Introduction: Hypertension was one of degenerative diseases commonly in elderly. Hypertension is a problem in elderly because could be a risk factor for stroke, heart failure, and coronary diseases. Athelosclerosis is one of coronary diseases caused by hypertension. The combination between walking and deep breathing technique effectively to decrease blood pressure levels and increase ankle brachial index.Method: This research used quasi experimental design. Respondent in this research is 62 people (31 people intervention group and 31 control group). Respondent selected by purposive sampling. The independent variable was JASE-PIRELAK and the dependent variable was blood pressure and ankle-brachial index. The instrument was an observational sheet. Data analysis used Independent T-test and Mann-Whitney Test. Results: The results showed that there was influence JASE-PIRELAK to decrease systolic blood pressure in the intervention group (p=0,000). In otherwise no influence in control group (p=0,850). As influence as to increase ankle-brachial index in intervention group (p=0,000) and control group (p=0,014).Discussion: It can be concluded that in JASE-PIRELAK had a influence to decrease blood pressure and increase ankle-brachial index in elderly hypertension. The future research are expected to do with many more samples and increase the time of the research, and capable control the consumption of sodium for optimal result.

Introduction: Hypertension is one of degenerative disease that is often found in the elderly group. Many studies have been developed to reduce blood pressure, including complementary therapies. One of the complementary therapies is by utilizing Phaleria Macrocarpa. This study was aimed to explain the effect of Phaleria macrocarpa ethnic food complementary to decrease blood pressure of elderly with hypertension. Methods : Design used in this study was quasy experiment design. The population was the elderly with hypertension in UPT PSTW Blitar (in Blitar and Tulungagung). Total sampel was 40 respondens, taken according to inclusion criteria. The independent variabel was Phaleria macrocarpa ethnic food complementary. The dependent variabel was blood pressure. Data were collected using measurement blood pressure and made ethnic food complementary with Standart Operational Procedure. Data were analzed using paired t-test and ANOVA with level of significance of ≤ 0,05. Results : The Results showed that there were effect of giving intervention by ethnic food complementary with phaleria macrocarpa fruit, leaf, or mixed (fruit and leaf) to decrease blood pressure (systolic, diastolic, and MAP). Conclusion : This intervention can be used as a complementary therapy herbal to decrease high blood pressure.

Hypertension and its complications can be minimized by using pharmacological and non- pharmacological therapy. One of the non-pharmacological therapies is musical therapy. This literature review aims to find out how music can affect blood pressure. This literature review follows the method of analyzing PICO (problem, intervention, comparison, outcome) from 20 articles obtained from Google Scholar, Science Direct, and OAJSE from 2001-2018 using the following keywords: 'Musical Therapy', 'Music for Hypertension', and 'Hypertension Therapy'. From 20 articles, the musical therapy showed effective outcome to decrease blood pressure in patients with hypertension, including by using classical music, instrumental music, and moderate frequency music. The result of this literature review recommends the application of musical therapy to decrease blood pressure for patients with hypertension.

Keywords: musical therapy, hypertension, blood pressure

Background: Sports activity affects a person's fitness level. Sports activities in the form of aerobic exercise, resistance or resistance training and flexibility exercises can improve your fitness. The exercise was done with medium intensity 3 times per week and 30 minutes duration. The importance of one's body fitness should get more attention. Especially in improving the quality of physical condition capabilities such as cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and endurance, body shape. In this case a person can perform maximum exercise on the physical condition. This study aims to find out how the effect of walking 30 minutes to decrease blood pressure in elderly in working area of Health Center of Pacer Balik Kota Makassar. Method: This research is Quasy Experiment with Pre and Post Test Without Control design. The sample of research is 30 respondents. The research instrument is a tool to check uric acid levels and blood pressure measuring devices. Result: Blood pressure of respondent before walking done have mean value 3,40 mmHg and walking done have mean value 2,47 mmHg, Based on hypothesis test which have been done, hence obtained conclusion that walking 30 min influence significantly to pressure drop blood. Based on the calculation that has been done, obtained p-value for the pair of pre-posttest variable for blood pressure is 0.000 while the significance level α = 0.05. Conclusion and Suggestion: Based on hypothesis testing that has been done, hence obtained conclusion that walk 30 minutes influence significantly to decrease blood pressure. By knowing the influence of elderly gymnastics on the decrease of blood pressure in elderly with hypertension, nurses are expected to give and suggest non-pharmacological intervention and walk 3 times a week with 30 minutes duration in minimizing risk of complication of hypertension.
