Background: Healthcare worker (HCW)-patient communication is an essential element of every patient’s journey, and evidence links good communication with favourable patient experiences and outcomes. Simulation-based training (SBT) is a promising and effective tool to improve such communication. Aim: To develop a bilingual SBT programme in communication skills for all HCWs in an academic tertiary hospital, to improve patient care, experiences and outcomes. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental design, conducted in 2018 at King Abdulaziz University (KAU). We designed and delivered a bilingual, simulation-based, full-day course for HCWs (both clinical and administrative), and measured its impact by comparing pre- and post-course test scores, participant feedback, and instructor performance satisfaction indices. Results: We trained 318 HCWs over 15 days, using 10 instructors. Post-test scores showed individual and overall improvement. The average scores were 26.6% (14-40%) for the pre-test and 55.8% (37-70%) for the post-test, with an average improvement of 29% (P<0.005). Participant feedback was 77% positive and in favour of more training. The average instructor performance satisfaction score was 96.2% (92-99%). Conclusion: We demonstrated the positive impact of SBT on communication skills for both clinical and administrative HCWs. We also demonstrated the sustainability and scalability of this course.

Recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence techniques, including machine learning models, have led to the expansion of prevailing and practical prediction simulations for various fields. The quality of teachers’ performance mainly influences the quality of educational services in universities. One of the major challenges of higher education institutions is the increase of data and how to utilize them to enhance the academic program’s quality and administrative decisions. Hence, in this paper, Artificial Intelligence assisted Multi-Objective Decision-Making model (AI-MODM) has been proposed to predict the instructor’s performance in the higher education systems. The proposed AI-assisted prediction model analyzes the numerical values on various elements allocated for a cluster of teachers to evaluate an overall quality evaluation representing the individual instructor’s performance level. Instead of replacing teachers, AI technologies would increase and motivate them. These technologies would reduce the time necessary for routine tasks to enable the faculty to focus on teaching and analysis. The usage for administrative decision-making of artificial intelligence and associated digital tools. The experimental results show that the suggested AI-MODM method enhances the accuracy (93.4%), instructor performance analysis (96.7%), specificity analysis (92.5%), RMSE (28.1 %), and precision ratio (97.9%) compared to other existing methods.

Introduction: Peer instructor teaching is an educational model in which senior students teach to their classmates or junior students. Clinical supervision is a formal, systematic, and continuous that the inexperienced person reviews and improves their performance by receiving advice from a supervisor or expert. Clinical education is a vital component of the medical science curriculum and the quality and control of its stressors are important. The purpose of this study was to combine peer instructor training model with clinical supervision on the status and stressors of clinical nursing education. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study in which a combined Peer instructor teaching and clinical supervision program was implemented. The research samples were 60 nursing students of Yazd nursing and Midwifery College who were studying in third and sixth semesters. They were selected by purposive sampling method. Data gathering tools included a four-part questionnaire including demographic characteristics, a questionnaire for assessing instructor performance in clinical education, a standard questionnaire for clinical stressors, a course satisfaction questionnaire and a clinical supervisor completed by self-report. Data analysis was done using SPSS 16 software. Result: on the finding the mean score of peer instructor evaluation was 56.42 ± 9.38 and mean score of clinical stressors was 38.72 ± 5.6. Peer instructor in most cases agreed with the peer instructor program and clinical supervision program. Conclusion: From the learners' point of view, peer instructor performance is at a good level, as well as clinical stressors at the boundary level between moderate and weak, although both results are satisfactory but there is a need for more careful planning and more training by peer educators and more accurate clinical supervision.

Generally, In Pakistan, people perceived that the quality of distance learning education is poor. Therefore, we decided to study to see if it's only people's opinion or legend. The study aims to analyze the association between instructor performance (IP), student-instructor interaction (SII), course evaluation (CE), and student satisfaction (SS) variables in distance education by taking Virtual COMSATS as a Case study. The target population of this research was the COMSATS (VIRTUAL CAMPUS). Students out of which 251 graduate and undergraduate students were selected as sample for current research. The purpose of this research study was to understand the key factors affecting student satisfaction in distance learning. Researchers also collect information through primary data using a survey questionnaire distributed through email to all the students of VCOMSAT. The literature review found that in distance learning education, student satisfaction is based on instructor performance, student-instructor interaction, course evaluation, Learning management system use, instructor attitude, etc. From the literature review, we found that course evaluation and instructor performance is very important for student satisfaction in distance learning. Researchers need to compare student's satisfaction with the subject wise. A comparison of practical subjects and without practical subjects needs to identify with student satisfaction. There is also required to compare lecturer motivation with student satisfaction and performance. Future research is also needed to compare the satisfaction of rural areas and urban areas students in distance learning education and the need to compare them with traditional education.
