Purpose. The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical description of the transformation of the frame model of weft-knits under the action of tensile forces in the courswise direction for further three-dimensional modeling of the knited structure.Methodology. Methods of theoretical analysis and synthesis, basics of knitting theory, methods of geometric modeling and parameterization were used in the research process.Findings. Considering the knitwear stretching during the use of the clothing is one of the determining factors of the quality of design decisions. When stretching the weft-knitted fabrics in the coursewise direction, the configuration of its individual stitches’ changes, as well as the thread’s cross-section due to the force interaction between the adjacent structure elements. To simulate the physical and mechanical behavior of knitwear under the stretching, it is suggested using a complex model of knitwear deformation, that includes the suggested frame model of uniaxial coursewise stretching of knitted fabrics. An algorithm for constructing a frame model of stretching a sample of knitted fabric in the coursewise direction is described in the paper. The algorithm is based on the structure parameters, including the wale spacing and course spacing in a dry relaxed state, the relative elongation of the sample at the time of modeling, number of wales and courses in the sample, the coefficient of courses narrowing. Scientific novelty. The paper investigates the features of the transformation of the knitting structure during stretching in the coursewise direction and offers algorithmic and mathematical support for the automated generation of the mesh frame in the context of three-dimensional modeling, which provides for the possibility of considering the dynamics of deformation of knitted fabric undergoing tensile deformations.Practical value. Frame model of the weft-knits deformation and algorithm of mesh-frame construction suggested in the paper, form the basis for determination of coordinates of characteristic points of the structural elements of the knit in a state of uniaxial tension for construction of a three-dimensional model of thread a deformed knitted fabric.

The paper justifies the use of the "freight frame" as a method of organizing the movement of freight vehicle in large metropolitan areas on the example of Samara city district. The study presents the characteristics of the "freight frame" of major European cities, Kazan and Moscow. A comparative analysis of approaches to the organization of the movement of freight vehicle on the basis of the "freight frame" of Russian cities and cities of foreign countries is carried out. Based on the use of the Yandex.Traffic service, an analysis of the congestion of the main transport highways of the city was carried out, a map of the transport accessibility of the city of Samara was compiled with the calculation of the transport accessibility indices of its districts. To analyze the load of freight transport in the Samara region and the city of Samara, the intensity and composition of the traffic of freight transport on the major streets of the city were calculated using the NETVISION Traffic software and hardware complex, differentiated by months and day time. The result of the analysis allowed to identify the most significant problems of traffic management. On the basis of the used methods of freight traffic analysis, the necessity of implementing the "freight frame" model in the city of Samara was justified. A set of sequential measures is proposed to ensure the step-by-step formation of the freight frame model.

The purpose of this study is to develop a frame model for stretching the weft-knits in the wale direction, suitable for further integration into the algorithm for building a three-dimensional knitwear model in a stretched state and modeling of interactive deformation dynamics. Methodology.  Methods  of  theoretical  analysis,  basics  of  knitting  theory,  topological  model  of knitwear, methods of geometric modeling and parameterization were used in the research process. Findings. Modeling the physical and mechanical behavior of knitwear in a computer environment is one of the promising ways to increase the level of conformity of knitted products with the requirements of comfort and functionality. However, the complexity of the internal structure, the anisotropy of properties and the instability of the parameters of the loop structure determine the need to find non-trivial ways to solve the problem of mathematical description of the three-dimensional model of the thread, knitted in the knitwear, considering the stretching deformations. During  the  study,  a  frame  model  of  a  uniaxial  stretching  of  knitwear  in  the  wale  direction  was developed. The basis of the frame model is the idea of a knitted structure, represented as a logically organized set of elements, each of which is interlaces with other elements in accordance with the topology of knit. The frame of the jersey fragment is described as a set of bars and hinges. The hinges are located at the interlacing points of the loop heads and loop feet, and each rod in the model is an imaginary element representing a complex of force factors that prevent the change of distance between the hinges connected to the given rod. In the process of stretching, the geometrical characteristics of the elements change, while the logical connections remain unchanged. The wireframe model allows to define coordinates of interlacement points in the coordinate system of the sample, relative position of coordinate systems of each elementary fragment, which correspond to  given  loops,  coordinates  of  characteristic  points  of  a loop  for  transition  to  a three-dimensional model of a knitted structure. Scientific novelty. For the first time, a frame model of deformation of the knit, suitable for three-dimensional modeling of its structure, considering deformation of the thrust, was developed. Practical value. The developed model can be used as mathematical support of systems of automated designing of knits.

Background: Social media is changing the modern academic landscape; this study sought to explore how organizational structures support or inhibit the harnessing of social media use in academic contexts and knowledge translation. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted using framework analysis based on the Bolman and Deal’s Four-Frame Model—structural, human resources, political and symbolic. The research team used the snowball sampling technique to recruit participants following the completion of each participant’s semi-structured interview. A member check was completed to ensure rigour. Results: 16 social media educators and experts from several countries participated in the study. Study findings showed that within the Structural Frame, participants’ organizations were reported to have with diverse hierarchical structures, ranging hospital-based (strict), education institutional-based and online only groups (malleable). The Human Resources Frame revealed that most participants’ social media organizations operated on unpaid volunteer staff. The training of these staff was primarily via role-modeling and mentorship. Regarding the Political Frame, social media helped participants accumulate scholarly currency and influence within their field of practice. The Symbolic Frame showed a wide range of traditional to non-traditional organizational supports, which interacted with both intrinsic to extrinsic motivation. Conclusions: Bolman and Deal’s Four-Frame Model framework may serve as an effective guideline for academic leaders who wish to strategically implement or enhance social media use into their organizations. The key insights that we have gained from our participants are how new emerging forms of scholarly pursuits can be more effectively enabled or hindered by the attributes of the organization within which these are occurring.

Abstract The purpose of this article is to explore broadsheet newspaper framing and agenda-setting of two events using the five-frame model developed by Semetko and Valkenburg (2000). This article provides insight into how the leading broadsheet newspaper within BiH’s Republika Srpska frames relationships between the three main ethnic groups and is the first such study to occur in BiH. By identifying and exploring the most common frames in Glas Srpske during the five-year period (from 31 December 2015 to 30 December 2020), the research is meant to answer the following research questions: How does Glas Srpske frame the conversation about it and portray the Day of Republika Srpska (RS) and Referendum of the RS Day? The results, which find Attribution of Responsibility and Conflict frames to be the more prevalent in Glas Srpske, illustrate contentious politics that reinforce differences between ethnic groups in BiH. These events and the controversial narrative surrounding them are relevant more than ever in the light of the recent non-paper ‘Western Balkans – A Way Forward’.

The paper proposes a linguistic approach to studying code-switching in IT discourse of Moscovian IT specialists. The topic is of special interest since nowadays code-switching dominates in a number of professional spheres such as informational technologies, marketing and telecommunications. It also becomes a new language for the modern generation and moreover, a necessary tool for establishing contacts and demonstrating community affiliation. This new code exists not only within workplaces but also beyond them, that is why the aim of the article is to present an in-depth research into how IT discourse shapes Russian digital language on the whole. The methodology used for research is the Matrix Language Frame Model by C. Myers-Scotton (1993). The language units, which are represented by code-switches, are also analyzed in terms of their syntactic, morphological features and pragmatic functions. The research carried among more than 200 IT‑specialists provided a thorough understanding of linguistic features and pragmatic functions of the collected code-switches and what is more, proved the impact of the sociolect on the Russian digital language
