As a result of the parasitic infestation, the fish population, the fish weight, and the morphological changes in the fish are shrinking. The present research aimed to find out the intensity and predilection of the helminth ectoparasites over the infection of the red snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus) and employed the survey method for this purpose. The sampling was carried out by the purposive sampling technique. The sample obtained consisted of 30 fish, 20% of the total red snapper population of 150 fish reared in the floating net cages of Balai Besar Perikanan Budidaya Laut Lampung. The intensity of the fish infestation by a mixture of Haliotrema epinepheli and Benedenia epinepheli was 132.5 individuals/fish. Neobenedenia girellae and Haliotrema epinepheli infected fish with an intensity of 149.41 individuals/fish. The 66.7% of Benedenia epinepheli had a predilection for the dorsal fin, and 33.3% for the anal fin. In Neobenedenia girellae, 57.1% had a predilection for the body surface, 37.2% for the head surface, and 5.7% for the dorsal fin. In conclusion, all sampled fish were positively infected with helminth ectoparasites, including Neobenedenia girellae, Haliotrema epinepheli, and Benedenia epinepheli.

Marine aquaculture activities in the Sangihe Islands, more specifically in the waters of Talengen Bay, are not yet optimal and still utilize seeds from catches in nature. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Oodev hormone and obtain the best dose to stimulate the gonadal maturity level (TKG) of red snapper (Lutjanus sp.). The red snapper used comes from the catch in the waters of Talengen Bay and is also domesticated in floating net cages. The sampled fish used were 60 individuals with average body weight (30.5 g). The Oodev hormone dose treatment, namely; 0 mL/kg, 0.5 mL/kg, 1 mL/kg and 1.5 mL/kg. Oodev hormone was applied to commercial feed specifically for marine fish with the trademark Megami GR-3 orally for 30 days of rearing. The results showed that the administration of the Oodev hormone had a positive effect on the gonadal maturity level of red snapper, with the development of different levels of gonadal maturity in each treatment. The 0.5 mL/kg dose treatment resulted in the highest gonadal maturity level (TKG III). The maturation stage was followed by 1 mL/kg and 1.5 mL/kg (TKG II) treatments. Meanwhile, compared with the 0 mL/kg treatment, the developmental stage was still TKG I (immature). These findings provide Oodev hormone with 0.5 mL/kg dose could stimulate the red snapper gonad maturity level to mature for 30 days of rearing.
