Abstract- Dalem or Prince’s House is a house given by Keraton Yogyakarta to Sultan’s relatives. Dalem is located in and around the Jeron Beteng area in Yogyakarta. Nowadays dalem has changing especially in the function and the spatial structure of dalem. Those changes are influenced by the increase population density and the modernization culture of the people who lived around the area of Jeron Beteng. The changes that arise in dalem, especially about the spatial structure, is an interesting thing to investigate. The purpose of this study id to understand the changes that occur in the dalem spatial structure and the aspects that experience the most of the changing in dalem. The research used descriptive method with qualitative approach by examining aspects of the region’s history and Javanese culture. Both of these aspects explain the existence of the culture and rituals that are carried continuously and become the basis for the formation of the spatial structure with spaces that are needed for supporting the rituals. The datas are obtain by conducting field observations, interviews, and literature studies. The analysis of dalem is reviewed by studying the culture and history of Yogyakarta and tha principles of Yogyakarta’s traditional architecture. This study attempts to reveal how the changes that occur in spatial structure in dalem by comparing the conditionsd of spatial structure based on the principles of Yogyakarta’s traditional architecture with current conditions of dalem. The spatial structure are discussed by orientation, function, shape, zoning, and mass arrangement of dalem. The result of this study found that the changes that occur in dalem begins with an increase of the population density and a modernization culture do that there is a need to change the function in dalem for maximizing the use of the space, changes in zoning space of the area, and the addition of mass to the mass arrangements. Key Words: Transformation, dalem, spatial structure, Jeron Beteng

Through potential field theory in magnetic and gravity methods, ambiguity that presented is the difficult factor in the application of both methods. Moreover the application of magnetic method which involve the effect of positive and negative polarity are more complicated. Some techniques and methods have been used to overcome problem of ambiguity in order to make easier interpretation. One of the techniques is the transformation from anomaly magnetic to pseudo-gravity data. This method will be used within analysis and processing anomaly magnetic data at Asahan Arch to analyze lineaments and faults that appear in this area. Transformation result will be compared with another data which is secondary data about sediment thickness and fault at the same area. This technique shows that indication of fault more clearly than the original data or anomaly magnetic data. Key Words: Transformation, Pseudo-Gravity, Asahan High.

Abstract: Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s Arok Dedes (1999) is a portrait of literary dynamics as the result of its transformation from the previous work, namely Pararatonan outstanding literary work of old Java. The novel of Arok Dedes, in its relevance with historical context, means a dynamic literary phenomenon because the literary dynamics cannot be separated from history. In the novel Arok Dedes, through his creative sophistication and process, Pramoedya Ananta Tour attempted to retell the 13th century of the event as a satire on present events, especially in the 20th century. Arok Dedes narrated the struggle for the first power in Indonesian history, which is a repetition of preceding events. Pramoedya Ananta Tour, as the author of Arok Dedes, was successful enough in presenting Dedes’ myth and expressing it in globalization discourses. The role of Dedes was noteworthy in the political domain, power, and state because Dedes was the mastermind of power transfer from her husband (Tunggul Ametung) to Arok. The myth of Ken Dedes having prestige or wisdom dug by Pramoedya Ananta Tour from Pararaton makes Arok Dedes a significant modern literary work, particularly in the current globalization discourses. Dedes, as woman figure, was related to power, politics, and state. Key Words: transformation, discourse, globalization

This article explores interesting phenomena occurring at Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo, that is transformation system. Even though it is popular with salaf tradition, Pondok Pesantren Salafiy Terpadu Ar-Risalah is successfully integrating salaf education system and modern system. The new generation of the Pondok are not always satisfied with what was established with the founding fathers of the Pondok due to the change of reality. Therefore, transformation happens. This can be seen in Pondok Pesantren Salafiy Terpadu Ar-Risalah Lirboyo, which integrates salaf tradition and modern system. Key words: Transformation, Education, System, and Pesantren.

In 2008–2010, the Australian Government’s social inclusion agenda and the Bradley Review of Higher Education profiled the importance of education for people from disadvantaged backgrounds. This education needs to be transformative in both its nature and its outcomes. The Clemente Australia program is presented here as a means of providing such transformative education for people who are disadvantaged or socially isolated. This case study of Clemente Australia shows how the program is built upon a psychology of hope and provides pathways not only to new hope but also to a new sense of identity and independence. Clemente Australia (CA) is an example of community embedded, socially supported university education (CESS). Essential elements of CA are respecting people for who they are and for where they are within their individual life journeys; building student capacity to be more proactive in reflecting upon and engaging with the world; learning with and relating to others; and promoting educative justice through the recognition of the students’ human rights to participate in tertiary education in a way that meets their personal and academic learning needs. For the students, the university (Australian Catholic University) and other partners in CA, it is evident that there has been an ongoing shift from dependence upon the provision of materials and services to empowerment and enhanced capabilities in identifying the supports and processes required to meet the personal and professional needs of students, staff and community agencies. This shift has occurred through the scaffolding processes provided, the establishment of innovative partnerships and purposeful reflection. It has involved listening to one another, welcoming people into new worlds and challenging one another in the provision of transformative education to realise the fulfilment of hope for many Australians experiencing disadvantage. key words: transformation; education; community; hope; homelessness; disadvantage

The Glentress Trial was established by M.L. Anderson in 1952 as a demonstration of transformation to irregular structure of an upland conifer forest in southern Scotland. The trial area (117 ha) is one of the longest continuously-studied forest research areas in Britain. The dominant tree species are Sitka spruce, European larch, Scots pine and Douglas-fir. The most important silvicultural system is group selection, with group size varying from 0.1 to 0.2 ha. Groups are restocked by planting or natural regeneration. Interim results point to the development of an irregular forest structure, although the transformation will not be complete until 2033. The trial demonstrates the value of continuous cover forests in meeting multiple forest management objectives, and is a resource of increasing importance for silviculture education and long-term research. Key words: transformation, irregular structure, uneven-aged management, Sitka spruce, Douglas-fir, long-term silviculture research

A rapid and efficient electroporation procedure has been developed for transformation of germinating conidia of filamentous fungi. Pretreatment of conidial preparations with a cell wall weakening agent, such as β-glucuronidase, was found to be essential for successful transformation. Using the qa-2+ gene of Neurospora crassa, encoding the catabolic dehydroquinase, as a selectable marker with a double-mutant host strain, auxotrophic for aromatic amino acids, integration of the plasmid was observed to be predominantly at ectopic chromosomal sites. Cotransformation with the qa-2+ gene and a plasmid containing a heat shock gene sequence (hsp70 of N. crassa) suggested integration site preference. High efficiencies of transformation to hygromycin resistance were achieved employing the bacterial hygromycin B phosphotransferase gene with N. crassa, the patulin-producer Penicillium urticae, and the causal agent of blackleg disease of crucifers, Leptosphaeria maculans. The economically important species Aspergillus oryzae was similarly transformed to benomyl resistance with the benomyl-resistant β-tubulin gene of N. crassa as a dominant selectable marker. Key words: transformation, Neurospora, Aspergillus, Penicillium, Leptosphaeria, electroporation.

Two rapeseed varieties, namely Tori-7 and BARI Sarisha-8, respectively, from Brassica rapa and Brassica napus were selected to observe the transformation ability. Petioles were inoculated in Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA 4404 carrying a binary vector pBl2l with GUS (reporter) and nptII (kanamycin resistant) gene. The transformation experiment was performed by optimizing two important factors: preculture time and co-cultivation time and also selected out the best variety. Infection was most effective when explants were pre-cultured for 72 hours (80% GUS positive). and co-cultivated for 72 hours (72% GUS positive). The variety Tori-7 showed the best response to GUS assay (65% GUS positive). Callus induction was the highest in Tori-7, which were 6% with 72 hours of preculture period and 9% in 48 hours of co-cultivation. Number of putative transformed plantlets were highest in Tori-7 (7 plants) followed by BARI Sarisha-8 (3 plants). Key words: Transformation; Brassica; GUS; Agrobacterium.
