A model is proposed here to investigate how the relationships between health, production, and wellbeing contribute to the achievement (or otherwise) of potential government objectives. This model uses a basic general equilibrium framework with heterogeneous individuals and two goods (healthcare and other). Public health and publically and privately provided healthcare affect health level, which in turn affects productivity. Several different potential objectives of the government agent are investigated, which determine the distribution of public healthcare. The model is solved numerically to understand the effects of the choices of government objectives including the level of inequality aversion and varying tax rates. For governments with high inequality aversion that maximise social welfare from utility, a non-zero tax rate may be optimal, even with high levels of public health.

Nowadays, the health level of residents has become the focus of people’s attention. Under the background of the development of health service from “disease-centered” to “health-centered,” it is very important to improve the level of urban health and clarify the factors affecting urban health. Therefore, this paper quantifies the relationship between residents’ health literacy level and environment, average life expectancy, infectious disease mortality, and other indicators by selecting appropriate indicators and establishing a mathematical model. Based on the reciprocal linear combination of the collected index data and the corresponding health level value, the prediction model of social health literacy level (SPM) was established, and the qualitative prediction and quantitative analysis of citizens’ health literacy level were studied in depth. Based on the SPM model, we can roughly predict the level of health literacy in a region only based on the main variables identified in this paper. The consistency of the experiment shows that the model is effective and robust, and it reveals that environmental factors are the most important factors affecting residents’ health literacy level. The actual data show that THE SPM model is a timely and reasonable framework to measure the health literacy level of residents.

Abstract The increase in built-up land and the decrease in vegetated land due to human activities have worsened watershed health from time to time. This study aims to assess the watershed’s health and changes every ten years based on the percentage of vegetated land cover except agricultural land in the Upper Citarum watershed, West Java. Land cover information was obtained from the processing of Landsat imagery in 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020 based on remote sensing using the supervised classification method. The watershed health level is determined by calculating the percentage of vegetated land cover of 173 catchments. The results show that the area of the vegetated land cover decreased from 1990 to 2000, then increased from 2000 to 2010, and decreased again from 2010 to 2020. Changes in the area of vegetated land in each period of the year affect the health level of the watershed in a spatiotemporal manner. Although these changes occur in a fluctuating manner, the number of unhealthy catchments in the Upper Citarum watershed is increasing, especially in the Ci Kapundung sub-watershed in the north and Ci Sangkuy in the south.

The purpose was to analyze the psychological changes of teaching staff in the academic management of local colleges, and briefly explore the role of teaching staff in the development of the social economy and colleges. In the environment of artificial intelligence and human–computer interaction (HCI), first, the relevant theories of teaching staffs’ psychological status and the characteristics of teaching staff in college academic management were analyzed and expounded. Next, the way of the questionnaire was selected to analyze the psychology of teaching staff in college academic management at different ages, professional titles, academic qualifications, disciplines, and teaching years. The results showed that the mental health level of college teachers was lower than the current national adult standard; the mental health level of female teachers in colleges was higher than that of male teachers; the p value of mental health of college teachers with different ages, professional titles, education, disciplines, and teaching years was greater than 0.05, indicating that there was no significant difference; the p-value of professional academic and mental health was less than 0.01, indicating that there was a significant correlation, that was, teachers’ professional academic exerted a significant impact on teachers’ mental health. In short, under the background of artificial intelligence and HCI’s rapid development, higher education was moving forward with high quality, and more attention should be paid to the psychological changes of college teaching staff.

This study is included in a quantitative descriptive study to assess the health of state-owned enterprises in the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data were analyzed using the RGEC model which measures aspects of risk profile, corporate governance, profitability and capital adequacy. The results of the study concluded that after assessing all aspects of RGEC, it was concluded that state-owned banks were in very healthy condition except for Bank BNI and Bank BTN in healthy condition. BNI Bank which seems to have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The level of nutritional health of children and adolescents is an important indicator of social development, and grandparents, as common co-caregivers, may have a considerable impact on the health level of their grandchildren. In this paper, we investigated the effects of grandparents’ coresidence on children’s and adolescents’ nutritional health levels using the CHNS (China Health and Nutrition Survey) database using the PSM (Propensity Score Matching) method’ and identified heterogeneity in the effects of grandparents’ coresidence by PSM grouping in terms of urban and rural areas, age, and the mothers’ education level. It was found that grandparents’ coresidence is beneficial for children’s and adolescents’ health to a certain extent. Overfeeding and spoil that many people worried when grandparents involved in childcare did not happen in our samples. Moreover, grandparents’ coresidence had a more significant effect on the health level of children and adolescents in rural areas at a younger age and with a lower level of maternal education. Government and families should put more effort into equipping caregivers with knowledge on how to raise their grandchildren better.

Abstract Background: How health status affects residents’ purchase of commercial health insurance and whether social insurance will crowd out the demand of commercial health insurance are important issues related to the development of commercial health insurance. Further, this paper also attempts to answer why people with worse health buy less commercial health insurance through mechanism analysis. Methods: We used Logit model to analyze the impact of self-rated health level on the purchase of commercial health insurance and the crowding out effect of participating in social health insurance on the purchase of commercial health insurance. In addition, we also successively introduced the respondents with worse and worse health status for regression analysis and analyzed the reasons why the poor health groups reduce the purchase of commercial medical insurance. Results: When performing regression analysis on whether to purchase commercial health insurance, the regression coefficient of having social health insurance is -0.497 and the regression coefficient of self-rated health level is -0.182, but the health status has no significant impact on whether to have social health insurance. Conclusions: The expansion of social basic health insurance has a restraining effect on the promotion of commercial health insurance, and self-rated health level has a negative impact on the purchase of commercial health insurance. The reason why individuals with poor health buy less commercial health insurance is that commercial insurance companies often refuse to cover individuals in poor health.JEL: I11, G22
