Today’s customers often require the vehicle manufacturer to document passenger compartment heating for specific test conditions. Without correct selection and sizing of the HVAC system for the passenger compartment, thermal comfort cannot be ensured. One of the aims that the manufacturers of modern vehicles have in mind is the development of new and optimization of the existing systems for achieving and maintaining thermal comfort in the passenger area. The selection of system components to achieve the required thermal comfort in the passenger compartment is the first step. The second step consists on the optimization of the selected thermal comfort control concept of the passenger compartment under various environmental conditions. For the computerized evaluation of thermal comfort at selected standing place, the 4 following measurement variables are used: air speed, humidity, air temperature and the temperature of the black ball. In addition to the prediction of percentage of unsatisfied persons during the heat up phase of the vehicle passenger compartment, the special thermal conditions in the vehicle are pointed out. Within the scope of the work the thermal comfort of the inhomogeneous is compared with the homogeneous environment. Using the operational and the equivalent temperature according to SAE J2234 the homogeneous environments are determined. The following external conditions are constant; incident-flow velocity of the vehicle, air temperature and humidity. The aim of the paper is to indicate a complexity of determining the thermal comfort conditions in passenger vehicles.

Abstract Objectives To investigate the radionuclide bone imaging (RBI) manifestation of femoral head necrosis (FHN) in different magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings. Materials and Methods 72 hips in 42 patients with FHN underwent MRI and RBI examination to observe the RBI manifestation of FHN in different MRI types. Results There were 23 hips with MRI Type I FHN, 11 hips showing the corresponding RBI manifestation of ‘hands-holding-a-white-ball sign’ and 7 hips showing the ‘doughnut sign’. There are thirty-seven hips with MRI Type II FHN, 16 hips showing the corresponding RBI manifestation of diffusely increased uptake, 7 hips showing the ‘hands-holding-a-black-ball sign’, 7 hips showing the ‘doughnut sign’ and 4 hips showing the ‘hands-holding-a-white-ball sign’. There were 12 hips with Type III FHN, 11 hips showing the corresponding RBI manifestation of diffusely increased uptake and 1 hip showing the ‘hands-holding-a-black-ball sign’. The ‘hands-holding-a-white-ball sign’ in Type I FHN was significantly higher than that of Type II-III FHN (P<0.05), and the diffusely increased uptake in Type I FHN was significantly lower than that of Type II-III FHN (P<0.05). Conclusions Different MRI findings of FHN lead to diverse RBI findings . In addition, the ‘doughnut sign’, the ‘hands-holding-a-white-ball sign’ and the ‘hands-holding-a-black-ball sign’ also have diagnostic value for FHN.

In this paper, an office building's indoor environmental parameters in winter are tested and its comfort and its influencing factors are analyzed. The study used a thermal comfort equipment to obtain parameters including dry bulb temperature, wet bulb temperature, black ball temperature, relative humidity and wind speed. Then these parameters are available to calculate PMV-PPD. The results showed that the range of PMV mean value is from-0.83 to 0.58 and the range of PPD mean value is from 8 % to 22 %.

Black Ball and Hong Tang are two pioneers of Taiwanese dessert sellers in Jakarta. Both of them have product offering characteristics that are alike and have the same target market. From the initial observation, the researcher found that even though Black Ball has more outlets than Hong Tang, but Black Ball seems to be less popular than Hong Tang. The consumers’ preferences are varied, there are some consumers prefer Hong Tang, but there are also those who choose Black Ball, because of the food quality, the service provided, and also the experiences they get during the consumption process. Therefore, both Black Ball and Hong Tang have to consider about the experiential value to be offered to their customers, in order to increase their customer satisfaction, so that they can sustainably survive in the midst of challenging competition. The objectives of this research are to examine whether there is any difference of experiential value dimensions and customer satisfaction between Hong Tang and Black Ball and to examine the relationship between experiential value dimensions and customer satisfaction of Hong Tang and Black Ball. The result of this research concludes that there is no difference of all experiential value dimensions and customer satisfaction between Hong Tang and Black Ball and there is a strong and significant relationship between all experiential value dimensions and customer satisfaction of Hong Tang and Black Ball.
