The superconducting linac for China initiative Accelerator Driven Subcritical System (CiADS) is the world-leading ADS-driver under construction with state-of-the-art technologies. This system is designed to accelerate a 5 mA proton beam to 500 MeV energy, and then delivering 2.5 MW of beam power to the neutron production target. The Middle Energy Beam Transport (MEBT) is designed with great emphasis on smoothing matching between the upstream and downstream acceleration sections, beam diagnostics layout and beam quality control. It is proposed and successfully implemented to immigrate the phase space distortion and reduce the increase of beam emittance. The acceptance of MEBT is optimized to make all the particles inside the effective acceptance of the superconducting section even with machine errors. This pertinent design of MEBT is suitable for the high-power superconducting accelerator of CiADS.

Employee discipline is very necessary to improve work culture and employee performance. One part of the disciplinary effort is the use of an attendance device in the form of a finger print. The implementation of finger print attendance at the Office of Community and Village Empowerment Service in South Sulawesi Province can also make it easier for superiors to see the disciplinary level of attendance of each employee. The research design used is a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. This research will be conducted at the Community and Village Empowerment Service of South Sulawesi Province. Data collection techniques used in this study are: interviews, observations, and documents. To carry out the data analysis process, the researcher conducted three stages of process, which are: 1) Data reduction; 2) data display; 3) drawing conclusions or verification. In the implementation process, the four indicators, which are target achievement, adaptability, job satisfaction and responsibility based on findings in the field are all done well. Even though there are problems during the fieldwork, they are only technical problems that can be resolved easily and carefully by the agency. There are two obstacles in supporting the effectiveness of the implementation of finger print at the PMD office of South Sulawesi province, namely the problem of finger print machines that incorrectly identify employee data and the machine errors.

The article discusses the issues of the processing method of a turning machining center for processing the accuracy of processing a sample part. The model of sample part with the smallest possible control surfaces processed by various shaping methods has been developed to detect the amount of machine errors, such as the accumulated error of the screw pitch, or the axial non-perpendicularity, or the misalignment of the X and Y drives. This allows you to get more complete information of the equipment accuracy. A test procedure is presented according to the results of measuring each surface of the sample part

This chapter analyses Yaima Pardo’s Offline to explore how the cross-fertilization of documentary and digital conventions can be used to reconstruct web navigation as an immersive experience that offers itself as a pedagogical intervention and critical interrogation of internet infrastructures and practices in Cuba. In Offline, the immersive dimension of nonfictional representation (live action footage, interviews, and database video images), and the operational dimension of digital interfaces (reading emails, clicking links, navigating multiple windows, downloading data, but also witnessing machine errors produced by internet access restrictions or limitations in data transmission capacity) contaminate each other and produce a tense convergence of cinematic conventions and data processes. It is through this tense convergence of national and global database images, functional and dysfunctional interfaces, and the nonfictional remixing of pro-filmic spaces and cyberspaces that Offline comes to represent some polemics and disputes, as well as some contradictory and ambivalent aspects that form part of the internet debate in Cuba. Offline evokes the idea that documentaries can play an important role as cinematic interfaces for the development of digital humanities practices in countries where internet connection and access to digital interfaces cannot be taken for granted.

A photocopier is one of the devices needed in the printing business. The photocopier used by small companies in Indonesia is the Canon photocopier, Canon's trademark is well-known and quality in the safe. Photocopier technology is increasingly growing with the times. Once invited by Canon photocopiers, there are many variants of Canon photocopiers that can be marketed in Indonesia from the latest series to the old series, the writer takes one sample, using a Canon iR5000 copy machine, because this photocopier is widely used by small devices, so it is very it's easy to find research samples. During this time when there is damage or error in the Canon iR5000 copy machine the user will ask a technician who is an expert in the copy machine, to help repair the damage to the copy machine, so the user requires additional costs in maintenance. Therefore, an expert system will be designed to diagnose damage to the Canon iR5000 photocopier, with this expert system will help users of the Canon iR5000 photocopier in dealing with machine software error machine errors, so that users are comfortable and calm in using the copier, anything will increase use value for photocopiers, so it can be used to increase sales turnover for small and medium businesses.

To establish an accelerator facility based on superconducting linear accelerator (linac) for nuclear and applied sciences in Korea, the rare isotope science project started in December 2011 under the auspices of the Institute for Basic Science (IBS). The layout of the facility has been mostly frozen since 2013 and civil construction began in 2016. On the other hand, an alternative linac design option was recently investigated in collaboration with the linac development group of Argonne National Lab in search of a further optimized configuration. A new linac lattice was developed and evaluated against realistic machine errors using TRACK. The beam optics simulations and error analysis then proved the soundness of this alternative design. In addition, beam optics of the injector was studied for simultaneous acceleration of both stable and rare isotope beams with the use of an electron beam ion source (EBIS). Also considered are alternative options of high-power cyclotrons as ISOL driver in order to enhance the capability of rare isotope beam production and fully exploit the superconducting linac facility built at high cost.

The measurement and compensation of volumetric error in milling machines of medium and large size is a key aspect to meeting the precision requirements of the most demanding applications. There are several solutions for volumetric error measurement—usually based on laser or in calibrated artifacts—that offer different specifications and lead to a variety of levels of precision, complexity of implementation and automation, cost of equipment, and measurement time, amongst others. Therefore, it is essential to have tools that allow, in each case, analysis as to which is the optimal calibration strategy, providing the criteria for evaluating different measurement equipment and strategies. To respond to this need, several tools have been developed which are able to simulate the entire calibration and compensation process (machine, measurement, model adjustment, etc.) and apply optimization methods to find the best measurement strategy for each application. For a given machine architecture and expected error ranges, the compensation error for each strategy is obtained by propagating measurement uncertainties and expected machine errors through the measurement and compensation model fitting process by Monte Carlo simulations. The use of this tool will be demonstrated through the analysis of the influence of the main design parameters of a measurement strategy for the calibration of a 3-axis machine tool, based on the measurement of tool position with a laser tracker.

Manufacturing deals with the high quality product due to the accuracy which produced by measuring machines. In other case, the performance of regular diagnostic of measuring machine should be maintained to aim confidence and reliability in the measurements result. One of the equipment that can reach high accuracy is Direct Computer Control Coordinate Measuring Machine (DCC CMM). The accuracy of DCC CMM is a critical factor that affects result of product measuring. Operator need the higher accuracy machine to maintain the DCC CMM Performance and the consequent of the machine should has better accuracy than the DCC CMM accuracy it self. One of that tool is laser interferometer which has better accuracy than DCC CMM specification and produce the data and can be analyzed for DCC CMM performance. The consistent performance of the DCC CMM is constrained by the errors that brought by the machine error that occurs on a periodic basis on the account of machine usage, machine age and operating temperature. DCC CMM accuracy was compensated and improved by identifying the machine condition. This condition also applicable for predict the machine errors.

Machine tool accuracy analysis has become increasingly important since accuracy as the major parameter of a machine is to a large extent determined by geometric accuracy design. In order to improve the comprehensiveness and veracity of geometric accuracy design, this article proposes an improved geometric error analysis method considering the variety of sensitivities over working space. A multi-rigid-body model which includes cutting tool’s wear-out error and workpiece’s clamping error is established to represent the position relationship of machine tool’s working components. The expression of geometric error is converted from matrix form to screw form through the screw mapping theory, so that rotational error can be expressed and calculated directly like the translational error. Considering motion errors along axes over the whole working space instead of at a fixed position, an improved sensitivity analysis algorithm is conducted to identify, among 38 components of errors increased the variety with tool wear and clamping errors, which of them have a significant impact on four different types of machine errors. Finally, the proposed method was implemented and validated on a horizontal boring machine, and the sensitivity analysis results over working space would offer vital evidence for the machine’s geometric accuracy design.
